Perhaps have some coffee making options in room will be better.

The tube seemed to run right under the building, no kettle in the room and little storage in the room. I’ve stayed in smaller rooms with better storage.

Location, service. Staff did best to accommodate any requests, given the limitations.

No wardrobe, luggage rack, drawers, not even a bar with hangers for clothes, no table/desk of any kind. Room was tiny but a little thought could come up with solutions for some of those. Flood of constant emails and messages prior to, during and after the stay was excessive.

This little quaint accommodation is cute and is very well designed for travelers. The room is small but comfortable and clean. The bathroom seems to have recently been remodeled with modern showers and toilets. The common amenities with water dispenser, hot water, coffee and tea are provided. The wonderful service they provide is that we could leave our luggages in their luggage storage room for free if we come in before check in time or we want to explore more after check out. The staff was wonderful and helpful. Highly recommended.

Nothing we can think of. Some reviewers mentioned the train noise but it was so low we did not even notice it.

2 minute walk from Paddington Station

If I was basing this review solely on my original room, it would be a 5. I was in a ground floor room and it was so loud when the underground went by that the whole room would rumble. The tube runs until 1am and then starts again early in the morning. Additionally, loud talking outside of my room each morning starting at 7am (I think I was near the staff area). They were able to move me to a 3rd floor room for my last night and that was much better - not nearly as noticeable when the tube went under the building. It was a small room but it was fine for me and the bathroom was nicer. As others have mentioned, no elevator and narrow steep stairs given it’s an older building. So, if your priority is to be close to Paddington, this hotel is ok as long as you get a room on at least the 2nd floor or above.

Very nice friendly and helpful staff. Great location a few minutes walk to Paddington Station and Hyde Park. Did not have any issues with noise or vibration from the tube, as others have mentioned. Charming, historic hotel.

Rooms are small, but about the same as other places I have stayed in central London.

Location is easy to find amongst many other hotels; ample restaurants for breakfast and Big Bus tour stop nearby

Small twin room in the basement meant not much space for our suitcases. Staff came into our room unannounced while we were napping one afternoon and woke us with apologies — not sure why they’d made that mistake. Made us feel insecure the rest of our stay.

Simple small and clean room, helpful staff, cleanly shared spaces, easy to access via trains.

Location and housekeeping were good

I stayed here for 4 nights at a cost of around $1,200, and unfortunately the experience was very disappointing. The room had visible cracks in the walls, which caused noticeable drafts. To make matters worse, there was little to no effective heating.Given the price point, basic comfort should be a given. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel unless significant improvements are made.

Great location close to Paddington station. Free luggage storage before and after stay. Clean throughout - great colour scheme and design. Coffee/tea corner. Safe in room. Great coffee at Pilgrim and Hilton hotels around the corner. Will stay there next time even if it costs a lot more

Our room was officially on the 4th floor but 8 staircases up! No lift. Worried about fire safety. Very noisy over train station and felt rumbling. Hard to get hot water in shower. Very short bed. Hard pillows. No greetings or interest from staff.

Very close to Paddington station and staff available 24 hours. They also store your luggage when your room is not ready to check in yet.

No lift and stairs gradually become very small where you step the higher you climb them. This makes it very difficult to bring up large luggage. Rooms are eccessively small. There is barely enough space for the bed and a very small shower. Not worth the price for the room regardless of the location

The location is perfect - 2 min from Paddington station. The hotel is small, the room is small, but I liked it very much - the reception 24h, the location, the beds, the cup of tea/coffee on morning, the water tap for convenience.
