Quiet location and handy for what we needed.

Not really a dislike but as most hotels needs a total revamp it looks tired..very cool in the dining area.

Breakfast was very good

Evening meal was not good value for the cost. The TV remote malfunctioned, there were insufficient towels on the first night, generally the room was not made ready for occupation.

The receptionist was very rude .we stood for half an hour waiting to check in tried calling the telephone number at reception 4 times but no answer.found a cleaner who was very polite and professional she said she will try to find some one.we had no sorry to have kept you waiting we could not book a meal at the restaurant due to a wedding going ahead .the room we were given was above where the disco for the wedding was so the music went on til after midnight which made it difficult to sleep.

Was extremely cheap and staff very friendly. Kitchen had closed by time we arrived but they let us order a takeaway and eat in the bar

Loved the quiet location and surrounding area by the Canal. All staff we met were very friendly, helpful, efficient and smart. Bed very comfy and great nights sleep. Loved the decor in the communal area and sofas in the bar area. Breakfast was tasty and hot. Plenty of parking.

Decor in bedrooms very dated however rooms large and clean.Windows and Doors need repainting as all paint flaking.

Price for a clean bed near The Belfry.

Hotel not like photos on booking.com site. Very old fashioned & dated. In need of TLC & updating. Too few staff. Was like staying at a ‘faulty towers’.

Looks like a great wedding venue. Secluded, quiet, and out the way. The room was a little dated but was clean and had everything we needed. Staff was friendly and helpful. Didn't try the food but had a takeaway delivered to reception. For the price I couldn't complain if I tried!

No hot water for the shower on both days. Only Luke warm water from the taps so no chance of a bath either. This was the same for another 2 guests. Room was very tired.

At the price i paid I wouldn't complain, I wanted a cheap stay I got that and it suited.Staff were friendly.The building and grounds are nice, the decor is very dated but clean.Ton's of potential for this hotel to be extremely good if someone invested in it. Its 1/3 of the that the Belfry was and a 1/4 of the Lee Marston - so if you're happy to get what you pay for this would be ok.

Electric shower in room was abysmal.Breakfast not the best

Very run down hotel, windows rotten, no lighting on the court yard near entrance to rooms where there were several trip hazards. Grubby furniture in the room and stained.Will definitely not be staying here again.

The staff were friendly. It was in a lovely location with nature. Lovely dog walks. Staff were fussing my dog which was lovely.

The room was spacious first the price and good price with breakfast.

The room was cold. The hot tap in the bathroom constantly dripped. When it was turned on, it was extremely hot, which could burn you. The shower also . The table seat was dirty and stained and lumpy, and the carpet was stained also. We were on the bottom floor, and the window did not close properly. Breakfast was cold.

Finding a dirty pair of a previous guests knickers on the shelf above the clothes hanging area, generally dirty including breakfast crockery, footprint on pillow case, hair on cutlery, filthy plug hole in bathroom basin.
