- The food was good in the restaurant, decent quality, nothing too extravagant. The room was comfortable and spacious. Was really quiet with very little outside noise, even with the window open.

Cons -
- The heater on the wall in the room was noisy if switched on - but heated up the room fairly quickly so didn't need it on for long. The shower was a little hit and miss in terms of temperature, took a while to find the sweet spot (not too hot or cold).
- Only complaints was the price of the breakfast. Very expensive for what you get.

Waste of money
The room was like stepping back to the 1970's. The coffee machine didn't work, the lead for the kettle was short so we had to balance it right on the edge of the desk, which was very dangerous. Considering the price of the room, there were barely any tea/coffee making supplies. Everywhere you looked it was worn out and tired. Just a big disappointment, the moment we walked in the room. As for the dinner, My wife ordered Ribeye and I ordered Sirloin and they both tasted like the grill, overpowered with the taste of grill. You couldn't taste the meat and it became sickly, the pepper corn sauce my wife got was gravy with ground black pepper in it (a lot) so that was inedible. My wife had to complain because it was not fit to eat and to top that, the drinks came after the meal and that was only because we complained. When you're paying a lot of money £39 for a steak you expect to taste the meat, not the things we were served. It was the worst meal we've ever had out. The breakfast was just as bad as the dinner, again the money we pay for a decent breakfast is that hard and yet, we could have gotten better from a road side cafe. In fact we spoke to some couples and they did exactly that, with dinner and breakfast. We went to the ASDA to get food after the dinner disaster and a cafe after breakfast, because the we couldn't eat the food, it was awful. All in all it was a terrible experience and would not in a million years recommend this place. Needs updating and people who can cook food. So disappointed.
Spacious room, room service, pool, staff
Breakfast was great. Staff, especially Hannah, was amazing and helpful. Good value for money. I wish I had time to use spa and swimming pool.
Staff were very friendly
Carpet in bedroom covered in stains, ripped curtains and bedding. We stayed in a delux room, but don’t feel the room lived up to expectations. Also very shocked to see breakfast staff not cleaning tables thoroughly after each sitting. Cutlery unused by a guest eg a spoon, left on the table and just the missing items added to the table. Just because the item was on the table doesn’t mean it hadn’t been used or touched. Never been anywhere that never cleared the table completely and gave all fresh for the next guest. Had we not already paid for breakfast I would not have had breakfast again after the first day
Good l9cation
Coffee shop by pool not open until 11.00
Plenty of free parking, good check in friendly staff, nice bar area if a little pricey. Good food quality but again a little on the expensive side. Very good Gym, fitness suite and pool area.
Room was adjacent to path near car park and could be noisy with smokers stood outside near the little foot bridge but apart from that wasnt too bad.
The spa/thermal facilities are decent.
The food was terrible (inedible soup, braised beef looked like it had been dropped out of a tin can and the taste and texture left a lot to be desired. The waiter reached over and touched my food with his bare hands to remove a foreign object. Had to remind them several times that we had pre-booked dinner and breakfast and despite swiping out card on arrival they said we were unable to charge wine and extra food cost to room as there was no record of our card. The room was well below par for the cost. Not the Valentines experience they boasted on their social media and website. Would not go back.

very small room hard bed nice bathroom
Breakfast very good - staff welcoming helpful.
Spa treatment was substandard a deluxe manicure at £65.00 was not much more than a nail polish very disappointed, pool area very tired looking and old. Leisure facilities separate building raining and cold going to and fro.
Swimming pool and health suite facilities. Food & drink.
The hotel is in a quiet rural location but easy to find and easy to access. The staff are friendly and helpful. The restaurant is pretty good - breakfast is a particular highlight. There is a pool, a spa and a nice fitness center. There is plenty of parking. I have stayed there several times over the last 15 years or so and have never been disappointed.
The rooms are in need of some refurbishment. They are clean and perfectly adequate but there are not enough power outlets for modern travel requirements. Bathrooms particularlty need work. Ours featuried a very loud extractor fan, an over the bath shower with the usual leaky shower screen (hoteliers - please get rid of baths in most rooms and replace with shower cubicles), a heated towel rail that never got hot, and a control for the tv speaker volume (?). I know times are tough but this hotel could be really fantastic with a bit of investment.
Breakfast excellent plenty of choice and evening meal was good.
The conservatory was cold having our evening meal.
I liked the staff , very pleasant and helpful
Hairs in sink or on bed and pillows.
Quiet. Comfy. Spa a nice touch
Restaurant poor. Staff obviously knew and inexperienced Long wait. Starter tikka was very dry and overdone. Food only average. Had a burger last week that wasn’t great either. Heard other customers complaining too. It’s letting you down.
Location
Car park at capacity (eventually got a space) stop serving food at 20:45 arrived at 21:00 after being on the road for 10 hours, no 24 hour menu like basic Travelodge. Had to order takeaway ( lady’s on desk helpful) waited circa 5 minutes for breakfast service, sat myself down with another couple. Eventually got served although not what I asked for also no toast mentioned or offered either. Also chef made potato option was frozen hash browns.Room basic & bland with a space from a missing picture. TV very much outdated not even useful guide function, desk mounted not wall ( only see if move chair) can’t stream or link to device. Decor also a little dated. Staff however were all very friendly the lad behind the bar and reception staff were very polite and professional. Better value and standard at premier inn
Convenient Location
Need refurbishing - the arm of the sofa in our room was broken. The shower screen did not keep the water in and floor was wet and slippery.
Lovely and friendly staff. Great that you can use spa/pool on your stay, the pool itself was clean just the whole area needs updating . The saunas and steam rooms also nice.
The pool is very outdated and mould on the walls..our room was clean but there were hairs in the sink as-well as hair under our duvet… and again mould on the wall in our bedroom.
