Staunton Hotel

Loved the location. The room was very comfortable and breakfast was very good.

No lift, but knew that ahead of time.

Completely inflexible check in time. Arrived from the airport 15 minutes before posted check in time and asked to come back later to check in.

The hotel was easy to find and within walking distance from where we wanted to go. The check-in was easy and all the staff in the hotel were friendly and accommodating. The room was a standard double and was very nice, with a large bathrooom. We didn't have a view as such because our window gave onto other buildings but on the plus side, it means nighttime was quiet. We only stayed one night and didn't spend much time in the room. Breakfast (full English) was very nice and staff were happy to accommodate special requests, with a smile.

The Staunton hotel is in an excellent location close to tube stations , bars restaurants , Bloomsbury has plenty of places to relax and eat .Hotel is clean and comfortable.Breakfast was ample and freshly cooked to order .

The only downside is there is no lift due to the nature of the property, being on the 3rd floor was a bit of a jaunt , especially when coming back from breakfast in the basement.

Great location, incredibly quiet, absolutely fantastic shower. Store Street just around the corner is full of fantastic shops and restaurants.

Location is FANTASTIC! Safe, clean and well-maintained area, walking distance to both exclusive and trendy shopping and dining. From Heathrow, I took the Piccadilly Line (75 min) straight to Covent Garden and then walked 10 min to the B&B. Also, I loved that my room had a bathtub. Breakfast was great. This B&B is value for the money.

The en-suite bathroom smelled badly of drains. The man who saw us in on reception acknowledged this straight away on entering the bathroom and put some strong chemicals down drain of the shower. However, by the middle of the night the smell had returned. He did his best but it wasn’t a pleasant stay.Breakfast was very poor and could be helped. All very dull and cereals not of good quality. Fruit had definitely seen better days!B

Location is very good, close to Oxford street and Carnaby Street where all the nice stores and restaurants are. The room was cleaned every day. Breakfast is ok, and bed is comfortable.

The rug on the floor is quite dirty and old. Pillows are not comfortable. Kitchen smell comes up to the room in the morning.

The room is fine and quite big by London standards. The location is very convenient to TCS (ie the Lizze Line, Oxford street etc). Only drawback is that I was on the bottom floor and it was very loud all night with traffic and drinkers, but that's just central london! I didn't eat the breakfast (it opens at 8am)

The staff all seemed a bit cold from start to finish. Vibe was weird. When I checked out, the lady didn't even ask me "how my stay was" which I thought was a little odd.

Traditional B&B with spacious rooms, a super comfy bed and all amenities needed. I felt right at home.

There is a rather strong food smell coming of the breakfast into the rooms in the morning

Great location, edge of Chinatown/West End etc but quiet. Comfortable beds, lovely large shower. Breakfast was very good, daughter is vegetarian and enjoyed the veggie sausage. Very reasonable price. Would stay again
