Pros +
- Good staff, good location, breakfast, value for money.
- I liked the staff and the location was great for our itinerary.
- We stayed for 3 nights in Albro house. The staff is very friendly. The location is perfect, in the center, 3 min. to Padiington tube. 5 min. tu Hyde park. The room is very clean, and renovated. The breakfast was fantastik. Lovely stay!
Cons -
- The breakfast was not that great and the fact that our room was do close to a busy, noisy street made it hard to sleep.
- The reception office is downstairs and the stairs are small but it doesn’t matter I only go there on my arrival and on my check out so it’s fine with me.
- Please put oil on the door hinges of the fire doors on each floor. They creak loudly and will wake up everybody on the floor especially if someone returns in the early hours. A tin of WD40 costs a few ££s.There is a £5 daily charge for storing luggage at the hotel. I haven't experienced this before but maybe this is now the practice in London. Anyway, the rooms were value for money so I could live with this.

Staff was excellent and very accommodating.
The room they gave me is nice clean and comfortable and in the first floor close to the entrance that I don’t need to go up or down or walk farther and it has the amenities that I need for coffee in the morning. It’s also walkable to do shopping and restaurant of different culture and easy to transformations. I have my own key for the main door and to my room.
The reception office is downstairs and the stairs are small but it doesn’t matter I only go there on my arrival and on my check out so it’s fine with me.
Excellent location, value for money, small but comfortable room, small but modern bathroom, friendly staff

Location is vary convenient. Also god value for the price, room was clean and nice
Quite small hallways, I think one would have difficulties to fit a big suitcase to the upper floors using stairs.
Location, cleanliness, staff, environment and safety, security and heating.
No front desk, no left, no reception hall to meet the friends .
Bed bugs and ball bags
Bed bugs, denial from staff. Asked to leave the building. Abused. Ignored. Asked to come in to meet the manager to be met with threats of getting police.
The location, the clean room and courteous staff.
Very convenient location to Paddington station. The room was exactly as advertised. Staff were extremely friendly and very helpful.
My room was right beside the reception area and was not soundproof so there was a lot of noise. The bed was uncomfortable.
Arrived midnight, sole employee polite and helpful. BUT when asked about breakfast he said NOT available, pls note this as I booked place to get breakfast! Not impressed.
No light over sink in room. Bathroom down hallway quite far.
The location--very close to Paddington Station and Kensington Gardens--is the principal reason to stay at Albro House Hotel. The room we stayed in had nice light too, due to the floor-to-ceiling window.
The kettle in our room did not work, the chain lock on the door was broken, the bed pillows were thin and hard, and the tv was very small. Also, the beautiful window let in a lot of road noise. The bathroom had been nicely updated, but the shower was extremely tight at about 3'x3'. Finally, the reception was oddly located in the basement, which was mainly a problem when we left our luggage before the room was ready--when we returned, we had to carry our heavy bags up three flights of stairs.
We liked the location and the room
Room was a bit run down and dusty, but it was cheap for London and we enjoyed our stay regardless. Hot water also kept turning off.
The staff is super nice and the location is great. Only 2 blocks from Paddington Station and walking distance to Hyde Park. Also, the hotel is very clean.
First of all, my reservation specifically included breakfast, but when I arrived they informed me they were no longer serving breakfast and that they would give me back 5 pounds per day. The problem is that with that money there's no way you can get a proper breakfast outside. Secondly, the bed was really old and terribly uncomfortable. I could feel the springs digging into my back. Finally, they charge you 5 pounds per suitcase for leaving them after check out, when most hotels let you leave them for free.I do appreciate that they changed me (free of charge) to a double room, even though I paid for a single. As I only stayed for 2 nights, it was ok. But I don't think the place is worth what they charge.
It was a great price for the location and rooms. The room was a good size for us both to be in there for sleep and getting ready in the morning. Book here if you want somewhere to stay and aren’t going to spend a lot of time in the room. The place is fantastic and super clean
Smallish room if you plan to spend time in them
Great location for a visit to a festival at Hyde park.
Room was small and VERY basic, even for a 3 star hotel. There was no breakfast and we were reimbursed poorly for that!
The location and hospitality is great they helped us and made sure everything was okey, for the money we paid its good value
The room is small and its hard to move around but it was in room descption so it was our choice, there is no lift and stairs are narrow but we were lucky to be on the first floor
Staff was incredibly kind and helpful. Location is fantastic.
The room was a closet and the shared bathroom a cupboard. Cleanliness is questionable as the facilities are quite dated, so it can be hard to tell.
Great location, comfortable room, helpful staff.
