It’s a very lovely place

When we arrived we can’t contact the person who working here, luckily we met a very nice guy to help us and borrow his phone to call

By mistake I booked from Goethe but actually I wanted to book from Welle. The staff helped me facilitate with quick solution it was very nice of him to take care.

First floor room was really smaller compared to the room I stayed last time. If I come to Welle again I would really want to avoid staying in that room because last stay was delightful with a open and semi-closed terrace. Room was bigger and kitchen was much better.

Clean apartment in excellent location.

Zero communication. Messages and emails went unanswered. As a.result check-in was difficult. For a place with 24-hour reception (was no one there when we arrived) the communication and check-in process is just terrible.

The location is nice and the rooms are clean and decently equipped. But that's where the positives end with this hotel.

There's absolutely no one on-site to help with any issues that may arise with your room. The "Free wifi" didn't work for the entirety of the stay. It was intermittent and would connect for 20-30 seconds before dropping out. Despite multiple phone calls to their customer service and them promising "We'll send someone to check and call you back" not a single person came to check or called back throughout the 2 days. The customer service is absolutely clueless and has no technicians on hand to assist with problems. The booking was for a tourist who needed Internet for their their work and had to resort to other methods which makes no sense considering the prices charged. They don't respond to messages on Booking.com either once they have your money. Save yourself the hassle, and look for a place with actual humans on site to help when problems arise. Absolutely pathetic service.

The location is superb, right in the middle of the best part of Frankfurt. We parked the car nearby, after unloading our bags at the hotel, thanks to the kindness of the housekeeping staff from Polska. (Thank you ladies!) We walked everywhere from then on, until we drove away reluctantly from this beautiful city. The proximity to the Christmas markets, posh stores, and excellent bakeries, coffee, and restaurants are why you should also book this property. Room was spotless, bed was comfy, shower was good, the kitchen is very handy, and two TVs (one in kitchen, one in bedroom). What's not to like? Read on.

Had I checked in online according to the process that they emailed to me, we would not have had a wait to get in. So, do what they tell you, and check in according to their process. Even so, I wish there was a phone or some means to immediately resolve such a glitch. The housekeeping staff (mother/daughter) saved the day for us by calling the boss man, and ta-da, we got the key from the automated lock box. The only other inconvenience was the adjacent little room for beverages (which can only be accessed by the key you get). We went inside, and the coffee machine was not working. This was about 4p. However, it was working the next morning, so we had a latte and an americano, and enjoyed them. Thanks!! Danke Schoen.

Location is fantastic. Check in instructions were very clear and easy to follow.

Need to provide instructions on how to use the microwave. I literally pushed every single button and could not figure out how to use it. Also, the key needs to be attached to a fob. The little chip was to easy to lose.

Very large space and very clean

Check-in process was not explained at all. No one at reception on the weekend. VERY loud at night. We could hear the street noise and people out at the market all night long. Very disruptive if you are trying to get any type of sleep. On a sat night it was loud until about 0330-0400.

This location is so amazingly central to the Christmas markets. We love how modern and clean the apartment was.

You cannot at all communicate with the staff, no one answers on time and this is stressful.

Location is very central to dining, shopping and entertainment zone

This is an unstaffed property and communication about how to gain access was poor. Doorman is an oxymoron as there is no one there to greet you. The email communication was unclear and it took nearly an hour with several phone calls before we received to code to gain access, all the while forced to remain on the street with our luggage. The wi-fi in the room refused to connect as well.

Location, convenience, cleanliness, beds

The communication with staff was absolutely terrible. Didn’t answer to emails, texts and Booking messenger. We didn’t got the cods and key when we arrived after 15:00. Awful!

Didn't get access to the unit.

We waited all afternoon to get access. We received an invitation to check in with Mobile Access, subscribed to the app, and then never received a "key".We reached out several times thru booking.com and heard nothing. Message property - "Send a message". This method of communication with a host has always worked but after the note to check in with Mobile Access - it went quiet.Very disappointing.We managed to book into a nearby hotel for the one night.

Clean, conveniently located, comfortable, quiet.

Tried to message the manager twice over two days, finally reached them by phone the third day. Quicker reply would have been helpful.

Excellent central location, very clean facilities and room, suite was very spacious and well equiped, very quiet, easy to find and access.

Only call out was the missing coffee (and morning pastries) in the lobby. Lobby was accessible with access to the coffee machine but usually it was unplugged and took a while to get it going. Not a huge deal but more difficult than it needs to be. Although the suite has a kitchen and is well equiped with an oven, microwave, dishwasher and induction stove, pots and pans are very limited. E.g. there was no frying pan so I ended boiling eggs for protein.

Location is good but noisy.

According to Wikipedia a doorman is a person, often in uniform, who stands at the entrance of a building like a hotel or apartment complex to provide security, courtesy, and assistance to guests and residents. NOTHING CLOSE TO THESE FEATURES YOU WILL FIND IN THIS PLACE.The problem with this place is a complete lack of accountability from the people in charge. If you didn’t receive the email with your room and code, not their problem. If your apartment is flooded, not their problem. These aren’t hypothetical cases, it is part of our experience at The Doorman.My recommendation is to wait at least a year (Aug 2026) to book until they figure out how to run the place. Of course I don’t mean an actual doorman, just the minimum of service to be supported when a problem happens.

Central location that was easy to reach by train.

There are 2 entrances on opposite sides of the building depending on which room you get, but only one entrance has the lock box.
