Many things - I told them I am a Marriot Bonvoy Gold Elite status member and requested an early checkin. They could not accomodate. They room had a tiny windo and bathrooms made a loud sound when flushing or showering

The design and common areas are beautiful. That’s it.

Serious maintenance and safety issues. The room door repeatedly got stuck and I needed staff to open it or let me out. Strong paint fumes made it impossible to sleep. Bathroom was not clean (hairs present). Extremely loud mechanical noise from the toilet and also from the shower, not disclosed at check-in. Staff later confirmed they were aware of these issues but still assigned the room. Completely unacceptable for the price.

We stayed ~8 months ago, and unfortunately, we encountered some issues that we were surprised to find unresolved during our recent visit.One of the two elevators was out of service 8 months ago during our previous stay, We were surprosed to see that the Same elevator is still not working, ~8 months later! This often resulted in long wait times, which was quite inconvenient and frustrating.Additionally, on both of the mornings we stayed, our room was not cleaned at all. We had to call the Recepation and remind the staff to clean it which was rather disappointing. Given that the cost of staying is over $1000 a night, we did not expect this level of service.to point that they gave 50BP comp, which is nice, but not reflecting the cost or the expecation from this level of hotel.

Beautifully restored historic building and elegant hotel with modern touches. Customer service outstanding and rooms clean, spacious and comfortable with all requirements catered for. Scent of lobby and wash products very good.

Beautiful hotel, staff were exemplary, breakfast delicious, our wedding party were well catered for.

Just a bit pricey, it was a hot few days, rooms were comfortable and cool but the corridors were hot, not sure if they could do anything about it because of the age of the building, more a comment really.

The breakfast was exceptional, and the team provided outstanding service throughout our stay. The concierge was particularly helpful, offering valuable assistance in planning our activities. They guided us through the various attractions we wanted to visit, helped us manage our time effectively, and highlighted special events happening in London during our visit. Their attention to detail and personalized recommendations made our experience truly memorable.

The beds were noticeably small, which may not be ideal for those seeking more spacious sleeping arrangements.

The staff were so attentive and this was the epitome of a 5 star hotel.The facilities are excellent, rooms and generous and so quiet. The space is spectacular. The team went above and beyond for my wife's birthday and she was so happy with everything.

Everything was a 10/10. Location, staff, attention to detail. Everyone was kind and thoughtful. Would easily stay again.

Loved the beautiful room, the atmosphere in the lobby, the amazing breakfast and the lovely staff

The lighting system in the rooms were very confusing and it was too dark. A lot of waiting time for lift with only one working

The night manager, Alex, was phenomenal. My kids fell sick at night and he was very helpful! Thank you Alex!

Didn’t fix elevator for 7 days. Had to go up and down the stairs to the 4th floor
