Pros +
- Position and daily cleaning.
- Location
- Everything is very clean, and the space is well organized. Location is great, the neighborhood is really nice, lots of pubs, restaurants, and close to underground and overground stations.
Cons -
- Some maintenance needed in the room. One bedside light did not work. There was no hairdryer. Broken towel hook in bathroom. But most importantly, the main door onto the street was often left open. It did not latch closed automatically.
- Noisy characters in adjoining room on first night Complicated check in
- The rooms are above a pub, which means that if you're on the first floor, you'll hear the music until around 11pm. Moreover, the soundproofing is really poor: you'll hear your neighbors and everything happening in the corridor, including the cleaning personnel that sometimes starts working at 7am or so.

Great location close to all modes of transportation. Good value, always clean.
No lift
Very well located with Tube and train stations close by as also the public buses. Nearby presence of supermarkets like Tesco and Sainsbury helped; besides, the local public library was a bonus where we spent a fair amount of time on the day we checked out as checkout time is 11am whereas our Eurostar was at 4.30pm.Our toaster was not working and on bringing to their attention, it was immediately replaced. The super-compact kitchenette will definitely elicit a laugh as it is inside what can pass off as a clothes cupboard :) The crockery, cutlery and pot and pan provided is adequate for 2 ... though a couple of extra spoons and forks would have been helpful. The daily cleaning of the room and bathroom was very good with towels being replaced and room being done up nicely every day of our 4-day stay. A generous supply of bath gel and shampoo was also given. Though our room was on the topmost floor (and it was a tiring climb, twice a day), the water pressure in the shower and tap was very good and the water heater worked well. Overall, the room and the whole hotel corridor and stairs were spotlessly clean. Unlike many hotels, they had provided Febreeze spray in the toilet to overcome any smells .. which was thoughtful.
The aircon was not working at full level which was a pity as that was one of the main reasons we booked this place since we were visiting London during its recent heat wave !The wifi connectivity was iffy after the first day during our 4 days stay. The 3rd day we suffered full outage which hampered my work a lot. To their credit I must say that after bringing it to their notice, the next day it improved ... BUT the previous night I could do no work. The room we were allotted did look different from the one we saw online while booking, as the online views seemed to have a couch in addition to the bed.
The bathroom was really nice, shower was very comfortable to be in though it can be a bit of a squeeze for two people
The foldable kitchen, was not cleaned properly, it smelled like mildew and expired food, especially the microwave which led to us not using it during our stay.
The room was a great size, a lot of room. The bed was also very comfortable. I really liked the location as well, we’d never been to Hampstead so it was a great place to explore the area.
There is no elevator
The location and the shower.
1. The extremely rude receptionist lady on our first day there. 2. Our Aircon did not work and was never fixed. And we reported it. As nothing was done we asked for a fan instead.3. The fan was half broken as it was missing its cover on the face - see attached. 4. They call it a serviced room but our dishes were only washed when we asked for it. 5. They call it a hotel but was more like a self catering room.
I love how clean the space is. Very conveniently located. Shower is wonderful. Beds comfortable. The TV blinked a lot but I wasn't worried. Size of the room is wonderful and they include coffee, tea and milk packs. But no water.
Small gripe, yet they cleaned my room while I was gone. I didn't request it and don't like my stuff being touched. Also the check in office is separate from the place you'll stay.
Very clean, comfy room, nice staff
We are family with kids and we were separated ? 2 rooms each in different building. The rooms are on the high floor without an elevator. Under One of the rooms there was a noisy pub, couldn't sleep till 2 o'clock at night. Horrible.
We have been to this hotel 4 times in three years. This is a perfect location to take a bus, or train to anywhere in London. The neighborhood has character, and it has many great stores and restaurants. The room is clean and comfortable. You can use your own kitchenette, and make use of the fridge for groceries. The cleaners are really nice too.
Please make sure that the air conditioning is 'on' and 'working' upon arrival for all guests. Aside from that it was great.
good location and well equipped room.
The towels were very old and worn, and the bed sheets had clearly seen better days. I stayed on a Friday night, and it was quite noisy so I had to use earplugs to fall asleep around 11 PM.
AIR CONDITIONING! Wonderfully cool in the midst of the heat wave. Comfortable bed and clever kitchen-in-a-closet. Private bath topped off the facilities so that Nox has everything you need.
4th time I stayed there. It's my go-to in London, given the location and price. This time, however, the cleaning lady was extremely rude to me regarding my checkout time, despite my having agreed to an extra hour with the reception. I just told her to wait and closed the door, but that wasn't very pleasant.
I think the only thing good about the hotel is the location of the property. West Hampstead is busy place, and has a lot of attraction activities to do.
The first thing is the fact that the address given was not the hotel. We then walked to another building to find the reception to get the keys. From the reception, we walked another distance with our luggage to where we stayed. We climbed 8 flights of stairs with our luggage to get to our room. The air condition was not working although there was a standing fan available, the room had patches of water leaks/marks on the ceiling and it smelled funny. The windows were bolted in, so we could not open the window for ventilation and the weather was really hot. I killed a bedbug-like bug off the sofa, which made our skin itch, then entire stay was no longer enjoyable. I approached the receptionist about our concerns. Mind you, this is a different building entirely. She said my booking was a non-refundable booking, so I could not get my money back. Also, she said it was the last room, so she could not change my room. So, my choices were either to stay and suffer or to leave and lose my money, either ways there was nothing for me.
Room was clean, stylish and comfortable.
Our room was next to the reception, seemingly the only room being used in that building as the hallways were cluttered with decorating stuff and it just looked like a building site. The walls were thin so we would hear everything the person on reception were saying so didn't feel very at ease.
The room was very cosy and comfortable, it was hot and the room also had air conditioning. The kitchenette was well equiped and the bathroom was very clean.
The cleanliness, the kindness of the staff. very comfortable bed. Perfect location, close to Tube and Overground. Very nice and lively area. Loved my stay.
The room looks much bigger in the pictures than in reality and everything is a bit crammed ;-) It was supposedly quiet (facing the back and not the street) but if I kept the window open in the evening I could hear the (rather loud) noise from the pub garden downstairs. However, given the summer temperatures, I kept the window closed and the air conditioning on and had some very good nights sleep.
I loved the room, especially its great location, and I appreciated having a kitchenette.
It would have been preferable if the hotel provided packaged paper plates and utensils, as the ones offered were not very appealing. Additionally, I noticed a bloodstain on the bedding. Although it was changed later, it should never have been overlooked in the first place. I also think it would be better if housekeeping scheduled their cleaning for later in the morning. They attempted to clean between 9 and 10 am, which was inconvenient since I was either waking up or in the middle of getting ready to leave.
Rooms really well kitted out and thoughtfully designed
Attic room with broken aircon, boiling hot, clearly known about as additional fan placed in room. Very poor sleep
