Althoff St James's Hotel & Club London

Location is good.

Bathroom is very small. Even that’s fine but it leaked a bad sewage smell, maybe leaking pipe ?. My bed was a few feet away and I could smell the bathroom all the nights even with door closed. I complained to the staff but they were not attentive.

Bathroom was so small and the bath tub needs a better enclosure. It's impossible to shower without wetting the floor.

our initial room wasn't great (obstructed views) so they switched us out after 2 days.

The staff was great! From the doorman to the cleaners, the entire staff.

The size of the room is small but that is to be expected in London.

amazing location, close to everything and still very quiet and peacefuldelicious breakfast in a cosy roombedroom not big but absolutely well thought with a very nice bathroom with amazing products from Penhaligon's(little remark: a little difficult not to put water on the floor when showering in the bath, this could be optimized)perfect service and very very nice team at the reception and the restaurant, even speaking French very well

First of all, let me say that the hotel staff were perhaps the best I have ever met. They were all very attentive and helpful, and I thank them all very much.However, before coming to this hotel, you should know that you shouldn't expect a large 5-star hotel. It's a small, elegant boutique hotel. On the first day, the room they gave us as a deluxe room was on the lobby floor, and the bathroom was so small that it was impossible for two people to move around at the same time. When I said I didn't like the room at all, they said they could change it the next day, and I thank them for that. The room they gave us was also small, but definitely not as small.On the last day, the heating system in that room broke down, and since it was after 8 PM, they couldn't fix it; they only gave us a radiator. Then we managed somehow.The hotel has only one elevator, and it's incredibly old; I was very afraid it would break down every time. If you are looking for a small, clean boutique hotel, this is very suitable for you, but if you are looking for a beautiful 5-star hotel in Mayfair, this is definitely not the place.

The room was adequate for our two night stop over , but we felt for value for money it did not meet our expectations .Wonderful place , great staff, fab location ,but expensive for the size and quality of room .
