The House of Toby

It was a short convenient walk from Kings Cross Station. There was a Costa Coffee shop nearby and a Coop as well. Very convenient location! Check in was easy and the person at checkin was very kind! Definitely would consider staying here again!

Strong smell of fresh freshener

There was always someone at the front desk, which was nice. Next to that the room was clean and since I was at the back of the property, I barely neared any city sounds.

The stairs are pretty winding and going up or down these stairs with a suitcase is a challenge. There’s no elevator.

Need instructions on the shower on how to change temp. Set fire alarm off. But issue was helped by the kind receptionist

The location was perfect for being close to Kings Cross. Staff were very friendly, welcoming and helpful. The hotel had lovely decor, very clean and comfortable beds. Rooms were a good size for what we needed it for which was literally for sleeping and showering. The room had a little dressing table, small hanging wardrobe, hairdryer and kettle facilities. You could leave your luggage upon arrival and departure which was useful if you needed to.Air con in the rooms. We slept with the window open and it was so quiet. Would definitely stay here again.

We didn’t dislike anything the only downside would be that there are a lot of stairs to walk up. We were on the third floor which didn’t affect us and we only had two small cases to carry but you might struggle if you have large, heavy cases. The guy on reception did check that we were ok with the third floor when we checked in and asked if we needed help with carrying luggage though which was lovely but maybe check before booking if you struggle with stairs.

Nicely designed hotel, with very comfortable room for short stays and very near St Pancras train station and amenities. The staff was very friendly and welcoming.

Staff were really friendly and helpful. Stayed in February half term and was excellent value for money.

The bathroom was very clean and modern but did smell musty. It didn’t effect our stay.

Good decor, great shower!

Staff on arrival (c. 22:45) seemed quite keen to pack us off to bed and close reception & bar area whicg was a little sad. Room very small, wouldn't have wanted to stay more than a couple of nights.

Room facilities were excellent. Small but everything necessary and in good condition. I was only staying over night because of attending a concert in the city which would have made getting to the railway station a little uncertain. The location of The Toby was ideal for getting to Euston early the next morning. I have definitely found a place I shall use again if I need to be in London late evening.

Helpful staff, free bag storage for both arrival and after leaving. Clean room, with comfy beds. Tea & Coffee in room.

Great location close to King's Cross, very polite employees

Room was on the ground floor in the backyard, extremely dark, very small. Supposed to be a double room, I was lucky that I was alone. For two persons the room would have been way too small. No chair in the room but a desk, which also made no sense. Some interiors quite worn and dated...
