Safestay Brussels Grand Place

ABSOLUTELY DO NOT RECOMMEND. I AM ALMOST CERTAIN THIS PROPERTY IS WORKING WITH SCAMMERS. MY BOOKING WAS MADE ONLY THROUG

I have used Booking.com many times, but this is the first time scammers contacted me via email and WhatsApp, pretending to be the property. They sent a very convincing fake website and asked for passport and card details. My reservation and contact information were clearly leaked.I booked only through Booking.com and shared my details nowhere else. The situation was highly organized and raises serious concerns about data security. When I reported this to the property, their response was careless and dismissive.I do not recommend this place at all.

Except the location nothing is good for a family to stay

Staff and facilities. We requested for early check in during booking, which was accepted subject to availability. upon arrival, got to know that rooms are not cleaned yet and we can only enter after 3pm, which was still okay. But then we had one small carry on luggage bag and a backpack to store and the staff at the reception refused to keep the luggage even after our repetitive request. As I was with my elderly parents, it’s was worst experience overall as we had to walk the whole day with the luggages and the trip to Brussels which otherwise was a great experience overall, only got ruined because of un-safestay :)Not recommended for family at all.

Terrible front desk service! First room the door wouldn’t close. They change us to another room after 1 hour and the room we changed into, the next morning the ceiling broke and fell with a bunch of water onto our stuff. So we go tell the front desk and we couldn’t switch rooms until 6 hours later

Close to Downtown

No bathroom amenities. Not enough towels for guests. Steep stairs. Need to clean carpet.

The location was at the center but for such populous area, they had such thin walls and bad windows so I could hear whatever was happening in the streets the whole night like drunk people, police arresting someone and so many other noises. Drunk people also in the hallway and hitting my door that I was afraid and couldn’t sleep the night

The walls of the place and the ceiling was that much thin that I could here next room talking or even flushing the toilet. Not even a refrigerator that I can leave my stuff there, even for small things, like towel for a private room, there was nothing there so I had to go to the reception and ask so that they can provide it. So in total one of my worst stay that I had to change my hotel completely for my next day even though they didn’t refund my money for the rest of my stay.

I liked the location. It was close to the Grand Place and the Christmas markets. The taxis were close by including the buses.

Location! In the heart of the city.

Bunk beds are not stable enough and thin stick sized. The bunk beds creak constantly with every movement, even when you breathe. It is not comfortable for sleeping. I can't say the mattress quality is good. The beds generally sag towards the middle. The floor creaks from most of the places you step on. The sides of the beds are open, and the guard rails are very high. If you put something on the bed, it immediately falls off. The only positive thing I can mention is the location, and maybe it is budget friendly other than other hostels around closed to the city centers.

The location was wonderful. It was walking distance to the Grand Place and the Christmas markets. It was close to the grocery store and the Gallerie of St. Hubert. The staff were always willing to assist whenever I needed help. The receptionist I particular, always greeted me which made a positive impression. He made concessions to me because I was leaving early on my last day there.

The location is great ?? Bathroom was decent enough.

Booked a room with a bunk bed. There was not a single hanger for coats. A chair and tiny table would make a big difference.

The location is in a very accessible area to main attractions and transportation. The staff who checked me in and answered my questions was very helpful.

They assign beds in the dorm rooms, however not all the people in the room stay in the bed they are assigned which can be confusing. Because it is in a very accessible location, it can be loud at night.

The location is perfect.

The rooms are extremely small. There’s only one small drawer for personal use. As for the staff, one of my belongings was stolen — most likely by the cleaner while I was out and they were tidying the room. I asked about it at the reception; they tried to blame my neighbors, not knowing that we were all friends. Most likely after that, the cleaner went in and put my personal item back where it was.My advice: if you rent this hotel, request that no one enters your room and that they don’t clean it during your stay, so you can avoid problems and theft. They have probably stolen from others too — many guests just wouldn’t notice.

No facilities, no view in the room, just a small window in the ceiling. The floor wasn't clean and the shampoo bottle was empty. It was really disappointing, not recommended at all!

Prime location

The behaviour of one staff member, a bald guy who was on duty from morning till 3 PM. He was rude when i asked him to show me room first. Didn’t like his behaviour. He wasn’t polite.

The location was awesome, right in the downtown area — everything was nearby and very easy to access. The room was okay, not very big but clean and comfortable enough for a short stay. Overall, a nice place and great value for the location!

Very simple breakfast mainly sweet things no eggs or vegetables or fruits, you have to pay for your luggage storage after checkout , no towels or shampoo

Location is really good.

Rooms was quite small, there wasnt enough space for moving the luggage. They charge you for keeping your luggage until the checkin.
