Spacious room with many modern touches. The bar/restaurant on site was great and the convenience store had a good selection. As a solo traveler, I didnt use the games like pool and foosball but they were also a nice touch. The airport shuttle was easy
Check in and out was easy.

I was robbed transferring through Brussels to Amsterdam and lost all my credit cards and identification. They were kind, understanding, and even went so far as to help print documents I would need to take to the US embassy to get a replacement passport.
It is a very nice clean hotel on the inside
It is located 1 block away from the metro station and two metro stops from Midi train station. The staff was incredibly helpful and they all spoke english. Walking distance from Louise shopping area and easy access to the main attractions.

Location and the breakfast
All in all, holiday inn express Brussels Grand Place is a good 3 Stars choice for the right price. Our room was reasonably sized and comfortable. breakfast was basic but fresh and well handled by the staff . Walking distance to Christmas markets.

Everything about the hotel was excellent. The lobby was beautiful, fresh and clean just as the halls and room was. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom had an oversized tub.The location was excellent also.
Nice hotel, very clean. Location is perfect across the street from Central Station.
Friendly and efficient staff at reception; WIFI works well; safe in room; although room was a bit worn, still better than most where I have stayed in the area; large bathroom, comfortable bed

The best thing about this hotel was it's location.
Very close to the main train station which is great for travelling around Europe. Also a 15 min walk from the main downtown area. They also let me check in about 4 hours earlier, just needed to call first.

The hotel was very central and walkable to almost everywhere. The metro was right outside the door which was convenient.
Alarms from commercial business neighbors kept us up all night! Terrible experience which management could not address. Ruined the stay.
Amazing contemporary hotel. Very clean. Location is great ¿¿

This hotel exceeded every expectation! I can't say enough about the kindness of the staff. They called a restaurant for me in order to help me get a last minute table, gave me directions, sightseeing advise, etc. It was a pleasure interacting with them.

I thought it was a Hotel, it was not!!! It was a Hostel, and I booked all 4 beds. I was very disappointed that there was no TV, or soap in the shower. The one positive, was the location. It might have not been what I was looking for, but a + location
The hotel staff in the morning was decent, but the night staff was incredibly rude and difficult to work with. The rooms were as expected, but due to Covid restrictions the room was serviced only twice during my eight night stay.

The decor was unusual but nice. The location of the hotel was very good
Nothing at all. I do not recommend. Staff is unprofessional, location isn¿t good, rooms are not nice, and you¿ll have strangers trying to get into your room in the middle of the night. Avoid at all costs.

Top Tips
- Rates at Brussels hotels can increase by 35-50% during major EU events such as summits. Book 4 to 6 weeks in advance to secure a room and avoid last-minute price surges. Check the official EU event calendar for dates.
- Mandatory charges add about 15.8% to your room rate in Brussels, covering VAT, city tax, and tourism fees. These charges are often excluded from initial prices on online travel agency sites, so review your booking breakdown before confirming.
- Explore hotels near Place Royale or Sablon to experience up to 70% fewer noise complaints compared to those within 200 meters of Gare du Nord, where overnight noise and public sleeping are more frequent. Check hotel proximity before you book.
- Rooms above the 3rd floor in city-center hotels, especially pre-1940 properties, offer a 10-15 dB reduction in nighttime street noise. When reserving, request a higher floor for quieter rest.
- Withdraw cash using ATMs branded BNP Paribas or ING to keep fees around €2-€3 (approx. $15). Euronet ATMs typically charge about €5 plus a 2.5% currency conversion markup. Look for clearly marked operator logos at hotel areas.
- Hotels with EU Ecolabel or Green Key certification, found in only 12% of Brussels properties, use about 35% less water per room night. Prioritize these for a more sustainable stay; certification details are listed in hotel information.
- If you need reliable Wi-Fi for remote work, 78% of 3-4 star hotels in Brussels offer speeds of 35-50 Mbps. Request a room near the IT closet to get a 15-20% speed boost; ask at check-in about availability.
- Hotel breakfasts average €22-€28 (approx. $15 to $15) per person daily. Discover local bakeries such as Maison Kayser or Le Comptoir du Relais for breakfast options around €4-€6 (approx. $15) just a short walk away.
- Step-free access can be limited, as 65% of central Brussels hotels built before 1940 lack full step-free room access and some lifts only serve lower floors. For accessible rooms, submit a written 'step-free to room' request before arrival.
- Save 4-7% per transaction by declining dynamic currency conversion (DCC) and paying in euros. 88% of Brussels hotel payment terminals offer DCC in non-local currencies; select the 'Pay in Euros' option at the terminal.
- Hotels near Louise or Porte de Namur report 30% fewer evening crime incidents compared to the Midi or Nord station areas after 22:00. When choosing neighborhoods, prioritize these corridors for added peace of mind.
- Tip housekeeping €2-€3 (approx. $15) each day instead of at checkout. 72% of staff say daily tipping leads to better room upkeep. Leave tips in an envelope labeled for housekeeping.
