    Pros +

    • Staff were nice
    • The Plaza Hotel is in a convenient location in the eastern part of Frankfurt not far from the Hanauer Landstraße, a major east-west thoroughfare leading into downtown. There are a number of good restaurants and cafes nearby and it‘s only about a five minute walk to the Ostend metro station. The hotel is quiet and comfortable and the staff are always polite and friendly!
    • All clean and staff was very nice

    Cons -

    • The fire alarm went off in the early morning waking us up to evacuate the hotel which I had seen happens to other guests on multiple occasions. I didn’t like how the room keys were physical keys, it felt very out dated and unsafe as a solo traveller. The room itself was extremely outdated and unclean. There was also no phone in the hotel room to connect with reception if needed. Will 100% not be returning
    • There‘s some construction nearby, but every construction project ends at some point. It was only a very minor inconvenience.
    • Little bit old-fashioned

The hotel room was bigger than I expected as seen from the pictures. I also requested for late check out and they were able to offer it to me for free, and the Indian restaurant located at the ground floor of the hotel had really good food :)

The wifi was a bit unstable sometimes, but it was not a very big deal

Located in Frankfurt-Ostend near the Hanauer Landstrasse, the Plaza Hotel is a great choice offering really good price-value. There are a number of dining options nearby and the subway/metro stop is an easy 7-8 minute walk from the hotel.

There‘s no breakfast offered at the hotel, but they do have a voucher program with a local cafe that works well. The hotel isn‘t downtown, but it‘s a short walk to the metro and downtown is only 2-3 stops away.

Transparency and a sense of security should be basic expectations for any guest.

Important information guests should know before booking:I stayed at the Plaza Hotel & Living Frankfurt last week and booked three rooms for three nights. The price was high due to a trade fair, but similar to other hotels. The area is fine and the rooms are acceptable. What I find unacceptable is the lack of transparency. If the hotel has an agreement with the City of Frankfurt to accommodate immigrants or refugees, this should be clearly stated before booking so guests can make an informed decision. One of the ladies traveling with us felt unsafe upon entering the hotel, as several residents were spending the day in the lobby and at the entrance smoking and drinking coffee. Transparency and a sense of safety should be basic expectations for any guest.

    Location only

Not enough information given in regards of room service when arrived our room was not touched for 3 nights stay they were lucky we were only using it for sleep. Room very dark hardly any light and when we asked staff he said all rooms are like this which was not true as we could see the place for the main light was broken The equipment provided was very old so was the dishes and when asked for glasses staff had to come upstairs to believe …. In general not recommended not worth the money . Very bad experience Not to forget the toilets and the shower area smelled so bad too due to lack of clean I believe !

The room had high ceilings, a balcony and was spacious and comfortable. The kitchenette was useful.

Both guest elevators were not working and the only way we found to communicate with reception was to walk down 6 flights of steps. The staff elevator was a poor alternative but essential. The kitchenette lacked any cups (they were provided on request) and there was only one fork.

While not centrally located, the hotel is right on the Hanauer Landstrasse, a major east-west thoroughfare in Frankfurt. The subway station is less than 10 minutes away and is a safe and easy walk. The hotel itself is modern and welcoming with friendly and helpful staff.

Sadly, breakfast is not included in the (reasonable) price, but the hotel sells vouchers for a nearby cafe.

Nice people working - essential stay ok

Smelly all over - smoking bunch at the entrance

Room was very spacious, staff were very friendly, the rooftop was lovely for relaxing at night time.

The room could have had a better fan in was extremely hot at times. Kitchenette needs updating a little, more utensils needed.

The hotel is in a slightly more remote part of Frankfurt in terms of nightlife, but there is a train station within walking distance. The rooms are spacious and they feature something I have never seen in a hotel: doorbells!

Nothing negative stood out to me.

    5MdPosted on: 8-13-2025

Rooms were decent, had good equipments with a kitchen, refridgerator closet etc. It has a restaurant downstairs which makes it very easy to get food if you arrive late.

We did not like the neighbourhood, it seemed like a shady place. Hairdryer was faulty. Windows looked old and kind of moldy. It's okay for a cheap one night stand, but nothing more.

It was convenient to move around Frankfurt as needed. Clean & comfortable rooms.

No one checked on the rooms to see when we needed new towels or take out the trash.

    5HamdaPosted on: 7-17-2025

Staff were very friendly and helpful, my room's balcony door wouldn't lock, and I was moved to a different room right away

Weird smell in the room, seemed to come from the bathroom fan? I was on the top floor and could only access the WiFi when in the bathroom and I had no signal. Also, the elevator didn't work for a day but we were allowed access to the staff elevator.

    8SusanPosted on: 7-8-2025

Facilities were as described, any issues were sorted straight away

Arm chair, was very uncomfortable and only 1 in the room, could have done with being 2

    6Sally-annPosted on: 7-4-2025

Staff were happy to provide an extra fan as it was very hot.

The kitchenette was very small with no bench space, the room was not air-conditioned. The window covering didn't block out the evening light. Rooms were not served ( that's fine) but no instructions as what to do with food packaging. The room only had one chair to go with the table
