Pros +
- The staff here is amazing. Friendly, helpful and gracious. Matthew and Lily stood out and went out of their way on a couple of occasion, which took me by suprise and which I was very grateful for! It's such a relief when staff are proactive and make things easy for guests. Honestly, everyone was very welcoming, kind and accommodating.I liked the beds in my last room. They were a bit bigger and had shields for privacy and darkness. I also liked that shower + bathroom were separate. The location is perfect, perfect for exploring Kensington, Knightsbridge, Notting Hill, the parks and museums. Everything is right on the doorstep. Even Whole Foods is a short walking distance away. It's a huge plus!I appreciated the free tea + coffee. The kitchen seating area is spacious and nice to eat in. The lounge is equally spacious and relaxing and available until late. I loved that one of the guests played the piano.
- We were a group of 8. Everything went perfectly well, good accomodation, bathroom were ok (clean).
- It was close to where i needed to be that day
Cons -
- I didn't like the state of the showers in any of the rooms I stayed in. I wish they'd be kept cleaner.Gosh, it would be awesome to have an elevator! ?I didn't use the iron + ironing board, but was told that I shouldn't venture to due to mineral buildup on the iron.
- Everything. The place is falling apart and they should hire friendlier staff

Friendly staff and good place.
Laundry not working and things getting stolen.
The place was very clean, great kitchen and common room, comfy beds, clean bathrooms. Location is great, safe, and near some really wonderful museums. I would definitely stay here again.
The staff was mostly nice but there was one guy who worked there who seemed like a manager (tall, thin guy with tats and piercings) who was very condescending and outright rude to some employees and guests, right out in the open. Good vibes at this hostel, but he definitely brings it down.
Conveniently located for the RGS and also 10 minutes walk to Kensington. Easy to access from both Victoria bus station (foot or on bus) and St Pancras train station (tube or bus).Well equipped kitchen with plenty of seating space. Female only dorms are good.
There are no lifts so this is something to be aware of if you struggle with stairs.
Great location, great building. Hot water and good pressure in shower.
I only liked the location
The shower wasn't working properly, the water was running very hot at times. I complained to reception but they didn't seem very interested in resolving the problem. The beds were not very comfortable, a little hard. I paid for breakfast, but didn't eat anything; the kitchen didn't look good. Finally, I didn't like the overall atmosphere of the hostel.
Nice place, good location, clean enough. Friendly staff
All good. So far the best hostel I stayed in London
The staffs were great
No lift, which my fault didn’t check. But the hotel itself needs a huge facelift. The stairs leading to 4 floors were very narrow. Hard to get with a suitcase Mattress were old and like weird. I actually didn’t stay I got in and out in 1 hour. Can’t judge the place if the stay would be okay it was just the fact that was very old and weird room.
The location is great. Good value for money for one night is just what you need
I would prefer a slightly bigger bed, but I understand it is a hotel so it is ok. Maybe the carpet in the common areas could be replaced as it looks dirty.
Great location, lovely that there's an all female room available, luggage store room prior to check-in. Staff 247! It was 40 degree when I visited and a fan was provided in the room which was literally needed. Whilst I didn't use most of the other spaces because I was out all day, it was spacious with lounges, places to sit, eat, and cook...
Charges for luggage storage on day of check-out, especially for it just being a store room where it can get taken from easily as it's not on an individually locked basis - so you just have to hope for the best you don't get robbed.
The location is very good, snd the staff is really helpful and they are almost available 24/7. It’s very clean and do calm if you would like to work
Good location, close by of Hyde Park and the subway. Nice vibe at the hostel. There is no a/c and I had really hot days in London, not usual anyway.
There is no A/C
Great location and well-kept hostel near Hyde Prk
It was a great hostel with friendly staff and clean facilities - good and comfortable. Great value.
No lift - but that's not unusual for old London property.
Efficient, clean, good beds and safe .
Nice location near public transport, shared bathroom with the room
Room was a bit small and if you have trouble with stairs or have a lot of luggage be careful as the hostel has 4 stories and no elevator
