    Pros +

    • The location of Columbus Hotel was centrally located for touristy activities. Nothing fancy but it met our basic needs.
    • Location. cleanliness
    • A very authentic London neighborhood in the center! Station, subway a few minutes walk! The staff is very kind and helpful! The room was clean, although it is needed for 4 people, the bed is very comfortable, the bathroom is small. The breakfast is delicious, plentiful, croissants, hazelnut cream. There is a lot of breakfast cereal. There are no eggs, 1 type of meat and 1 type of cheese, which is a bit boring. Coffee is average.

    Cons -

    • WiFi configuration was a little sketch, however it worked.
    • The breakfast could be more varied...a real English breakfast with eggs and beans...even if it costs more.
    • Uncomfortable beds, poor shower facilities, a sorry breakfast

good location, clean tidy place, ok to just put your head down for one night..

several flights of very steep stairs, breakfast pathetic, not worth bothering.token breakfast

Fantastic location, and easy check in/check out.

There is no lift so you do have to carry your bags up the steep, narrow staircases. We were on the third floor and that was a lot after a 20 hour flight.

Andrea at reception was amazing!!!!Comfy beds and hot water.

    Bathroom is very small.

    Very poor

Room was dirty, screws hanging out of the walls, the smell was musty. The bathroom was smaller than an airplanes. Only one parking space for the hotel. Plug sockets with tape over them.

The breakfast was substantial and a good variety of options. Staff communicated well and got you set up quickly.

    Lots of stairs to apartment

Good location near Paddington tube station. Near shops and restaurents

We had a groundfloor small room. At the back of the kitchen, reception area. Noisy from 6am.

The room I was in was so quiet! I’ve read other reviews but I was ground floor at the rear and I couldn’t hear a thing.

The mattress was a little firm, maybe an extra pillow would be good but otherwise no negative feedback at all.

Good location. Easy to walk to Oxford Circus. Clean. Good shower. Breakfast OK.

Lower ground floor - looked out into courtyard and you could hear the underground trains

    Lovely staff, comfy rooms

I never got back my £50 deposit for the car parking.

Great price considering it's central London and so close to Paddington station. The size of the room was okay, but we were only there to sleep and having it's own bathroom, we couldn't complain. It was perfect for what we needed. The bed was comfortable and the room was cleaned to a high standard. The TV channels were clear. There were tea and coffee making facilities in the room, although we didn't use them ourselves. The breakfast was basic, but nice. On offer were croissants on the table with Nutella. Toast, butter, honey and preserves. Ham and cheese and a selection of cereals. Yogurt and peach slices.Coffee machine with a selection of coffees and hot chocolate and apple and orange juice to drink.Everything replenished promptly.Staff were friendly. Check in and out was quick and easy.

    Nothing we didn't like.

Location, proximity to Paddington station, lower price vs peers

Very narrow and packed rooms, impossible to move inside, room cleaning wasn't done properly (if you put something on your bed, they won't make your bed), breakfast consisted of few stuff

Nice staff, good location near the metro station.

There is no proper luggage srotage even it should have, bed was very small and pillows were not great.

    8GinaPosted on: 10-30-2025

Location is great. Hotel was cute. Staff was super helpful and was great at telling us how to get places. Paddington is a cute place with lots of options for shops, restaurants, and literally one block from regular busses and the underground or train. The big bus picks up around corner. Would stay again.

The very hard beds. Also a little bit bigger comforter would be great. In the shower in the downstairs room 505, it needs something in shower to hold shampoo and soap. Bending over to pick this up from floor of shower caused me to hit the shower controls and it went scorching hot. My back got a bit red but I am ok. One of those wall dispensers would be ideal for that tiny shower. Water pressure was astounding though. Breakfast was ok...try varying the fruit once in a while or I know some fresh fruit. Maybe do some improvements on that downstairs room. Kinda blah.

room at front of hotel so quite a nice view.Room clean and warm .The bathroom pod was small but efficient.

having to step up into the bathroom pod i found it difficult due to having limited movement of left knee .just dithered a bit before moving .
