About
Offering a restaurant and free Wi-Fi access, St Paul Hotel is a stylish boutique hotel just a 5-minute walk from Hammersmith Tube Station and Kensington Olympia Exhibition Centre. Formerly a school, this 19th-century building was built by the same architect as the National History Museum. All the rooms at St Paul Hotel are elegantly decorated, and feature tea/coffee-making facilities, a private bathroom, bathrobes and free toiletries. Other amenities include satellite TV, a minibar, a hairdryer and a safe. Melody, the on site restaurant, provides a creative British menu and an extensive wine list. Guests can also enjoy informal lunches and snacks in the lounge bar, with elegant and romantic surroundings. This 4-stars hotel has an interesting story, as it was the base from where Winston Churchill planned the D Day Landings during the World War II back in 1944. Both Barons Court and West Kensington Tube Stations are a 10-minute walk away. The emblematic Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens are just 10 minutes away by bus.

- Looks much nicer from the outside than the inside. Rooms are dated and basic. Location good.
- Charming. Staff were very professional; welcoming and helpful. Our room was on the ground floor and very comfortable and equipped as one would expect.
- Great location and a really nice hotel Lovely staff though especially the woman in charge of breakfast. Nice room and good value.
Cons -
- We were given a room in the loft which stunk of sewage. They gave us a new room and the bathroom was covered in hair. Bed wasn’t comfortable at all and you couldnt control temperature of the room yourself - you had to call up reception for them to change it. Very odd
- Only let down by two issues; there is no lounge area just a lobby which was not comfortable and the Melody restaurant is good for breakfast but for dinner is basically a chips with everything ho hum kinda place.

Beautiful room, fabulous building in a lovely location. Really comfortable ❤️
There was nothing we didn’t like
Big comfy bed.Shower and bath combo.Very clean.Pleasant staff.Coffee machine.Free bottled water and fridge.Air conditioning.Plenty of toiletries.
I ordered the Eggs Benedict for breakfast, but I wasn't impressed with the quality of the ham. Very poor quality, cheap supermarket stuff which was a shame and spoilt it for me.
This hotel is such a hidden gem and great value for a quick London stay. We didnt eat there but the rooms and interior were unexpectedly great for the cost. We booked a few months in advStaff helpful and room quiet despite the main road location
I always stay at St Paul’s when I travel to London. It is in an excellent location, about 10 minutes walk to the Underground and staff are always welcoming. The hotel is quiet and relaxed, always clean and feels safe as a solo traveller.
I had a tiny issue with a lukewarm shower this morning. I reported it to reception and staff were apologetic and said they would look in to it. Everything else was spot on.
Spacious room and bathroom, great whisky selection
Wonderful hotel but the ‘security deposit’ discombobulated me. I’ve never had to pay £100 upfront when checking-in. I am not entirely sure what this London practice is.
Great location. The room was comfortable, and we had all we needed. The hotel has a huge whiskey collection, which was an added bonus. Also, it is in a great location close to parking and public transport.
Terrific staff. Excellent evening meal. We ate there purely for convenience. We ordered sea bass and it was really very good.Nice bathroom.
Polycotton linen. Lumpy pillows. Slightly difficult to control heating
This is a fantastic hotel, really lovely decor, great room size, a good location and a really reasonable price, would definitely recommend!
If there's anything then maybe I'd say the bathroom could have done with a bathmat but that's really my only comment!
Had the most amazing newly refurbished room, lovely facilities and the staff are all friendly and helpful - feels like a home from home for us
The hotel as immaculate. Our room was one of the best I have stayed in it was not only large it was very clean and well maintained Breakfast was very tasty with the choice of a full English or continental with plenty of coffee served by very friendly staff. They had a very well stocked whisky bar with nearly a thousand different bottles.
There was nothing to dislike
The staff were very accommodating, went above and beyond for all requests that had when asked for room service and extra towels
The bed was hard and a little uncomfortable, was two single beds pushed together
We had a twin room on the ground floor - it was a great size and a huge shower so very happy. We didnt have the breakfast. The no. 9 bus stop right outside the hotel takes you straight into Kensington so really handy for the shops and restaurants.
I appreciate it's probably in line with the larger hotels but the breakfast price seemed a little high for a smaller hotel, especially when you consider you had to pay extra for tea i think (coffee was included) and also pay a service charge on top. So it was almost £20 with all that added up which seems a little high.
The room was perfect for my overnight stay. Very quiet, comfortable and exceptionally clean. I will definitely be using this as my base for business trips from now on.
The location was ideal for us and easy access to public transport. Rooms and bathroom facilities were good and plenty of space. Breakfast choice was very good. Plenty of choice on lunch menu too. Staff all very friendly.
The hotel is charming. I have stayed before and preferred my room previously which was on the garden side. This stay was in the Annexe which was very noisy with road noise.
I didn't like how noisy my room was in the Annexe.
The place was lovely, but what really set St. Paul's Hotel apart was the incredible staff. Hammersmith was lovely, also. If I'm ever in West London again, I will very gladly return to St. Paul's Hotel.
What could have been better... Not much. I suppose the property is very slightly run down, it's showing it's age. But this is also a positive as for me it felt real, and I translated that as charm.
