- Very warm welcome from the people working there, I immediately felt at ease and was happy to stay!
- This is such a lovely find in London! There are so many brutal hostels in the city that are just uncomfortable, poorly managed money grabs. This property is homey, welcoming, friendly, and comfortable. The staff are very helpful. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable
- Friendly and supportive staff, regular cleaning of rooms, no noise issue, good breakfast options, good management.
Cons -
- I had an issue with the outlet in my bed. But no big deal I could charge elsewhere in the room.
- The cloth drying was out of order throughout 4 days of my stay ( a weekend in the middle may be the cause), the shower in the female dorm room does not work properly, the toilet of the room have some stain.
- Breakfast wasn’t available until about 15 mins after the time stated, as we needed to leave shortly after that it was a bit rushed.

Very close to Victoria Park and an easy 10 min walk from the tube station
Breakfast wasn’t available until about 15 mins after the time stated, as we needed to leave shortly after that it was a bit rushed.
The location is great, tube station and bus stops are super close, and multiple options are available for supermarkets and restaurants. Staff members are super helpful. It was a very comfortable stay, would definitely recommend it.
Breakfast: N/A, did not partake. There was a carton of eggs you could cook yourself on a real pan, which I think is nice compared to hotel "buffet" breakfasts with masses of cooked eggs. But the accompaniment was croissants, and I have to eat gluten-free, so I skipped the breakfast. I did make myself some cup noodles from down the road in the microwave. My room was quiet, and my bed was comfortable. Most importantly, it was on the bottom bunk, which I had requested. The front desk staff were unfailingly kind and welcoming.
The only thing I didn't enjoy, and the reason for the low-ish overall comfort rating, was that it was very, very cold throughout the room, and particularly the bathroom, which felt like the same temp as outside (literally freezing). Once under my comforter and asleep I was warm enough, but any time I was awake and out of bed, I was shivering. Note that it is winter time, so it's to be expected. (I will note that there was one very warm room, the kitchen. If I hadn't needed the sleep, I'd have just hung out in there.) I thought it was a very decent place that I'd visit again, but only during warmer weather!
Clean and comfortable bed. Great location. Nice staff.
Smelly and dirty kitchen.
Great location, only a very short, flat walk to Mile End Tube Stations. Coop close by plus London Coffee for a nice Veg Samosa and Cappuccino at a good price,
The brown carpet made seeing the stairs at night hard, but that’s only a problem for old folks.
Good location, good staff, nice atmosphere
Friendly staff, provided a clean room with plenty of luggage space. Well worth the money
The street noise was loud, but to be expected in most places in London
The hostel was very clean and had really comfortable beds. The curtains on the beds to give more privacy are a great idea. The room had lots of space. The staff was super helpful and helped me find something I had forgotten there. Totally recommended!
Friendly staff, great public transportation connections and a warm and cozy area.
Unfortunately the duvet covered in plastic was a bit uncomfortable for me. Otherwise everything was great.
Excellent location, nearby there's a National Express stop for a super easy transfer to/from Stansted, a tube station, grocery shops, cafe's and restaurants. The hostel was clean and I felt safe during my stay. No bedbugs. The kitchenette had everything I needed and more. Staff was friendly. I had no issue with either staff members or other guests.Overall it was very comfortable for the price. I would most likely choose this hostel again if I travel solo to London on a budget in the future.
The cupboard by the bed wouldn't close when charging with an adapter. If I'm staying here again I will probably buy a UK socket compatible charger to avoid this issue and be able to charge my phone throughout the night. The top bunk was a bit wobbly, even when someone was walking in the room without touching the bed.
Very clean, bed was already made, quiet (not a party hostel). Plenty of showers (never had to wait!). Staff was nice. Lots of public transport options within walking distance.
Quite easy to get into central London (30min) but very far from Heathrow airport (this reason alone will keep me from staying here again although the place is nice). Hard to charge my phone as the adaptor didn't fit in the locker. Having the locker directly next to the bed is not very comfortable.
The curtains on the beds. Finally, that rare hostel in UK which has it. It's a game changer. Rooms are clean and warmFriendly and helpful staffClose to metro
Small kitchen
the location was good close to Mile end station.
the hostel is ok but needs a little refurbishment here and there.
In room shower facilities even though these wouldn't be sufficient if the dorm is fully booked.
Beds were comfortable but the bedding itself had a very plastic feel to it. Center of London is quite a while by tube. Area itself is not super nice but did not feel unsafe.
I don’t like it
Old building, bathroom in room with no window, no ancillary services, I asked the staff for information, they could not answer, no organisation for going out in groups
The staff was very friendly and paid attention to detail. The place was clean and was easily accessible via the tube, just a short walk away from it. The bed was comfortable and the room had an ensuite washroom which was quite good. There was enough space inside the room and enough privacy too. The staff was a plus. They make sure you are well looked after.
The power socket box in the bed cabin can be slightly smaller.
Very pleasant staff , nice and clean and modern, cosy tv room, outside benches ,ample kitchen facilities, comfortable and clean bunk beds
A bit more air conditioning in the dorm as with 12 men sleeping it was very stuffy in the morning, no air, but warm.Perhaps it was busier than usual.
