We booked this for two adults and three kids, but we were only provided four pillows for the room. When we asked the front desk for another pillow and an extra bedding to utilize the futon, they said they didn¿t have any of either. Frustrating!

Location in vicinity of Brussels Midi, helpful staff.

For the price of the room, one would expect a small refirgerator and/or a safe, neither of which was present in the room. Because of works on the Brussels metro, the hotel is temporarily located behind een steel wall, giving only access to the sidewalk.

No A/C and no air flow from window made it tough to be comfortable.

Im trying to change the dates of my schedule and I saw there is an option but when I change it with just half an hour from my booking it says not possible or it's won't work.. then I waste 1 night of supposed to be my stay.. id tried to call and they answered just to tell me that they cant change it and they just gave me another option if I wanted to stay 1 more night I need to add almost 100 euro ..its so disappointing..

After observing the cleanliness and state of the room, I wouldn't risk the food.

Beaten up hotel/rooms. The room had an odor and was falling apart. Everything felt dirty. There was literally a mound of rubbish outside the front of the hotel.

Location, looks, comfort, noise.

I had booked a room for three nights, but through the booking I couldn't see exactly how the room I choose was like. So when I went there, they told me that the bedroom is small for me (I use a wheelchair). But they told me that they will change it, so they gave me a bedroom that was actually good to use for the without problem of space. I was to highlight that the receptionist way really kind to me. I had forgotten my cellphone charger back home, and he gave me his charger during the four days stay, which I truly appreciate.

The only thing that I may not have liked, was the construction of the street right outside the entrance of the hotel, but this is not connected to the hotel. Except this, the location was good, you could go to the center of the city in around 10 minutes.

The hotel was in a good place and there were two train stations nearby which made commute quite easy.

Our bathroom didn't have a shower head holder which made showering quite uncomfortable and I am not sure whether all rooms are designed like that. Also, we had booked a family room for three and there was only one chair/seat available in the room, we requested for at least an additional seat without success and the staff were not helpful nor shown any empathy

Dear Booking.com Customer Service,I am writing regarding my reservation at Hotel de France, made through your platform under Booking Number 6802831442, for a 2-night stay from July 11 to July 13, 2025.Unfortunately, I was forced to check out early—on July 11, the first day of my stay—due to serious safety concerns and unacceptable room conditions. Below are the key issues we encountered:The hotel surroundings felt unsafe, with visible suspicious activity and frequent loud disturbances.Inside the property, the environment was unsettling, noisy, and uncomfortable.The floors creaked excessively, adding to the discomfort and lack of rest.The room was extremely hot and poorly ventilated. The small fan provided was entirely inadequate given the weather.The telephone in the room was not working, so there was no way to contact reception.Wi-Fi access was not provided, despite being listed as an included amenity.Due to these issues, we felt unsafe, misled, and uncomfortable, and made the decision to leave the property and secure alternative accommodation. As such, I am requesting a full refund for both nights, as the stay did not meet the basic standards of safety or comfort.Please confirm receipt of this complaint and provide an update regarding the refund process as soon as possible. Staff is very nice and polite. Everything is clean, room is very big. The location is really nice. They gave us iron. There was a hairdryer in the bathroom. Everything is very comfortable.

Just there is no fridge.

Shower looks weird. Only shower curtain to cover you and all the water comes out and leaking from the shower.

Good access to the older parts of the city.

No road access, no internet, the room was small and not the most comfortable on this trip
