Pros +
- Location and service! Rooms have enough space for a family!
- Good location
- Good location, had to request a change of room on arrival, the one we were given had the tiniest double bed for 2, and the room was tiny too. However the receptionist (lady) was just superb and went out of her way to help, showed me a couple of rooms and we were able to relocate to a larger room, for a small additional charge.
Cons -
- We asked in advance for connected rooms which had availability and they didn’t hold it for us. Family of 4. Our rooms were then by a major door for access that went loud all night. Terrible to sleep.
- Had dinner in the bar the night we stayed, it was really only ok, nothing exciting !
- Bathroom door didn't shut properly, binding on floor covering. A bit noisy with revellers (returning from Liverpool?) late night/early hours. Were offered upgrade on arrival - maybe regret not taking it!

Room was cosy, comfortable bed and overlooking the station forecourt. Nice garden for a stroll round. Close enough to the town centre - 10 mins walk. Didn't eat in the hotel restaurant in the evening but good breakfast options.
Bathroom door didn't shut properly, binding on floor covering. A bit noisy with revellers (returning from Liverpool?) late night/early hours. Were offered upgrade on arrival - maybe regret not taking it!
Beautiful Victorian splendour. Statues and historic information everywhere.
Quite a walk to The historic parts of Chester. Coffee machine but hotel had Tim out of coffee pods.
The room had a bath
I booked a twin room for me and my son!! However we were given a huge double bedl!!We didn't complain because we liked the room.
Excellent location right across from the railway station. The hotel was lovely, quite quirky! We had a twin room and it was such a reasonable price. The room was large, clean, comfortable and just perfect. The staff were absolutely lovely too. I would definitely stay here again.
Our stay at the Queen Hotel in Chester was very pleasing. The staff were very helpful and the amenities and facities were excellent. We will certainly stay here again.
Location. Bar area.
Noisy door closures, the hospitality tray in the room was very basic. No decaf tea. Deluxe room ? Don’t know what was deluxe about it. Water was not very hot.
Room clean staff genial helpful
Room dead small bed small uncomfy couldnt swing a newt around
Great location, close to city. Rooms were stunning. Hotel is amazing. Security guard had a great sense of humour - fantastic bloke! Staff very friendly and accommodating.
Great Junior Suite.Staff really helpful and accommodated a last minute change on a very busy night.
Parking was a little limited but otherwise no fault at all.
Lovely building in a very convenient location.
...a long walk to our room but the walk was through nicely decorated areas!
Staff were excellentWe arrived early and room was not ready so left bag with staff until returning and same following check out Would stay again
No plug sockets by beds to charge phones and keep them close Room had connecting door to room next door which we were not comfortable with
breakfast was very good with plenty of choice. bed was one of the most comfortable ever stayed in.
towel rail not working and was not made aware that we would not be in the original hotel but in the kings annexe
Very spacious room, well stocked fridge, perfect temperature and easy to change the temperature. The bathroom was lovely
There was a sticker on the side of the bath from something that was clearly put there by previous occupants and so made me question the cleanliness. As the receptionist tried to make me pay when I had already paid. Luckily I had the app to hand to prove I had already paid
The heat in the bathroom and lounge area was not sufficient and found it to be very cold. The heaters are not sized correctly according to the room sizes and heat loss of the property.
The coldness or the lounge and bathroom
Staff. Location. Room.
Some small things: no pods for the coffee machine. No real milk (no fridge). Nothing available to collect ice in.Some breakfast items kept warm too long.
It was a lovely place and comfy bed
We found blood on all 4 cushions on the bed, fresh ones were provided but left the whole stay feeling a bit dirty especially after paying for an executive room this shouldn’t have happened
Great location to explore Chester
Limited twin room availability. So many noises in our room. Freaked my daughter out.
