Pros +
- 54 Queen's Gate Hotel was lovely. The hotel is located in the perfect location for sightseeing. The hotel is just a few blocks away from the nearest tube station which was very convenient. However, we typically walked everywhere. The room was pleasant, and the staff was wonderful. I asked to be assigned a room with a patio or balcony during our stay and were pleasantly surprised when we found a lovely balcony overlooking the beautiful mews homes below. Thank you, Queen's Gate management, for your generous hospitality. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this lovely hotel.
- The property is well maintained, clean and is located perfectly for attending The Royal Albert HallOur Room was large with a small outside area. It was comfortable and had tea/coffee making facilities
- Central location, staff, decor, cleanliness.
Cons -
- We loved everything about this this property from the staff to the location as well as the attention to detail and accommodating our request for a lovely balcony!
- Having stayed at 54 Queens Gate twice before we decided to book a delux double as we assumed that it would be on the upper floors. Unfortunately our room (no.4) was in the basement so had much less natural light - not to my liking
- No I can’t think of anything.

No I can’t think of anything.
Its clean and the location is good
The number of room and the floor very confusing and the elevator is so small
Great location, very kind staffs, clean.
At first, I didn’t understand that they wanted to charge me additional 5% after paid for all. I asked and found out that it was a charge for service, basically for tips. I would do that usually without forced me to pay separately.
Overpriced and Noisy room - poorly maintained, good shower, comfortable bed!
Noisy room (No 1) from street noise and passing traffic and people above, a rattling window to the street every time a van passed, too dim lighting - couldn't even see the 'max' mark in the kettle, radiator valve missing so room overheated, complete cheek in sending an email on the day of arrival to ask for an additional 5% service charge on an already over-priced room - for no service given at all - apart from the check-in! Been twice, never again - better value elsewhere!
The property was very nice and clean and had water delivered daily to my room. Within walking distance to a great park and restaurants and trains.
It didn’t have a fitness center.
Great location, clean and great breakfasts!
There were some incidental charges I had to pay when I checked in. I have no idea what I was being charged for especially when I just walked into the hotel. For this reason I will not return although my stay there otherwise was wonderful. Lost my business over £16.
Excellent room great location
The shower overflowed but they came and fixed it after notification
The location is awesome. Near transport, lots of restaurants, and plenty of iconic sites to visit. The place is well kept, very clean and easy to get to. WiFi was adequate to support regular business use - even though I was in a corner of the building. I had a tiny little balcony and a view, which gave the room a slightly more homey feel. I Highly recommend 54 Queens Gate.
My room was essentially a 4th floor walk up, as two different tiny elevators were required to get there and they were super slow - so not paritcularly inviting. On the plus-side, it introduced a bit of an unintended health benefit.
Really nice small hotel ideal for Royal Albert Hall and other Kensington venues.
No problems, nice hotel, decent value for West London standards.
Comfortable, quiet place, with approx. 800 meter walking distance to Metro, cafes, restaurants, andi
Advertised laundry facilities and there were none.
Great location in Kensington. A few blocks from museums and castles. Very clean and updated room. Sheets and towels were excellent - crisp and cotton.
Heavy perfume smell in lobby. $90 service charge not included in Booking price. Booking always shows all charges at the time of booking.
The location was very good. The breakfast was ok. A cooked option was provided but varied significantly depending who was on. On the one hand one piece of bacon only was given with bacon and eggs on the other we got two.
The staff made us prepay a gratuity of £26 on our credit card when checking in. We got the option of reversing it when we left and did so as a matter of principle. No one has ever done this before.
Great location near transit, restaurants and park. Staff was wonderful! Room was perfect, comfortable.
Nothing to list
Very clean and comfy room. Great location very near Natural History Museum, V&A Muse, and Royal Albert Hall. Walk to Harrods.
Nothing to dislike, though there weren't many restaurants around.
I was attending the From Dark Till Dawn concert at Royal Albert Hall and needed a hotel that was a safe, close walk away since I would be going solo to a concert that started at 11 p.m This was the perfect place. It's also a short walk from bus and Tube stops so it's an easy access point to the entire city. My room was small, but it was very comfortable, pleasant, and perfectly quiet, which I needed when I returned after having been awake all night. I appreciated the fact that this Edwardian house has a lift, which I did not anticipate. The hotel felt very safe to me, with entry requiring a card or a buzz to the front desk.
I have difficulty with stairs, and there's not an easily accessible handrail on the front steps. I always appreciate a handheld shower head, which my room did not have.
Close to Hyde Park and easy access to central London. Very comfy bed. Very clean and great staff. Definitely a great place to stay when in London.
All great
