The spa was underwhelming. Consists of a steam room and treatment rooms. Very clean and quiet
The flowers
The breakfast charges were ridiculous. Buffet breakfast does not include coffee or eggs. This is just greedy.
an exceptional experience with a level of attention to detail from the staff you will not find in many hotels around the world; it’s one of the finest experiences you will have. Exceptional food, wine, and care.
The bed is comfortable but very soft. No doubt a fantastic bed, my preference is just a bit of a firmer mattress but certainly no the hotels fault
Exceptional hotel. Room, facilities and restaurants were excellent
Wonderful hotel and lovely food and drinks
Sadly not greeted as we arrived at the front by car. Door man on the phone. Ritz and savoy have more of an exciting arrival to make you feel special. The cocktail bar we had to move as air conditioning was right by our table so cold for November.
The staff are incredible - they discrete but friendly and chatty if you wish to talk. Very slick. We ate at the hotel restaurants during our stay, and the food was excellent - the Grill especially was fantastic. We really enjoyed the extensive and interesting wine list at the Grill. And I do think the Dorchester probably has the best pastry team of the London icon hotels. The rooms are lovely - just love the colour scheme used in the Dorchester rooms, elegant and peaceful.
The wine list in the Grill is superb, so comprehensive. Unfortunately in the Promenade the wine list is suprisingly limited - one can see they are catering more for the afternoon tea brigade (champagne). The Dorchester public spaces (restaurant/bars) are almost too busy - given it is an icon hotel with a constant flow of people coming for afternoon tea, it can feel rather busy. (More than once we got the very last chairs in the bar). As a guest you sometimes wish for a quiet guest-only lounge/bar....one afternoon we actually walked to the Fours Seasons hotel nearby for a quiet drink. Staying in an icon hotel like the Dorchester is fabulous but it does make one appreciate the smaller London boutique hotels (with no afternoon tea brigade) a bit more!
Best hotel in London by a long way. The welcome you get from the very friendly staff is fantastic. They make you feel very welcome and can’t do enough for you. The food is outstanding and the service is excellent. Special mention for David on the door and Luke & Mikel in the restaurant who go above and beyond to make you very welcome.
The hotel was nice and the room was clean comfortable and pleasant to stay in. The location of the hotel is convenient. Thanks to the reception team and special thanks to the young lady looking after the bar near reception (unfortunately I forgot her name) who is from the UK and cycles to work was exceptionally kind, professional and friendly. Dine in and room service teams are great.
The breakfast at the Grill was not up to the hotel's standards. I addition the service at the Grill during breakfast was also average. the lady taking orders could have been more friendly and she charged me more ..Im glad I had a look at the bill.. I had breakfast there once and did not return. The gym is ok but should be much be better given the rates we pay!
During my recent stay at The Dorchester, Gosia Sokolowska, the hotel manager, went above and beyond to make our visit exceptional. We were celebrating my sister’s 30th birthday, and she surprised us with an upgrade to a dream room of a lifetime. It was an unforgettable gesture, and I cannot thank her enough. This was genuinely one of my favorite hotel experiences ever. Everything—from the staff and the service to the food and the attention to detail—was flawless.Thank you, Dorchester, and thank you, Gosia, for making our stay so special. After this experience, I can confidently say that whenever I visit London again, I will only stay at The Dorchester.
Staff very friendly, room clean bed very comfortable.
Breakfast was very expensive for what was provided. Order in advance champagne for the room for when we arrived this was not done and I had to ask for it and so the email to confirm.
The staff were all very helpful
The hanging space in the wardrobe was too small and there were no external coat hooks
The breakfast choices were good and varied with healthy options too.The room is decorated with a lot of good taste and the bathroom looked like it had been recently renovated and looked great
Stunning traditional, historical hotel right on Hyde park so beautiful location to the park and attractions.
From exiting the taxi on arrival to leaving by taxi, the stay was absolutely amazing. Every staff interaction was a joy, the hotel is amazing, the service in the bars and restaurants first class. We used the swimming pool and saunas and same result of enjoying pure luxury indulgence. Superb location for London Xmas shopping and viewing the Xmas lights. We can't wait to visit again and experience The Dorchester hotel and service.
We love the Dorchester and everything about the hotel the staff are fantastic. The location is superb and the rooms are wonderful.
Our room and welcome for birthday was great.
Bad experience in restaurant had to send main course back due to cold plate and barely warm food. Unbelievable explanation from restaurant manager was food was cool as it was cold outside!!!!
Great Christmas atmosphere, lovely breakfasts and the staff remembering us and calling us by our names . Also the champagne in our room on arrival was a nice surprise.
Can’t think of anything
Elegant hotel
had to go to the desk 4 times to ask if room was ready, and prior to arrival had emailed twice with no reply.
