Our TV in our rooms is not a smart TV and has no American shows or HBO, etc, etc. I can?t even get access to my Netflix or you tube channel

Basic rooms, beautiful bar and waiting area. Yummy breakfast.

Room was basic, no view if facing the back, delivery trucks were noisy in the early morning.

Perfect location. Close to train station. Nice and efficient staff. Comfortable room and quiet.

Upon arrival the carpet floor of the corridor has not been cleaned.

Convenient location

Room was tired. Air con didn’t work - couldn’t turn off and room was cold. Draw runners not working and draw fell out. Bathroom very tired. Bath chipped in several places. Dirty tile in bathrooom. Bath not draining properly.

Had to walk all the way around the building to get to the lift, while i was sleep the cleaners entered the room twice and woke me up. I was so scared that someone will come in and take my stuff i couldn’t go back to sleep

Deposit taken, not explained at time of booking, still pending in my bank account which is annoying. Overpriced to what they offer. Breakfast lady was rude, would take us to a table that was not properly cleaned, would not bring us coffee saying it’s self service. For the price you pay you’d expect better service.

Disappointing

Huge disappointment!We chose this hotel based on reviews that mentioned a good breakfast… and this is where the problem starts. The hash browns, bacon and sausages were dry, the scrambled eggs were clearly made from powder instead of fresh eggs, and the “ketchup” looked more like a cheap pink jelly than real ketchup. The cucumbers and tomatoes looked as if they had been cut the night before rather than freshly prepared in the morning. I definitely would not recommend the breakfast at this hotel.As for the room – it was clean, but there was no toilet brush, so if you value being able to maintain proper cleanliness after using the toilet, that might be an issue

The property was nice and clean and I was super excited to stay here.

On arrival booked for breakfast the following morning. The next day found out the hotel had took out an extra £200 from my mums account, when spoken to reception was informed this was because the system thinks you had to pay for a room even thought I had already paid. The manager did not want to come and speak to us at first and then just said you need to use the same card as the booking for breakfast which would have been fine but no one told us this. The manager then reassured this would go back in the same day however did not until 5 days later.

Friendly staff, and great rooms (especially for the price and location). Had everything you needed in the room, including tea and coffee facilities, mini fridge, bath & shower and extras like an iron etc. Perfect for a nights stay. Loved the cookie on checking in too :)

The doubletree just isn’t what it used to be a few years ago. Nothing seems to work smoothly, from being sent to a room not ready for check-in, having to go to reception with my bags to ask for another room, to me key not working twice and having to go to reception to sort, no shower gel to in the room..it’s become an expensive premier inn

It was very local. Check in was easy and the staff were very accommodating.

It was all very desirable.

It was honestly one of the best hotel experiences I’ve ever had — super comfortable, excellent service, and everything was just perfect from start to finish.

To be honest, everything was great except for one experience at the bar. The lady working that day wasn’t very welcoming or communicative. She wasn’t rude, but she didn’t smile or explain the options when we asked, and the interaction felt a bit cold. It didn’t match the otherwise excellent service at the hotel.
