Stanhope Hotel by Thon Hotels

The Stanhope staff is great on every level. Friendly and helpful. The building interior is beautiful, with dignified furnishing. The room was spacious and well laid out, with a nice bathroom. The outlets, television and lighting were well positioned.

They make every effort to exceed expectations.

The room was nicely decorated, the bed was large and of good quality. Location is perfect

Just minor details, such us the bathtub and shower equipment, which don't correspond to a 5 stars hotel

I liked that it was clean and most of the personnel were nice and helpful

The ventilation system did not work properly. I was cold the first 24 hours and when we sat it couldn’t be fixed it took very long to change rooms. Dyson was provided but without remote so I could not really accommodate myself! Second there was a conference and all the common spaces were really loud and full of people making it impossible to use them

Amazing room. Free upgrade as we arrived very late after a strike in the city

Gym a tad small for such a hotel

What a lovely concept, 1930s updated. Very quiet on the weekends, lovely staff. reasonable check in and out times

Breakfast is a little expensive but there is a nice breakfast restaraunt across the street.

Staff are all kind and nice, rooms are clean and tidy. Close to the tube station and a local supermarket.

If I may, room service menu selection can be expanded but taste was surely good!

the room was not properly cleaned, as in the bathroom (sink and shower) there were hairs of previous guests.

The room was lovely and ideal for two people. It was very clean and well maintained, with Molton Brown amenities, which was a great touch. The room was cleaned daily, with fresh towels and sheets changed every day.The location is excellent, within easy walking distance of both the bus stop and the metro station.Breakfast was great; we especially enjoyed the New Year’s breakfast with champagne.The staff were extremely helpful, polite, and very welcoming.

The most perfect stay I’ve ever had! From first walking into the hotel I was shocked with how beautiful it was! The hotel was super clean and perfect for any occasion stay. My partner was super happy they had a gym he could use! The location was perfect for walking into the downtown of Brussels, the hotel was so beautiful and posh, at first I felt like I walked into the Hamptons! Especially at Christmas time it was so lovely decorated! The staff was super friendly and willing to do anything for you! The room was absolutely perfect, best sleep I’ve ever had , the bed was so comfy and the bath was so relaxing to lay in! This was by far the most incredible hotel I have ever stayed in! I cannot wait to come back!

Nothing it was perfect!

Beautiful interior, friendly staff, heartwarming atmosphere and welcome every evening upon return. All the small touches such as fruit bowels to help yourself from, shoe valet, roaring fire in the library, etc

Very warm and welcoming atmosphere. On the first day we were accommodated in the rooms we had reserved, which were fantastics, with a view of the inner garden and very quiet, but which we had to change due to a technical problem. The staff responded in time and changed not only one room but both (since we were with the children to stay close to each other) and even increased the standard of the rooms. The breakfast was plentiful and full of calories to adapt to the low temperatures that were outside. So everything was perfect.

Average value for money

This is unlikely to be improved. We booked a triple room, and my bed was in the living room. There's a door in the living room, and on the other side of that door is another room, so the soundproofing is obviously terrible. The floorboards thump when you walk at night, so we can hear the upstairs neighbors walking on the floor in the middle of the night. Also, it's really far from the city center, although it's very close to the Royal Palace.

The hotel had a beautiful vintage vibe, and the staff were incredibly warm and welcoming

The only downside of the hotel stay was that the rooms felt quite small
