- Excellent location! If you want to be in walking distance of Mayfair, Selfridges, Oxford St, and the shops in Marylebone, then this is the place for you! My first trip to London was amazing in large part due to my choice to stay at the Mandeville. After arriving my first activity was afternoon tea at the Reform restaurant in the hotel. Afternoon tea is a must in London and they did not disappoint. The next day was my shopping day where I enjoyed shopping without needing an uber or the tube. I walked 3 minutes from the hotel to Shot London coffee shop, then enjoyed shopping steps away at Selfridges, Zara, and more. The following day I walked from the hotel in the opposite direction (right) to Marylebone Village, which was beautiful! There I visited Daunt Books, a cute skincare store, and they had many other boutiques. From there I took a short walk to How Matcha Cafe, and then a short walk to the Wallace Collection museum. This museum is a must visit! After that I did have to take an Uber to my walking tour, but after that I enjoyed a nice Japanese restaurant for dinner just around the corner from the hotel! The hotel staff was friendly and I found the place to be clean. I believe the Mandeville was a better choice than the number 1 recommended London hotel on trip advisor due to its location and price. I’m so happy I found this hotel.
- The concierge was most impressive with wonderful recommendations for shopping, dinner, and breakfast. The location was perfect for meandering and touristing around the city. Always a taxi right out front on the curb for the longer tourist stops. An elevator for the Americans who over packed (me). Extensive bar, and beautiful breakfast buffet. Oh and the beds, beyond comfortable!!
Cons -
- carpeting and smell a little old, room would be a little small for a long stay or two people. Bathroom set up for one person only.
- Room was rather small but other than that it was fine.
- Room given was not what was pictured in Bookings.com. Very tight space. Left some valuables in a drawer and was not contacted if found.

Close to restaurant and markets
Small of bath in the room and lift need to make it silent which feel it very old w/o maintenance
Location and staff
Bed wasnt comfortable pillows not good and rooms werent soundproof
Location was perfect and the room was very clean and comfortable
LocationSmaller rooms were allocated at first, you have to ask for what you paid for.
The airconditioning and the hotel in general needs renovation. The aircondition doesnt heat as it should.
When I'm coming after a long travel, they stop me because the payment machine didn't work, and finally we paid by sending a link by mail
Staff are all great
Room although clean but small
the room was tiny and so noisy. i could hear everything. did not feel super clean and the one chair was very dirty. the front desk took forever to check me in and check me out.
i did not like this hotel
It is in the heart of Mayfair - spectacular location. Really easy to find, close to everything you could need. The staff were friendly. The food was great. My room was gorgeous. The lounge area was Instagramable! I loved it.
The staff
The furniture was old and the toilet doesn’t drain well, there water sound in the room I
The location is superb ! The rooms were quiet ( I was on the 7th floor ).
I was told the concierge helps with bags as there is no ramp . Nope, no one was looking so upon check in I carried my two bags on the stairs at the door . To be honest the rest of my stay I saw the concierge helping costumers , but not me , and I checked in at regular check in time . Upon check in , I wasn’t given any info and when I asked I was told , it’s written on the card ( how welcoming )!!!! The TV in the room has to beRESET every time , and when I asked the maintenance guy told me that’s the way it is ! The fridge was hot not cooling , and on my second day the maintenance guy told me it was unplugged !!! ( so no one checks on the rooms before guest checking in ?) !!! When house keeping was done , the coffee mugs were left dirty ! No one washed them !!! And the pods and water was not replaced ! So housekeeping is vaccum and bed sheet only ? And the pillows were waaay too soft for anyone either neck problems
Location, value, staff friendliness (particularly doormen/ concierge)
Nice staff, good quiet room, great locale.
Not a huge deal but the room heating system did not work during our stay in late, cool October. Not super comfy in room first night, though the maintenance man tried to help adjust thermostat. The staff did give us 2 good portable heaters for the remaining nights. I notice they had a heater at the ready at the front desk too.
Clean, great location and most important Lovely staff
Fantastic breakfast at this really nice, well situated hotel. It is perfect for the West End or the Marylebone/Harley Street area. I had to get to an operation nearby very early and it was perfect. I also did some great shopping on Marylebone High Street which is fantastic. Lovely staff. My room was just what I needed.
Bath was too small for me but I am very tall.
Very attractive updated hotel. Great staff, great location.
Great location, nice bar and restaurant.
