Pros +
- Lovely boutique hoitel
- Good room, comfortable beds, extremely clean, very good shower, quiet environment, enough room to keep everything and stay for more than one night.
- The location and the hotel is beautiful.
Cons -
- Noisy in the morning with rubbish bin lorry out the back
- I didn't like the bath's height. To leave the shower, the bath is a bit high and lacks a secure place to grip. I felt a bit unstable.
- The service was hit and miss. The room itself was quite small and basic for the price but clean and has the essentials you need for a night's stay.

Location - property needs a bit of a face lift in areas
I wasn’t impressed with the entrance - staff were great everywhere -
Good location, friendly staff, good value for price.
It was warm in London so lack of room aircon made the stay a bit uncomfortable.
The location is excellent with a great shopping row nearby. The staff were attentive and very courteous. Fluffy white dressing gown was beautiful and big thick bath sheets were well appreciated. Having open fires in little rooms, one with a good range of books, makes for a very homely hotel.
I think it is worth paying extra for a double bed. The stay was definitely too short to sample the vegan gluten free on offer.
Location. Reception was efficient and friendly.
Rooms are dated. The mouse running around the dinning room floor and the restaurant staff moaning about their supervisor while guests are in the vicinity wasn’t endearing.
Location was amazing, just of Marylebone High St. Staff were very accommodating and helpful. Atmosphere very relaxing and cosy. Several open fires which are very welcoming on a cold winter's day.
My only criticism is that the there was no shower pressure and we had to run the hot for about 5 minutes to get warm water through.
Location is perfect. The staff are attentive and there is a welcoming vibe. Loved the real fire and the cosy lounges. The main concierge and his assistants are very personable.
Some elements of the room were a little tired, such as the trim around the bath, a heated towel rail that didn’t seem to work and a temperamental cold tap.The inability to double lock/bolt the door from the inside meant that we felt somewhat insecure.
The location is nearly perfect, quiet but very close to major tourist attractions and well connected to those that are a bit farther away. The staff were extremely helpful and kind, and the hotel has a charming old English vibe that adds to the experience. I would definitely stay here again.
The sink drain was partially clogged, so the water drained quite slowly. Also, the water pressure in the shower was weak for our taste, and the shower itself is a bit low, which can be slightly inconvenient for tall people, but nothing serious.
Real fire place in the bar was cozy in Winter.
Small rooms
Great to stay in a privately owned hotel with great touches. location was excellent so convenient and yet quiet and the ambience traditional and hotel very comfortable. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Marylebone is a lovely area with many restaurants and (expensive) shops easy to get around London from. Wallace collection so close is superb and Oxford Street a short walk.
The rooms are small but well appointed; bathroom needs updating - shower head difficult to adjust flow, more like a tap and old fashioned shower curtain, light in mirror not working. Prices high even for London, especially breakfast and drinks plus extra charges added to bill on check out.
Gorgeous hotel - truly love the charm and location.
There is only one single plug socket in the twin bedroom for two adults which is nowhere near enough. We had to choose between the iron, hairdryer, charging our phones or having a hot drink. We also waited 95 minutes on room service and were still charged for it. Early morning kitchen deliveries on both days woke us up.
Restaurant and bar staff good. Main meal good.
Room was way below expectations for the money paid. Shower is old fashioned and barely worked. Check in staff miserable. We were charged service on the evening meal and drinks. Stayed in better hotels for less money.
We have totally fallen for this beautiful traditional hotel. The staff were wonderful and reception areas so so beautiful and festively decorated for Christmas. Amazing location near the Wallace collection. We'll definitely return!
Location and cosy at Christmas time
Bathroom very outdated, shower curtain old and looking dirty, shower in need of de-scaling

Atmosphere, comfort.location breakfast open fires..
Nothing special to report.
I stayed in a twin room as it was just me traveling for work. For such a small room, the bathroom was very roomy with a great soaker tub, so that made up for the small room. Staff were pleasant. It's a great location and good price for what you get.
Plugs were not near the bed. The windows are old and hard to open. The twin bed mattress was pretty worn. The room is quite small.
Its location, its authentic classic, old-fashioned, country house style, its attentive staff and its other congenial guests all make Durrant's a unique and wonderful place to stay.
(At some point, it would be great if the hotel could put electric outlets at either side of the bed!)
