Apollo Hotel London Near Hyde Park and Paddington Station

Close to underground stations , Chinese and fast food restaurants.

Bad amenities. No tv remote control, no chair or table, no kettle and cups. Barely seen staff on the front desk.

Basic comfort, stayed for 4 nights only cleaned one, no soap but it was given after asking three times. Complicated key door using. No water kettle. First time and wont be back or recommend it for anyone!

Clean room, convenient location

Elevator was broken so we had to walk up a separate set of stairs, the stairwell smelled like feces, they gave me a room right in front of the stairwell door which slammed shut so I was constantly disturbed by people going in and out at all hours of the night, housekeeping staff were loud and talkative in the morning and the room door provided almost no sound proofing, toilet flush was faulty, housekeeping did not make up room despite request. Will never book here again.

Great location and reasonably clean

The lift was broken and we had been booked on the 4th floor - we had 2 large suitcases! They were able to offer us a room on the 1st floor but were informed that it had no window, this wasn't ideal but we accepted and they switched the rooms. Despite stating that there is air conditioning in the rooms the unit in the room we were given was disconnected and didn't work so there was no way to let in any fresh air or control the temperature so it got very stuffy and warm at night which made it impossible to sleep well. The rooms are also tiny and so much smaller than they look in the photos! Weirdly they also do not give guests hand towels - only a bath mat and bath towels. The stairs to the rooms are outside the reception so we had to enter the building through a separate entrance on the street. This door was not secured in anyway and it honestly felt like anyone could just walk in off the street. The smell in the stairwell was horrific - it smelt like something had died and they had attempted to cover the smell with very strong air freshner.

The hotel is located in a nice area. A short walk from Kensington gardens and the Princess Diana Memorial Playground

While the hotel was clean and cozy the shower was a bit small and difficult to move around in

There was no breakfast .The room and bathroom were very clean.

The room was much smaller than I expected.But since we didn’t spend much time there it was adequate.It was hard to move around and would be perfect for one person.

The location was excellent. The staff were very helpful and the cleaning was very good.

The room was on the small side and a fridge would have been good.

The room was great for a solo traveller for a few nights. It was spotlessly clean and modern. Of course, it’s not a big space, but no relatively affordable hotel room in London is big…

The singular negative: the pillows were just horrible. They were completely flat, and I had to ask for a second one, which was reluctantly provided and in any case totally flat as well. Note: no hand towel is provided, and the staff reluctantly provided a second large towel, noting environmental reasons.

The location is okay, good area but noisy street that wakes you up all night, I was exhausted when I woke due to being woken to and it’s a shame because the bed was great and the rooms are pristine and well maintained

The walls are paper thin so you get woken up by any noise in other rooms, and if you are facing the street like I was…be prepared to get woken up at 7:30am with deliveries to the shops below making so much noise it’s unbearable.

Everything was clean the place was good and the service was so so excellent

Room and shower a little bit small

Shower cabin was extremely small and leaky, bathroom floor a mess after multiple people showered.

Location is great.

The quality of the mattress is one of the worst I've ever seen. The space in a single room is insulting. It shouldn't be allowed to build such small rooms.

The staff were very friendly. The location was great. There are two underground stations nearby which was great because one of the lines was undergoing maintenance so it was closed.

I booked the smallest room which was fine for the price but didn’t have a window making it feel very claustrophobic. I would definitely get a bigger room if I stay again.

Location excellent. So many restaurants, 3 grocery stores, 2 tube stations all within 5 minutes.

The room is extremely small. Basically just fits the bed. We’re below average height/weight, so okay with the shower. But can imagine it would be very tight for others!

I liked the location of the property, it was very close to everything, especially the metro stations which made the entire city very accessible. The staff were very friendly with us and very helpful. The room got cleaned on the daily which we also appreciated alot.

The room was way too small, no place to put our luggage or walk in the room. Ive stayed in a fair share of small hotels but this is by far the smallest. This is also the first ever hotel were toiletries were not provided, i.e. tooth brushes and such, as well as no bottled water provided in the room. Ive been provided such amenities in lower star hotels, hence why i was expecting better experience here.

We loved the cleanliness and the convenient location: two tube stations were close by, there were plenty of cafés for breakfast and easy commuting, and our room was cleaned every day during our stay

We opted for triple room for 3 people felt a bit conjusted and bathroom was too small which i felt it’s not value for moneyOtherwise it was good
