Walking distance to St Pancras international station and nicely decorated with green as the main color.
Our room was quite small, not much space to even walk around the bed
Nice and relaxing hotel with a special vibe. It looks just like the pictures from the booking site. All in all it is fresh and clean. The touch with the small garden is amazing and makes the room feel even bigger. Only downside is the breakfast. It is good but basic and not as big as we would have liked. So no pancakes or big variety but the little there is, is good and there is small snacks for the afternoon and tea and coffee sparkling water all day and night.
Convenient for Kings Cross. Small bespoke but higher end hotel. Staff very friendly.
We would have preferred a more cooked breakfast option for breakfast.
Great property Shane about the temperature
My room was turned up at 35 degrees my shower was also on boiling when I switched it on which is dangerous. I couldn’t sleep due to the heat in the room
The location was ok for access to the train stations however there is construction ongoing and the park at the front of the hotel was very noisy. We were only in the room for around quarter of an hour but raised voices outside were very loud. Staff were friendly on arrival however after asking for an immediate refund while on the train home we were given short thrift. We have wasted £380 on a room we spent quarter of an hour in.
Absolutely everything. The hotel is very small even from the outside and not very well lit inside. The hallways were very cramped and getting cases to the room up 2 flights of stairs very difficult. On entering the room it was poorly lit, very small and there was no separate bathroom. My wife needed the toilet and could be seen through the glass of the small vestibule housing a cramped shower and toilet bowl. The sink was out with this glass cube. While walking in a dirty cloth stuck to my boot and on examination the floor had not been swept, there were pieces of sliver paper on it and my wife said the toilet itself was not clean. I had contacted the hotel direct asking for as nice a room as possible and they replied saying it would be fine - it was far from fine and we couldn't stay. As I was told by the hotel this was one of their 'nicest rooms' there seemed no reason to ask if there was any better. This was £190 per night for one of the poorest rooms we've ever seen. I have asked for a refund but been denied by the hotel. My wife was so upset she got ill and we travelled back to Glasgow immediately at great expense. All in all this trip cost nearly £1K and we were in London for under an hour. Really disgusted and need Booking.com and it's users to know this. Easily the worst experience I have ever had through Booking.com and I have been using it regularly for years.
The staff were lovely and the hotel was very clean
It was very expensive for what it was. Bed was too soft and room was very small.
The bed is big and comfy, the room is beautiful, nice big bath, the location of the hotel is near the station
The loud plumbing noises when running any water, fire alarm went off for 5 seconds very early in the morning, can hear people walking around above you if in the basement room, the walls are very thin, aircon wasn’t working so we had to open the window which meant a restless night due to hearing everything that’s happening in the street. do NOT book the breakfast as the food is abysmal. no hot food available, literally 2 types of cereal and boiled egg. we went up for breakfast at 10AM and there was a bowl of eggs, 1 pastry, and some bread. nothing else. the place is overpriced for what you experience.
The location of the hotel is handy, very close to King's Cross and St. Pancreas - the staff at the hotel were very friendly and did everything you'd need them to do, some nice touches like having some snacks and drinks available for guests already in the room at no extra charge, that was a lovely touch. The room was big, narrow but long, which was appreciated.
The hotel seemed to be lacking in facilities - I didn't buy the breakfast but it looked fairly plain. I had a few issues with the room, nothing major, but many times trying to hang the do not disturb notice on my door left the door unable to lock, I had to fiddle with that a lot and the balcony garden sitting area, I wasn't overly convinced in the security of those doors - the outdoor area also just stank of weed, but I can't really mark the hotel down for that. The bathroom area is a little small / toilet / shower but as a solo traveller it was ok. The area, whilst very convenient, maybe after dark I didn't feel overly safe even as a 6'2" solo male but again, not really anything the hotel can do. Overall, I don't think the price I paid for 3 nights fully justified the hotel as is.
Perfect location Rooms very comfortable and clean
A little noisy above our basement room in early hours of morning, woke me, could hear people walking above us
Wonderful boutique hotel with the friendliest of staff. Really lovely vibe in the main area, that makes it easy to chill and relax. the staff are incredibly helpful. Being just off the main road the hotel isn't too noisey yet is within a couple of minutes walk of all public transport and lots of restaurants, bars, cafes and shops. Really is a great vibe and we would stay again when in London.
The location is great and the interior styling is very nice.
Unfortunately we were disturbed the Friday night by what I think was the bar playing loud music until gone 1am. Even keeping the window closed didn’t help, and we love dance music as much as the next, but not when trying to sleep :’-) The shower area is also not the best designed as if the door is open the water leaves and goes into the main room however when we closed the door it was swollen from water exposure and we almost got stuck. As with other review, the soundproofing isn’t the best and we heard everything going on in other rooms. It wasn’t worth the price
The room and whole aesthetic is really gorgeous. The bed was so comfortable. The rainfall shower was equally brilliant.
The only thing that could have been better was the check in process. We arrived and were asked to sit in the bar and waited for 15 minutes to get checked in. Appreciate it was probably busy but even an offer of something small for the wait would have been a pleasant gesture of goodwill. The soundproofing for the room above us probably needs some improvement…
The location was within easy walking distance from a travel hub - King's Cross /St. Pancras station. We came to London on a Eurostar train. It stopped basically 2 blocks from the hotel. Each day we were greeted by someone that had a smile on their face and were asking if they could assist you in some way. You got the feeling that they understood the hospitality business. The breakfast area/bar was cozy and provided a comfortable place to discuss the day's pending activities.
We had a room at the top floor of the hotel. After a full day of tramping around London, a few flights of stairs were a bit inconvenient.
The staff were excellent, very friendly and helpful.
The soundproofing is poor we could hear a lot of noise, we were in one of the large king rooms and it does say access via stairs but it doesn’t say there are 47 mega steep stairs which was not pleasant, the television was very hit and miss as to whether the volume worked or not and finally the room itself just didn’t feel comfortable or welcoming which was a shame.
Firstly the location is great. Right next to Kings Cross station so easy to get where you want to go. The hotel has a nice boutique-y vibe that runs through the bar/breakfast area and into the rooms. Rooms (double) was a good size, comfortable bed and nice shower. Couldn’t hear any street noise at all from my room.
I was in a lower ground room and the walkway from rooms to breakfast area was right above. They could do with adding some sound proofing as on occasion I could hear people walking on the floor above.
Location and friendly
Bed too soft for us
Great location near to Kings Cross station on a quiet back street. Lovely room with everything I needed. Funky decor in the lobby areas. Really cool place
Unfortunately there is little to no soundproofing between the rooms and the corridors. I could hear people walking around in the room above me which woke me up several times during the night, and any noise from the corridor sounded like it was basically inside the room. Almost ruined what was otherwise a near perfect experience. Such a shame
