Cons -
- saw a mouse in room 1st floor. was moved to 3rd floor - also saw mouse in it
- Our room was far worse than it appears online. The bathroom is barely big enough to stand in. There were spiders everywhere. There was a leak in the hallway leading to our room that we mentioned to the staff and they very obviously did not care at all.
- Wifi does not work. When I asked the receptionist, he told me that is usually the case. The room also had a musty smell.

Unfriendly!!!!not clean!!! Very small and high price. Do not go there!!
Good location. Polite staff.
Run down hotel. No shampoo or soap in shower. No iron! Got a clean bed to sleep in, not much more. More like a hostel than a hotel.
Location and the staff are pleasant
The room needs renovations I think
Very good location, a few minutes to the British Museum. Very friendly and helpful staff.
There should be more attention to cleaning.
I want to formally report that the room I received was in extremely poor and unacceptable condition. It was worn out, unclean, and there were constant disturbing noises. The bed was dirty, with hair on it and a bad smell. The windows were old, could not be opened, and there was no ventilation.Access to the room was very difficult, through stairs and corridors like a maze.Even the internet signal does not reach the room, which made the stay even worse. These conditions caused me serious discomfort and ruined my experience.I therefore demand a refund of half of the amount paid as fair compensation for the unacceptable service.
Actually nothing
Appalling. I have no idea how this hotel is still listed on Booking.com.Thannet Hotel Annex was a complete disaster. The room was dirty, neglected, and disgusting – there were dead insects on the bathtub and windowsills, a filthy carpet, a moldy wardrobe, a dirty toilet and bathtub, and even a water tap without a handle. The entire room smelled awful and it was obviously not cleaned in months. On top of that, I had strong suspicions of bedbugs, so I left immediately. The staff were completely useless and didn’t offer any solution – no apology, no help, nothing. We had to book a different hotel last-minute, which was much more expensive. And to make it worse, Booking.com refunded me less than half of what I paid. No proper compensation, just empty promises of credits – which never arrived. The pictures on Booking.com are completely misleading. This hotel is a scam. It should be removed from the platform immediately. If you value your money, your time, and your basic hygiene, stay far, far away from this place.
it was a bed for the night.
the sockets didn't work in my room so couldn't watch the TV or charge my phone, there was no toilet roll, the showers were an absolute joke.pillows were really horrible! ?
Location, location, location! Good value for money, very basic but for a one night stay to see a gig and have a night on the town perfect! Clean sheets, friendly staff a great place to crash out at the end of the night. Not bells and whistles but we always come back because it is so close to loads of venues and the service is good and the price is great for this part of town! ?✨
Heating was a bit high but some people like it warm so would be good for them.
Nice location, good to reach, quiet. Excellent value for money.
Rooms are a bit run down but it didn’t bother me too much. They’re clean, bed very comfy.
Was given a room that was full of bad smell and then was given a hostel room of 4 beds. Please treat us like human
Location
A great place for a short stay, perfect location, clean room, clean bathroom, friendly staff—what more could you want for this price in London?

The location is amazing, very close to restaurants so finding food and having meals was easy. The buildings were pretty and a nice view from the window. The staff were very nice and friendly.
I wasn’t expecting a small shower room, wasn’t to most comfortable but decent for the price.
Location
Daytime receptionist was rude, acted like we were a hindrance. Night time receptionist was more polite
The staff were friendly and helpful
I know you pay for what you get, but the rooms are filthy, thick dust everywhere and unclean. When you run the tap there was a stink of sewerage coming from the drain! We paid £79 which is cheap, but you'd think it would have the basics of cleanliness
Didn’t stay for longer than 5 minutes
Walking in you smell the smell like pee, rude receptionist. They gave us a top floor room walking in it smelled gross it was dirty and not like the pictures. We immediately checked out and went to a different hotel.
Value for money. Super simple and nice. Just get one of the rooms with the en-suite bathrooms. The staff are super helpful.
Perfect stay for short transit journeys but wouldn't go for longer trips.
Clean but dated. Staff very helpful.
Beds very uncomfortable
