- The Goring is a beautiful hotel and the staff go above and beyond expectations. Our stay there was superb and the cleanness of the rooms is outstanding. Ms Daphnie on arrival was very welcoming and there was champagne on arrival in my room to celebrate my stay for my birthday. The doorman are very attentive and welcoming on arrival and the Michelin star restaurant is exceptional dining. The hotel has alot of history and really lives up to it's name.A wonderful pleasant stay.

Beautiful interiors, wonderful bedrooms, the bar is delightful and the staff exceptional. The best hotel in London!
Lovely old school hotel with wonderful staff.
Bedroom was small.
The Goring is quintessentially a great British establishment Old fashioned attentiveness with old fashioned values It’s the best if you want quality It’s the best if you want refinement It the best if you want the best Without being brash about it
We didn’t like the fact that we had to leave the GoringCould have stayed forever
Friendly professionalism from start to finish. A wonderful traditional elegant English hotel, I look forward to coming back.
A beautiful room and a well prepared breakfast SI even met a wonderful lady who invited me to Umbria
From cocktails in the lounge bar to lunch in the dining room, this hotel is absolutely superb. The room was both beautiful and comfortable. We had breakfast served in our room. The food was excellent and the service was also. Nothing was too much trouble for the Concierge team, and we really appreciated the convenience of our chauffeured trip to our West End show. You get what you pay for in this life, and our experience at The Goring will live in our memory forever. We hope to make this an annual treat from now on.
We could not fault our stay at The Goring.
Intimate compared to many of the top London hotels. The staff were amazing & caring (my mum is very poorly) and helped every way they could. The restaurant/food was amazing. And we loved the sheep !!!
There was nothing we didn’t like.
This hotel is extremely beautiful throughout. Staff are super friendly, efficient, welcoming and very eager to please in all departments. The service element is generally very strong at The Goring. A generous plate of fruit and bottle of house champagne was placed in my room prior to arrival as it was my birthday and this was well noted by the hotel. Room service breakfast was very efficient and prompt.
Room amenities were disappointing in several aspects. I had to ask for a fridge and one was duly provided. Air conditioning did not work well but only when I requested one, a fan was provided. There are no tea or coffee making facilities in the room. Only via reading online reviews did I discover again that you have to ask for this. It wasn’t offered on arrival. Again disappointing. I felt this should have been offered on arrival. Service for pre-dinner drink was slow in the bar lounge. Food here is very good however my main course at dinner had a fois gras element, which was not explained on the menu. It was only explained until after it had been served. I did not expect a “hot pot pie” to accompany a lamb dish to taste predominantly of fois gras. I was unable therefore, to make my own informed decision on ethical grounds, on this menu choice. Again disappointing. Room service staff appeared fixated on removing the breakfast tray from my room while I was preparing to pack and leave.
Decor location and staff. Loved pianist at cocktails. Really added something special
Bar food expensive and very slow (but friendly) service in conservatory (not in lounge bar which was superb perfect service)
The general ambiance of the hotel. Pleasant lounge and bar, nice restaurant and helpful and courteous staff.
Not much really.
Location
Very small bathroom, door staff was often busy talking to known clients rather than helping new clients. Orientation lacked details about dining reservations and the need to book days in advance. We could never dine there.
A great location and lovely hotel with friendly staff. Thank you
Great location, very good staff ,Relaxed , good food , comfortable, helpful.
Although our room was beautiful The bathroom steamed up and floor was slippery. Also very little storage for bathroom items .
Great staffWe were given an early check in which was appreciated
Room was far too small for a superior double!
We have stayed here before and again the stay was most enjoyable with exceptional staff and service. Dinner was excellent. Although the location is not quite as ideal for us compared to some other luxury hotels in London, in this district you can park your car for free right next to the hotel at the weekend from 13:30 on a Saturday.
A minor comment is that vegetarian sausages are not available if you like a full English Breakfast and don't eat meat, this seems to be in common with other 5 star hotels.
Always a favourite with our family, the Goring did not disappoint. Staff exceptional and every wish carried out with attention to detail. Loved sitting by the roaring fire having drinks and snacks in such a cosy and welcoming atmosphere. Staff at breakfast were first rate and the food was absolutely delicious, would definitely recommend.Comfy bed and lovely complementary fruit in the room.
Room on the small side and toiletries very strong scent that we did not like.
The room was fine, the staff were superb very helpful and friendly specifically the room staff
The restaurant meal was not up to expectations.
