Pros +
- Central location and friendly staff
- Clean room, good breakfast, staff
- Excellent central location (5-minute walk to St. Pancras International station). Quiet neighbourhood. Friendly staff. Clean and lovely rooms!
Cons -
- Small bathroom and very narrow stairs
- Bathroom / shower is rather small. A/C and heating makes a lot of noise.
- It is very run down. The furniture is worn, from the minute you step foot in the reception it is not like the pictures at all. The couch was peeling, the cabinet where they keep the luggage was chipped. The walls in the bedrooms were a disgrace, filthy dirty! The wallpaper was coming off, there was rust on the sockets, chips taken out of skirting boards and storage units. The vent was coming off the wall, the floor was on a slant we kept tripping over. The windows were not kept well at all and so thin you could hear a pin drop from outside. The gap between the door and floor in the bedroom was so big the light was coming into the room, you could hear every conversation in the hallway, we were woken up at 6am from whoever was above us as the floors were creaking. We expressed we weren’t happy with our room, they refused to accommodate us further and said they were booked up and couldn’t change the room, until I asked for a refund and told them we would not stay another night in our current room. Then we were moved from the second floor to the basement which was an improvement, it was bigger, the floor was more level, the walls were still dirty and there was a musty smell in the bathroom, but we persevered for the rest of the trip. The breakfast room is in the basement, no windows, seats were all worn, it was self service and the fry was not an English fry. It definitely is NOT worth the money you are paying, there were many other guests complaining during our stay also. For the money you are paying you would expect more, the place is falling apart. I have many more pictures but it will not let me upload them.

Location wasn’t too bad

Small but comfortable rooms, small, plenty hot water, good pressure in the shower, clean Cotton towels and sheets, polite staff and reasonable breakfast. The hotel is 10 minutes walk from Kings Cross Station and 5 minutes from Russell Square underground. The Brunswick shopping centre and Curzon Cinema nearby as well as 3 to 4 pubs within walking distance nearest the Devonshire Arms and good eateries.
Rooms could do with an upgrade, breakfast can be crowded as it has a small dinning room.
Location, cleanness, breakfast, staff
smell in the bathroom
The rooms and location really nice. Staff in the lobby really nice
I think the breakfast could have more variety and be healthier, especially adding different green and vegetarian options.
Staff were friendly, it was clean and in a great location.
We were unexpectedly roomed in the annexe, which is out of the main hotel across the road and in a different building, it was warm, clean & comfortable but a little 'tired'. We don't know what the rooms were like in the main building except for the reception and breakfast room, the seating in the breakfast room is a bit 'tired'. Thankfully it had stopped raining when we went to the main building for breakfast. There was a good choice of cereals and hurrah a veggie hot option. The staff couldn't be faulted, all were friendly and helpful and we felt they wanted us to enjoy our stay. Brilliant location for the tube.
Some areas a bit tired. Wouldn't have booked if we'd known we would be in the annexe.
Location was good , room was nice and staff were a great help when asking questions. Let us drop luggage off before room was ready.
Breakfast hall was small with a queue out the door felt rushed to get out so others could sit down. Breakfast was very good though. Annoyed i paid more than if id booked on the day. I thought booking early would guarantee best deal but actually nearly £40 cheaper on the day wish id of waited instead of paying in full the week before we arrived.
Location. Room was lovely. Night manager was accommodating.
Froze my first night. Buffet was unimpressive. Felt rushed to get in and out. Wasn't cozy. Hard bed. Won't be rebooking with them my next visit. I'm sorry.
Clean comfortable room.
Breakfast good but the hot food was not hot enough, lukewarm at best.
Location is excellent Staff very helpful Plenty of choice for breakfast
Location was perfect for commuting around the city. Short walk to underground and train.Loved that they provided a lovely selection hot and cold breakfast. Food was tasty and the coffee from the machine was surprisingly ok. Convenient luggage storage at the end of our stay was great.
Lots of steep winding stairs to top (3rd) floor, very noisy neighbours. Terrible smell from the bathroom. Shabby in places and in poor presentation with the exception of the front foyer unit adorned with fresh flowers and what must have been 4 or 5 different reed diffusers being preened by the housekeeper manager. If only all that attention to detail was across the hotel. Terrible maintenance throughout. Glass shelf and sink were both chipped likely from the loose shelf that suggests it’s fell off before. Sheets and towels were clean to the eye but quite a thin duvet so we were cold the first night. Coffee/tea selection was ok. Could have done with restock of milk and sugar when they did housekeeping mid stay but then I never asked for a refill either so wasn’t a huge issue for me. Mattress was firm and fine for me but my son had trouble with comfort. Staff were a bit flat but did their duties with a smile. Hotel in quiet area so no street noise. Just unfortunate some guests were loud. Floors creaky and doors banging.
centrally located in London with a short walk from euston and Kings cross. facilities were very neat and breakfast was adequate. Staff were friendly.
Room size was very small for two people
We had a lovely stay. A clean comfortable hotel within minutes of St Pancras. I was skeptical about the free breakfast but was pleasantly suprised to find both a hot and cold buffet that was very nice.
The room was small but to be expected in London.
The hotel is nice and well placed. The staff are friendly and helpful. Its my second time in this hotel and I'm not disappointed.
The breakfast doesn't provide a lot of options but there are restaurants and brunch cafes nearby
Quiet location, yet only a short walk from Euston and Kings Cross stations. Good size room. Decent breakfast buffet. Comfortable beds.
Slightly odd furnishings and furniture.
Location
My room was in an annex across the road with a very noisy storage heater system that really disrupted my sleep.
Location of hotel relative to my office
The hotel itself, and our rooms were in desperate need of paint. All of the walls were scuffed and ingest general bad shape. We were also placed in a basement room where there was no natural light except for a very large light outside of the room that shown in my coworkers that she even had someone knock on her window at 6 o’clock in the morning. Perhaps the biggest issue was how incredibly firm the mattress was on the bed if I hadn’t only been coming off of a one and a half hour sleep on an overnight flight I don’t think I would’ve slept the night I
