    Pros +

    • The staff were delightful and very helpful
    • Nice room that met our expectations. Hotel standards in London are low for the money you pay, but given that, this hotel was quite fine. Staff professional and very helpful.
    • Staff were amazing. All of them. Always went out of their way to help and had a smile on their faces. The room was cleaned everyday and we had fresh towels etc which not all hotels care to do. Unfortunately the room was so small. We had almost no room to walk.

    Cons -

    • I booked a double room and got a king size room, 2 singles pushed together and could barely move around in this room. My partner and I had to take turns moving around. Shower drainage was blocked. Tea not replaced day before check out. Details, details.
    • Be careful of the room selection! The first room we were assigned had a very small bed - not really for two people. Fortunately, staff were able to find us a room with a standard sized double bed.
    • If I have to be picky rooms are a little cosy but plenty good enough for a good stay

My partner and I had a fantastic stay at the Xenia with the staff being very accommodating and the room and breakfast especially great. A special thanks to Saida, Abimanyu, and Paolo who made our stay incredible by facilitating our engagement with special decorations in the room. I would definitely recommend staying in this hotel again!

Wow factor from the minute we stepped in. Treated like special customers, made to feel very comfortable. Was offered tea coffee on arrival. La Terrazza restaurant, part of the hotel was also an Italian delight. Staff and management were so attentive to details, A pleasure to stay there.

All good, no bad points, really, all good

Beautiful boutique hotel and fab staff - The Manager welcomed us on arrival with a hot drink , which was a nice touch on a cold winters day.

I felt safe & was extremely well cared for. I stayed 2 nights prior to hip replacement surgery & 2 nights followed discharge from the adjacent private hospital The Cromwell. The staff excelled themselves.

the freindliness of the staff and their willingness to make our stay more pleasant was the high point.

i booked an executive king size room but it was quite constrained and with little or no 'space'. we asked to be moved and this happened pretty quickly - i reckon it was identical in terms of area but slightly more square layout so didnt feel as cramped.ALSO - I WAS TOLD AT CHECK IN THAT I DID NOT QUALIFY FOR MY BONVOY NIGHTS CREDIT AS I HAD BOOKED THROUGH BOOKING.COM - THATS TWICE THIS HAS HAPPENED SO I WONT BE USING BOOKING.COM AGAIN UNLESS THERE IS A BIG COST SAVING.

I was staying as my husband was having major emergency surgery at the Cromwell hospital next door to the Xenia. The staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful in my situation and always checked that I had what I needed. They found nice tables for me in the restaurant and service was very quick which helped when I had to get back to the hospital.

My room was rather small and I see that in comments by others, but this is a historic building and would not be subject to changing walls or room shapes. Im afraid that if you book in an old building you must expect odd shapes and small doorways..

    10JohnPosted on: 4-24-2025

Staff were very attentive friendly and helpful.

The drinks were very expensive £18 for a glass of wine.

Fantastic hotel in Kensington at about 10 minute's distance to both Earl's Court and Gloucester underground stations. The rooms are not large but they are comfortable and clean. Lovely L'Occitane products in the bathroom. Breakfast was the best we had in all of our UK hotels with so many delicious choices. Hotel staff was kind and helpful. A special shout-out to Tanin in the dining area who made our daughter "THE BEST" hot chocolate she's ever had. We would absolutely recommend Hotel Xenia!

London is an expensive city and this hotel stay was a splurge for us and totally worth it!

    10ThomasPosted on: 4-6-2025

The staff, especially in the front desk and restaurant, were exceptional. When we return to London in a few months, we will definitely stay at the Hotel Xenia!
