    Cons -

    • They had a bar but said they don't sell drinks?? Only very cheap wine It was a bit strange. The lifts and room were VERY small it didn't bother us.
    • One of the nights we had no light in the room and no internet. They still charged the same price of course. Noises in the corridor would not stop the whole night, making it incredibly hard to fall asleep. That morning the alarm of the corridor also went off at 6am.
    • Noise, there were works that started early in he morning and went on until the end of the day.Lift was very small and didn't work.Very dark halls and rooms.Dated decoration.

It is in the best place, clean and value for money.

It is a bit squeezed, though due to the aged premises. However, it was not an issue at all.

I absolutely loved the ambience! As a history lover I absolutely adored being in a place which felt like it had a real history. The hotel had such character. I honestly felt like I was stepping back in time and I had so much fun! The staff were very friendly and helpful. They had a storage locker for our bags after we had checked out which was amazing! And, when we arrived they upgraded us free of charge which was such an unexpected perk! I loved it and will definitely go back.

The room was amazing - came with everything you needed. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Perfect for a weekend in Brussels :)

Cozy atmosphere and very friendly, available and professional staff.

Very little daylight in the room which is however not a big issue in winter when the whole day is spent at work.

very old hotel, I didn't like the sink being near the bed.

Good location, comfortable bed, pool area was nice

Overhead shower wasn’t working so only could use handheld one. Heating wouldn’t turn off so was too warm in room.

The room is clean and warm. The shower is amazing.

The room is too small. Except the receptionist who check us in, who was kind and helpful, the rest of the front desk is not helpful and unkind. I remember a blonde young man, wearing earrings, extremely unfriendly, looking at me like I was asking a favor every day I asked for the key room or when ones, I needed an information about bus. The people in the restaurant is also unfriendly.

Nice location, central enough and with easy access to the metro. Polite and helpful staff. Large room, and well maintained facilities. Comfy bed!

My room was situated in the annex, to which one has to cross an outdoor staircase that has no lighting at all - safety hazard!!! But that's "the vibe of the hotel"...

The location was good. Brussels is a strange city, and you really need to double-check where you’re staying otherwise you might not feel safe. (Friendly advice from someone who has visited often!)

The hotel looked much nicer online than it actually was. The rooms felt like they were falling apart, and we were very uncomfortable. The bathroom layout was awkward, the water pressure was almost non-existent, and there were oddly chopped-off walls everywhere. Overall, it felt very strange. I wouldn’t recommend it!

    9BiancaPosted on: 12-16-2025

The hotel aesthetic overall is amazing, with royal antique style. The area is good for shopping and pretty close to the city centre. The bed was very comfortable. The room was cleaned every day and the bathroom was well equipped. You can also have a balanced breakfast at the hotel and the reception is 24/7.

We could hear a lot of noise through the walls, there is ongoing renovation. A mini fridge would be nice

Good location in walking distance of train stations, lovely staff and a nice bar area. Powerful shower was great!

    To avoid

There are important refurbishment works underway on the two top floors, noisy and dirty. Not only this was not indicated on the hotel site but the builders begun at 8am to hammer on the top of my room on a Saturday. When I complained the receptionist refused to call a supervisor since it was Saturday and nobody was there or supposed to be bothered.

The owner of this hotel should be grateful for the professionalism of his staff at reception.

The rooms are dark, and not functional at all. At the same time, lots of construction taking place....

    9FilipaPosted on: 12-6-2025

Good location. Comfortable bed, good-sized bathroom. There was a piece of furniture with two shelves for storing things and some hangers; it was enough space for the three days we stayed there.

The floor and walls could be cleaner. But otherwise, everything is good.

    7TessaPosted on: 12-5-2025

    Nice location, good breakfast

The rooms are basic. There are no coffee/thee nor fridge in the room.
