    Cons -

    • Window was broken would not shut, mattress must have been 30 years old linen was not fresh, bathroom was grotty, bedroom walls were filthy beer cooler right outside window so kept me awake, also very loud music from ajasent building went on until 2.30am!

    • there was only one half used toilet roll for the three of us, no bin liner in the bin so we had nowhere to put our half eaten kebab (gross i know sorry haha) and we noticed a pair of men’s boxers hanging on the back of the bathroom door ?

The Wrens is in a good, central location which is close to everything you need, and it has very kind and welcoming staff. The room is basic but perfect for an overnight stay in Leeds. The bar itself is nice and they offer you a discount on the drinks too.

The property is less accessible if you struggle with stairs, and the door to enter or leave the property via the metal stairs at the back tends to scrape over the floor, making a louder noise which woke us up a few times.

Very nice room with a large window. Great location and staff.

The location was great, close to night life, cafe's and restaurants, laundromat, railway and supermarkets.Access was okay night and day. Linen, toiletries, tea and coffee with kettle were all good. Adequate power points.

It was a little noisy after midnight on the second floor due to a 0neighbouring nightclub but with windows closed and velvet curtains drawn it wasn't hard to get to sleep.

We loved the location, short walk from the train station and perfectly situated opposite the Grand Theatre. Great city location, nice bar and lovely staff. Room understandably small, shower might benefit from screen rather than curtain. We’d use The Wrens again for Theatre nights.

My favorite stay in Leeds Quiet then most places right next to car park and family friendly

    1AlexPosted on: 3-23-2025

Large room, friendly staff, nice pub downstairs

Increbibly loud noise from nightclub across the road made it impossible to sleep (even when wearing earplugs). Nightclub kept going till 3am, then lots of noise from people leaving, then woken up at 5.30am by noise from street cleaning machines. I got up at 5.30 and drove home to finally get some sleep at home.

    Clean, central location,

The shower was a little noisy!

    8RebeccaPosted on: 3-13-2025

It’s right by loads of bars and restaurants, you’re in the middle of the city so perfect for a night out

    3PhilipPosted on: 3-13-2025

    Property close to all amenities

Room was poor. Curtains hanging off rails . Room was cold and had to put electrical heater on. Bathroom so small , walls stained and I had a lump in my bed and could hardly sleep.

    7EmmaPosted on: 3-10-2025

The location is fantastic, and we knew to expect noise but couldn’t find the complimentary ear plugs in the room. Probably should’ve asked for some but felt we shouldn’t have to ask.

The cleanliness wasn’t great, there were 2 towels for 3 people and the shampoo was watered down. The shower head was crusty so water shot in all directions and the on/off button was missing from it. The bar the shower head was on was ill fitted and fell out at the top. I asked for more towels at the bar and a nice young lady happily got us some more but they were all old and one was very frayed.

    soft comfortable bed

room a little too cold. Plaster coming off wall and still on carpet when arrived

    4LisaPosted on: 2-20-2025

Please, you got a discount when buying drinks whilst staying at the property and you get free tea and coffee in your room

The shower was extremely noisy and very difficult to use as the switches were above the bathroom door which I couldn’t reach. We had to use the back stairs when returning from a night out and leaving early in the morning which were very very slippy.

    6DawnPosted on: 2-20-2025

Ideal location for train, city& arena. Rooms lovely & warm.

The beds too uncomfortable, recommend mattress toppers

    7JodiePosted on: 2-18-2025

    plenty of room kitchenette

the top room was freezing cold even when the heating was on i was cold all night

    8NicolaPosted on: 2-15-2025

    Spacious comfortable room.

Noisy from other pubs/clubs near by and noise from road traffic.

    4HarryPosted on: 2-15-2025

Good location to everything you could need. Perfect if your going to the arena

Showers water pressure was really bad. Water just trickled out. No heating whatsoever - main room radiator didn’t work and therefore was cold Room wasnt clean - wall was black by the bed - shower curtain was mouldy - half eaten biscuits by the tv

    4IanPosted on: 2-8-2025

    friendly staff, reasonable price

The room needed some tlc, the mattresses were uncomfortable (had to take some paracetamol in the morning) the bathroom was questionable, the bedroom door stuck and needed a good Push to open and close it, there is a lot of stairs to go up to the rooms so not suitable for less able individuals and you had to leave via the emergency exit down the fire escape. And the doors all had a sign saying undergoing renovations although there wasn't any evidence of it??
