Hotel Monopol - Central Station

Check in was very quick. Rooms were very good with complimentary l'occitaine toiletries. Breakfast was good and the free minibar a welcome bonus. All members of the travelling party of 7 were impressed.

Bathrooms - were not a 4 star property wash rooms , very old faucets, very old yellow cracky grouting, a peculiar sweet smell in the hotel

Nothing to share as all are really fantastic.May be Frankfurt weather was bit difficult to tolerate for as Indian origin -7 Degree C. Souvenir Shop would've been a goo addition.

Housekeeping staff may have been more responsive bout the front desk staff are very prompt.

The room is not properly cleaned by the staff. The bathroom trash is not emptied. The used coffee cups are not washed—if there are two cups, only one is washed. on a different day, in a different situation. Six nights we stayed, but during this time not even one time the empty the bathroom bin.

Their reception staff and seating area were both good.

Excellent value and prime location right next to train station. Staff also very helpful - I arrived at 12 noon and they let me check in early. Breakfast was great - scrambled eggs were perfectly creamy.

Clean and very quiet room. Comfortable beds. Very close to transportation. Very helpful staff. Good dinner at the restaurant in the hotel.

The tub was shallow and the fixtures a bit old and discolored. I couldn't fill up the tub easily.

Very pleasant staff, welcome drink on arrival was greatly appreciated. Room was comfortable. Good WiFi. Breakfast was great. Great location as we were travelling by train to Munich the following day so only had to walk over the road to catch the train.

Tiny rooms and the hotel seems to have a problem with central heating. It was definitely too cold. -5°c outside and the heating was like warm. You’ll wake up in the morning in a room that feels uncomfortably cold. Even the staff wears winter jackets inside.

We arrived early in the morning after an overnight flight. While our room, of course, was not available, the staff held our luggage in a storeroom for us. Instead of the hotel breakfast (at a cost as we were not guests yet) we opted to go across the street to the train station with many food vendors. Hotel is centrally located and a particularly good value for a historic boutique hotel. Walking distance to Christmas markets and shopping. The hotel lobby was large and vintage making it nice to sit and enjoy a complementary glass of prosecco.

The historic bathtub in our room was quite narrow so it made it difficult to stand and use the shower but not a deal breaker. But plenty of hot water. Not sure how the room temperature would be in the summer but it was fine for us in December.

It was very close to the train station (less than 5 min walk), and the staff were very friendly! All expected things were in the hotel, and we had enough space for the four of us. Staff reacted quickly when we had concerns/issues about our room. The soap smelled amazing!

Shower pressure was very low, so I washed my hair in the sink. The bunk beds also creaked a lot whenever there was movement on either level.

Room was comfortable and clean. I left very early, so did not get breakfast. But the lobby always has tea, coffee and snacks.

Location, very friendly staff and their service。 Most of all, breakfast was excellent in quality, freshness and variety. On arrival, you can have a glass of Champaigne! The hotel prepares snack table all day long with coffee, tea, fruits and sweets. Not many hotels do that. It is really a thoughtful extra service, especially when guests arrive with fatigue and hungry belly.

Fantastisc location and good value. Nice and spacious bathrooms with nice soap etc.

The rooms are simple. My first one smelled of mould, so I had to change it. However, over all an OK experience.

Very comfortable beds, big room, and great location!

Was near a busy street so lots of noise at night. There was parking but VERY small spots in an underground garage and had to maneuver in a very small space.
