Cromwell Hotel

The location was excellent and the shower in the bathroom was very nice

The double bed was very hard and caused back pain for me & my guest. The bed did NOT stay in place and was two separate mattresses that shifted about on the bed platform.

Disgusting and horrible. No person should ever stay here

Horrible experience. Mold in my room and I got a chest infection. I told the staff and they had someone come “clean” the bathroom which did nothing, after 4 days of staying there I had to book a new hotel- I had originally booked to stay here for 14 days. No one has helped me since then with a refund HORRIBLE health and safety issues

Good location, friendly staff, nice view from the room.

Cleanness is definitely an issue at this hotel, as you can see on the photo, there were dust all over our bed sheets and pillows. Bathroom definitely needs renovation. Once you turn on the shower, everywhere gets wet. Moreover, there are no extra towels for the floor, even though i asked for a couple of small towels from the reception, we didn’t get any. More towels and slippers should be provided. The room was cold! Turned heater on following the instructions on it but it didn’t work at all for the entire stay. It was okay for a couple of nights but would not be so comfortable for a longer stay.

The hotel location and staff were helpful.

It was cold due to the heating system not functioning. This made the room uncomfortable until I was given an electric heater.

Great value for three people. The place was clean and comfortable and it was very close to a ton of excellent restaurants as well as the tube

Room was small, no view, elevator was broken when we arrived but was fixed later that day, workers outside the room starting at 830 am were very loud

Very good location

The room didn’t have the basic facilities like a second trash can in the room or foot towel. The worst part is that in our 4 day stay the room was not cleaned! And even the worst in our last day even though they came to the room and made the bedsheets (but didn’t vacuum as well, like all the other days) they didn’t refill the toilet paper. That was a really bad experience

Location was prime. Great air-conditioning as I am a hot sleeper.

They could provide hooks/shelves to hang coats, store clothes as there is enough wall space. Mattress had to be many years old because the topping/fabric on the mattress folds and shifts as you sleep leaving lumps. Cleanliness could be better as the rooms are not that big to give a thorough cleaning. There were food crumbs on the floor behind the table along with old receipts that fell behind the table from someone who stayed before me. This tells me the staff is not observant when cleaning. Bathroom shower is unusable for many (if you are not a small child). Bathroom smelled of sewage and tile grout was moldy. You need to squeeze between the sink to get into the shower which then the shower doors open approximately 12 inches to get into.

The staff was helpful and worked with us on issues

The room was on a half floor with a view of 3 brick walls. As most places in Europe the AC was non existent. The internet router kept failing and we had to go to the lobby to get on the laptops. The beds seemed to be new but they was assigned hard as Fred Flinstones bedrock beds

The bathroom is quite large for Europe, and we were shocked to learn there was AC. Tube stations are close, and there are both a grocery store and a laundromat across the street. This hotel is amazing for the price!

Shower did not drain well

Clean, modern and well appointed room. Had all the basics you would expect. Large double bed.

Noise! The road noise was unbearable and meant a largely awake night, despite being on the third floor. I could also hear people talking in the room next door.

Good location with good price, friendly staff, the elevator broke down when we check out so they send a staff to help us with the luggage.

The first room they gave us is in the odd level, so it cannot access by elevator. I nees to ask to change room. The second room is excellence with great view.

Very dirty hotel with a premium price

The rooms are way too small and congested. The rooms are dirty and the toilet as well. The hallway is not clean and you can literally hear people walking in the hallway while you sleep. Also, if someone else flushes their toilets, you will hear the sound in your room. We couldn't get a good sleep due to all these noises at night from the hallway and other toilets. The whole experience was horrible.

Great location in a very nice neighborhood!

The staff tried to kick us out of the room after night 1 and make us change properties to somewhere across the city without telling us until that morning. Nothing on the booking to tell us that and said nothing at check-in. They ended up letting us stay the next night since we argued back that we had no notice and paid for this specific property, still very unprofessional.

Room was clean and comfortable and served the purpose as I spent one night in the hotel. Easy to find hotel, location is a a few minutes away from Gloucester Road tube station.
