The room was clean and beautiful. The ladies at the check-in desk were so helpful answering all of our questions.

The concierge was a little curt.

All the staff was so accommodating and amazing. They made us feel so special!

The only thing we didn't care for was the accessibility room shower didn't drain well and the floor would flood.

Hotel employee checked us in and was just exceptional. A credit to the staff. But really everyone there was also wonderful. We had a great time there. Location excellent as well.

This is a classic up market London hotel, the sort of place you only go to if you want a real treat - in this case a birthday. It was also great from a location point of view - 10 mins walk from Charing Cross station and right next door to the Aldwych theatre, which was part of the birthday treat. There was nothing to not like. Breakfast was absolutely first class.

The facilities show signs of age and needs repair, particularly the corridors to guest rooms.Difficulty communicating with housekeeping despite requests made through the front desk for an additional bath towel and caffeinated coffee for the room brew.

Small bar no restaurant.

We had a suite, it was lovely. It gave us access to the private lounge. This was fabulous, because it’s a lovely place to relax for a drink, a snack, and breakfast. We loved it.

I struggled to get a VAT receipt for my stay, in the end Booking.com had to contact reception directly to insist that a receipt be provided. Staff at reception had been insisting that Booking.com would provide the receipt, which I knew they wouldn’t do!
