    Pros +

    • The location is excellent and the hotel is very clean. However this is the only good thing about this hotel.
    • The central location mainly.
    • It is simple and effective. Comfortable and practical.

    Cons -

    • We had no water for the first 3 days. So we couldn't even take a shower. There is no reception in the hotel, so you have to call them or text them. Most of the time they don't answer or ignore you. On the second day they sent someome to look into the water issue. First he told me as there are a lot of people washing at the same time. Then he told me I will see the pump. The guy disappeared and after texting and calling them several times, they told me it has been fixed. Nothing happened!!! Third day without water, third day of not showering!! After calling them a thousand times, they sent a plumber in the evening and It was partially "fixed" in the evening. Lastly, there is no lift in the "hotel". We were given a room on the top floor. After walking around London, the last thing you would look forward is going up 50 flight of stairs.
    • The single room does not offer a full private bathroom; only the shower and sink are located inside the room. To use the toilet, you have to go out into the hallway, which was not mentioned in the description. Additionally, the water pressure was very poor, and the water temperature was not warm enough, making it difficult to shower comfortably. The room was also quite noisy due to the building's timber frame structure and single-glazed windows. I ordered room service, but the fish and chips were extremely oily, which was very disappointing. No staff in the premises and they also ask you for your ID on Whatsapp which is not very professional or safe.
    • The shower at the 3rd floor took a lot of time to heat up, and the water pressure was unreliable. Sometimes the water would stop pouring. Sometimes the temperature would drastically drop. Not a nice experience.

Room was what you paid for. Good price if you are literally looking for a comfortable bed only.Contact from site manager was good and allows you to drop luggage off early.Must send across a copy of your ID via whatsapp before they give you access to your room.

My toilet was not located in my room, but rather in the hallway. Required a key to unlock the toilet and then the same key to lock the toilet on the other side. No soap in the 'toilet', but does include a working sink. The room did include a shower cubicle and a sink as part of the bedroom (no seperation door). The shower was extremely compact If you are a larger person, you will struggle to fit. TV was included with no channels. Wifi TV so could sign in to watch netflix if chosen.Bedroom had 0 Hooks/Draws/Cuboards, so can't hand any of your clothes/coats anywhere aside from the floor.Toothpaste stain on carpet next to sink, doesnt give a clean vibe to the room nor does the general aesthetic.Thin walls and windows so can hear everything. Not for the light sleeper.

    Clean, good location

There is a line from a song by Slim Dusty, “ There nothing so lonesome morbid or drear than to stand in the bar of a pub with no beer “ here “ There nothing so miserable lousy or naff than to stay in a hotel without any staff” or coat hangers, teaspoons, water or milk. Also very noisy at 2.00am and no one to control the situation. A once lovely hotel spoiled by greed

    Never again, unresponsive host

Our room was not as described. If you’re in the basement don’t expect your room to look anything like the images on here. The room was filthy; carpet needed a deep clean, the walls were covered with marks and scuffs. Towels had holes in them from years of use. The sink/toilet situation was diabolical - no way you could get washed in that tiny cupboard. To top it off, the room stank of rotten eggs. We felt very at unease at the property too, especially as when we walked into the building, a guy asked us what room we were in, he didn’t introduce himself to us. Very sketchy and we felt very uneased. The room we booked did not look anything like the pictures you’ve provided to booking dot com either. Very disappointed and frustrated. Have contacted both booking dot com and the property (which have ignored my messages and booking) about a full refund as we did not stay due to the facilities being what they were.

    Beautifully clean, good mattress

Disappointed, used to be wonderful, now no staff, no coat hangers, no tea spoon, no water, no soul

    7veroPosted on: 1-19-2026

The location is great. In a good area. Close enough to all the major places. The price is really good for london.

The room only had a fan which I needed to turned off because of the horrible noise it made. The walls are extremely thin you can hear everything. Keep that in mind if you’re a light sleeper

Fantastic location- a short walk to Oxford Street and Hyde Park. The beds were very comfortable and they were happy for me to store my luggage on my last day.

The shower and basin both blocked very quickly and although I asked someone to fix the issue it did not get resolved. There was a TV in the flat and whilst I appreciate it wasn’t listed in the facilities available it was very frustrating that we couldn’t actually access any channels. Again I did ask for help but got no reply.

location was perfect for our need.room was comfortable and large . shower room good.

room needs more storage, hanging hooks for coats, and towels.the heating was a problem - could not turn off one of the rads.

    Room was well heated

A couple of months prior to my stay, I visited the hotel in person as a local neighbour and was personally shown a specific room. This room was presented to me as the one I would be allocated and flagged against my booking.com reference, and this assurance played a key role in my decision to book. However, upon arrival I was instead given a significantly smaller room which was not the room I had been shown or promised. The bathroom was too small and didn't have even any hooks to hang towels. I appreciate that availability can sometimes change, but this discrepancy was neither communicated to me in advance nor explained at the time of check-in. When I emailed the hotel I didn't get any response to my official complaint which is very disappointing. To this day, I still have not received any response or explanation.

Nothing was up to mark. They did not have water in shower.

No water in shower. Room was given on top floor. No lift. No person at reception. No help. Staircase to the room was so narrow that even a person without any luggage could not fit in. Worst experience. Zero value for money. They charged a bomb. Bo help from the host what so ever.

Travel cancelled immediately after booking but the hotel still charged me full stay. Unacceptable

    The location

I don’t generally write bad reviews but this property is very disappointing. Very bad value for money. The check in process is strange : I received a WhatsApp asking for my ID to get the details for the hotel access. There is no reception. I had a room in the basement with a window with a view to a wall. Mold in the wall. Small toilet with a tiny sink. Not even a chair to put stuff on. So I had to keep things in my suitcase. The first night the water was cold when I asked the “manager” he told me it’s working. In fact you have to let the shower running for 10-15 minutes to get hot water. The cleaning was limited to emptying the bins. There à was a smell of sewage in the room since it was in the basement. The linen and towels don’t smell great neither. My son had another room but there was a leakage in the toilet and I had to text the manager 3 times to be fixed.

Super clean and very straightforward. Excellent in terms of helpfulness and ease of access and efficiencyLocation was excellent

Nothing - if I was being super critical tea and coffee supplies were on basic side and we had a broken blind. But neither of these things affected how happy we were with things

Management arrived with extra pillows when I said I had surgery was very attentive superb value for money and in a perfect location - would highly recommend

    good location.

Although the hotel is well located, the service was terrible. We booked three double rooms and, upon arrival, we were told that only one of them was available and that the other two would be apartments located in different buildings. As we were traveling as a family, this was a problem for us, and no one offered us a solution. The rooms were dirty, the kitchen utensils could not be used as they were also dirty, we found a dead cockroach on the building staircase, the door frames were broken and in poor condition… We stayed for four nights and the towels and bed linen were not changed, nor were we offered room cleaning or housekeeping. The shower drain did not work properly and the water backed up. Overall, although the location is indeed very good, it was a disappointment and a very, very bad experience. We will not return under any circumstances; not recommended at all.

    Pleasant

The check in routine was very poor. We were requested to provide ID, of which we did, however the check in details were not passed on after this, we couldn't access the property and when we were eventually let in we had to stand around whilst a lady contacted people to work out where we were stopping. The room was lower ground, which was okay, however I shared with my daughter in a twin room and the shower opened straight into the small hall, clearly visible to all in the room! Absolutely no privacy whatsoever.
