Location
Spa was ridiculously busy. We didn’t realise it was connected to a gym. Spa waiting room was empty but when we entered the main pool area we turned around and walked out. Music booming from the gym aerobic areas. Not relaxing. Also one of the spa receptionists was snappy. The rest were lovely though.
We loved the location . The facilities were great too. It was super clean and the staff were very attentive
The house keeping I felt was a little poor . They forgot to leave clean face towels after day 1 and we were there 4 nights . Also they forgot to leave coffee on two of the days . The quilts on the bed are too thin and didn’t feel warm enough . The room although you can turn up the heating still didn’t feel warm enough . Also we used the spa which we paid extra for but they didn’t supply footwear and we had to walk down stairs where everyone uses the gym so we didn’t tell like the floor would have been clean and we didn’t take any flip flops of our own . If that had been said we could have done this . Maybe they need to supply slippers for example ? . The breakfast wasn’t too great to be fair . It was all over cooked .
Room was clean and facilities were as expected.Never had a bad nights sleep in any Hilton Hotel bed across the world. The food at dinner and breakfast was well prepared and generously proportioned.I am fastidious regarding my car and, after checking the site on Google maps, was happy parking in the larger spaces overnight.
There was a stair access opposite our room and users left the door to bang shut, which was annoying. I suggest someone looks at this and either adjusts or replaces the door closer. The WC was rather low and, as a result my wife suffered a severe back pain episode. We never thought to ask if rooms with disabled WC provision were available (it just needs to be higher), but we will know for next time. Oh, and the cups on our breakfast table were spotted with dirt (I assume from the dishwasher), and replaced.
The staff were brilliant room was spacious clean and immaculate everything we needed in the room staff very attentive to any of our needs got a free welcome cookie bar plenty of choice loads of room in restaurant beds comfy quite close to the road but couldn't hear a thing
The price of the spa me and my partner only wanted a swim but 20 for 2 hours a bit steep
Fresh and modern, good breakfast.
We booked for the pool, my 8 year old son loves a swim. However despite booking.com showing that it was ok to swim, we were told on arrival that access to the pool was only for users of the spa at £20 per head, and no under 16s were allowed. We’d chosen this hotel for the pool having searched for this on booking.com. Very sad little boy!
Lovely location and setting
The bedrooms- large worksurface in the corner as a desk, felt like sleeping in an office, was not cosy or comfortable, bathroom also very small for the size of the room
Loved that you got warm cookies on arrival, such a personal touch that really lifts your mood on arrival. Very friendly staff throughout and a fantastic breakfast mostly. All the breakfast staff were lovely too. Very nice pool, spa and gym area.
Think on top of the room price an extra £20 per person to use the facilities that are there is a bit pricey. Maybe even if you got a £10 discount due to paying for a room and breakfast even without a spa treatment would be nice and better value for money. This isn't taking away from how good the facilities were. Bit far out from the centre if you are not driving. I personally wouldn't recommend the pancakes....they taste a little raw and the maple syrup is watery.
Room was of good standard and clean. The only problem was the drain in bathroom sink was blocked.
Restaurant food was overpriced and not very good. Breakfast was also overpriced.
Looks gorgeous on arrival. Very helpful staff.
Paid extra for a garden view but most of our view was still a wall. The restaurant is a bit blandly decorated. Not enough lounge seats in the spa, we had nowhere to sit. Breakfast options aren't as good as some other Hilton hotels. Pillows too soft, I like a firmer style, some hotels give you a choice.
The facilities and the cleanness
For people who don’t drive it’s in a remote area to access city side
Lovely room ,clean and spacious
We paid extra for robes which were stiff and extra for a garden view and had a view of the car park ,disappointed
Clean and comfortable, warm cookie on arrivalIs a nice touch
Our weekend was ruined ! We came to spend time with our granddaughter, they came from Norwich. To find children are discriminated from using the pool. That was the very reason we booked this hotel. When dealing with a member of staff on the deck at the spa/ poor .. I found her soo rude/ unpleasant. To find my granddaughter wasn’t allowed in , I asked could I use it , she told me to come back at 8 am to see if there was a slot .. she behaved as if she was god .My daughter felt unwell and didn’t want breakfast, which i paid extra for on arrival… I asked the next day did the hotel refund this as only 2 of us from room 18 had breakfast.. which would have been noted . No we were told .. find this disgusting. All of which our stay was a waste of a journey for my family.
1 hour slots for children to use the swing pool . And an extra charge for using it as a hotel guest is absolutely shocking.
The spa was nice, room was nice
Didn't like the room next to the lift on the floor because it was so noisy, and staff in the morning was banging and chatting outside the rooms at 9am! There was constant noise from the lift and banging
Spa, evening meal. Location.
Being charged £40 for 2 hrs to use the pool It used to be free when you booked your stay.
I travel quite a bit to the area for work and always choose to stay here. The value for money is brilliant and location great - easy access from the motorway. The rooms are nicely furnished and comfortable. Massive beds! The restaurant is lovely and the food has always been brilliant - extra shout out to the kitchen who found me some custard for my crumble! Literally the highlight of my day! Thank you thank you! Always happy to help and go above and beyond.A busy hotel but always find parking no problem.Breakfast is good. Always look forward to the warm cookie on arrival! This time i had a room by the lifts which I’m always nervous will be noisy but actually was still pretty quiet - only two random loud noises in the night which I’m not sure if they were the lifts, pipes…?! But only lasted 10 seconds or so, so wasnt really bothersome. Didn’t hear the lifts otherwise and no banging doors like other places!
I would like to visit the pool area but paying extra for it just puts me off. Don’t get me wrong, if you’re here for the spa then fair enough I’m glad they prioritise you but it could be a real perk for the Hotel of they allowed guests to use it too! Impossible to contact anyone from the in room phone - either just rings out or beeps like it can’t connect. Tried to order room service but had to go to the bar to order which sort of defeats the point but a very minor problem really!
It was lovely and clean. The room was acceptable with a comfortable bed.
During my pedicure my foot was cut which made me unable to use the facilities I had paid for. Our car was also unplugged whilst it was charging in the car park.
