    • Ideally located for our short break. City Centre hotel really close to all the local shops, bars and restaurants. The room was really warm, the bed nice and comfortable and the bathroom very suitable. Although the restaurant wasn’t open for evening meal, this did not matter to us, as there are many restaurants available in close proximity. The Christmas market had just started and the nearby food hall had an excellent variety of choice of meals. Breakfast was lovely- a good choice and all the staff were helpful- the reception staff and cafe/restaurant staff for breakfast. Thanks for a lovely stay

    Cons -

    • Condition of propertyOverbearing waitress in sub-standard breakfast room
    • The window was broken and open, had a screen over it. Pigeons nesting outside it and could hear this .Room was far too hot with no way of turning it down . TV was limited
    • Bit dated. Could do with having more hot drink choices. Don’t drink tear or coffee. Need to have hot chocolate available

    Location

Exposed wires in the bathroom, ripped headboard, no toiletries and sinks not draining.

Location in the centre of Chester, old building with character.

Could do with a deep clean and a bit of an update.

Reasonable accomodation. Room furnishings, carpet etc worn, excellent location, slightly overpriced.

Room worn looking.Restaurant only open at weekends. Television reception was flaky. Sometimes unusable.

Blossoms is in a great location for Chesters attractions. Close to some great shops, restaurants and bars.Room was mostly clean, bar some massive cobwebs in lights and windows (raised with reception).Bed was comfy, there was a small collection of toiletries, there was an iron and hairdryer available.

Our room was (210) very warm, with windows that only opened slightly. We asked for a fan as the fan heater in our room was insufficient to use as a fan. We did not get a fan, which made for a really uncomfortable night's sleep. I left the hotel extremely tired, and there was no reception staff on duty on check out, so I was unable to inform them. The room is advertised as an executive suite, however the room appeared to be an adapted family room, it had no special extras that one would expect from a suite. The bed was a standard double and most suites have larger beds.Bathroom had a missing bottle of shower gel, but was there was another in a holder with a tiny bit in it, so sufficient for one night. Limited tea/coffee/milk in room. There was no server in the bar, and the reception had to go between the bar and reception. Perhaps this big hotel, is understaffed?

Breakfast, quality could have been better, no eggs then overcooked fried eggs

    7PeterPosted on: 10-30-2025

Central location. Friendly staff. Comfortable beds.

Though there was a radiator in our room it was not working and the room was cold. The breakfast was only average, and there was no butter for toast. The coffee was weak and tasteless.

Lovely welcoming staff, prompt clear check in, attentive to any queries we had & accommodated us leaving our luggage safely on departure whilst we went into town.Great central location to access all amenities/ shops/ bars.Tea/ coffee making facilities well stocked in the room.

The state of the bathroom was very poor, not only extremely dated but visible cracks & chipped tiles on the adjoining toilet unit, sink taps were broken & lose making it difficult to use, broken blind & safety chain, mould around the bathroom / ceiling & also in the wardrobe. The bedroom itself was acceptable, the bathroom was in my opinion a huge negative during this stay ( we have stayed before & although previous rooms were tired the bathroom had not been so bad as room 204 )

Love the location which is Central to our needs .Very quiet place considering it is situated in a very busy area .Good night sleep after a busy day Without taking anything from our hotels ,this is our fave ,and second time round ,liked it even more . Very happy staff ,being greeting by a smile on your first day sure makes your stay more enjoyable .Definitely be coming back on our next visit ?

The location in the city centre was ideal and the room was exactly what we needed.

The accessibility for a family with young children. We had a double pram and multiple bags for our two young children. There was no access into the hotel other than a set of stairs. The lift to our floor was too small to be able to fit the pram in so I had to keep carrying it to the second floor. The first night the man behind the counter helped carry it up but the second night two men at reception watched as I struggled to carry the double pram and all its contents (no children) up the stairs by myself. As everything fell out they didn't even look up from their mobile phones. Also the air conditioning was leaking onto the sofa underneath completely soaking it.
