Pros +
- Easy access from Luton airport using the busNice neighborhood, safe
- It was cozyy hostel/near public transportation/ close to many restaurants and markets/the facilities were so clean
- nice bed with curtains in spacious room. great location for euston station and so long as you dont mind a . bit of a walk, great for camden market and regents park. north star pub great for food and just couple of minutes walk from hostel.
Cons -
- Very small kitchen Room was noisy
- not applicable.economical and go for it.
- No fan , no AC in the room; felt very stuffy; we had to leave our door always opened to let air in. Showers: horrible design; no ventilation; you can take shower all day long and still feel sticky. First morning I took the shower, i fell very badly bc how slippery it was due to lack of air circulation. The bed: on the day of my check out i noticed multiple red itchy dots all of my body, that looked like bed bugs bites. I reported this issue to the front desk, but no refund or partial reimbursement was offered for this “little inconvenience “. Over rated hostel; would not be back for sure.

good location, near regent's park and camden market as long as you dont mind a bit of a walk. nice building and beds are good with sliding curtain. if you want to save money then this is the best option.
The building was gorgeous! So much more beautiful than I expected! So clean, the vibes there were really nice and friendly too! Very close to a bunch of Underground stations. Easy to find. I think it's the best hostel I have ever been to. Felt fancy, the staff was super helpful every single time. Setup for bathrooms was convenient. I would definitely go again!
Very central, and a great price. The building is gorgeous.
It was ok. Same thing both days . Chocolate croissants were good. Unlimited coffee and juice was good.

This honestly, is probably the best hostel I've stayed in. It is in a beautiful location, with several parks and amenities within walking distance, as well as near a couple of tube stations. And the building itself is quite beautiful, with access to a large lounge with free tea, a bar/restaurant area to eat meals and a kitchen with space to store dry food and food in the fridge/freezer. The rooms and bathrooms are cleaned every day, especially since there's always people coming and going. The staff are particularly helpful; plus, theres an area to store luggage before and after you check-in/check-out. I also opted to pay for the breakfast everyday, which was quite good and definitely worth paying for, compared to going out for breakfast. Would definitely stay again and would recommend others to; definitely understand why they have the stay limit, as most people probably wouldn't want to leave!
There wasn't anything in particularl that I didn't like that could be changed. Some things are just typical of any hostel - i.e. snoring/loud guests (bring earplugs as always), people being loud during quiet hours or coming/going from the room at odd hours, other guests not cleaning up after themselves - which isn't really the hostels fault. And as some have said, the kitchen is quite small, so during meal time can sometimes be a wait to cook your food, though I never had to wait an obsene amount of time. But, as is pointed out, it is an historical building, so they wouldn't be able to make it any bigger anyways. Though, the one burner of the cooktop wasn't working, so would be good to upgrade the cooktop at least, so more than one person can cook at a time.
They were really nice and explained things easily for a very tired traveler. The location was beautiful and breakfast was very good, kind of wished I could have stayed longer. They had plugins in the bed that was fantastic!
Bit difficult to navigate the public transport around that area, and walking with a heavy suitcase.
It had great facilities for the price I paid. The staff were all great. The location was very convenient to traveling around central London.
5min walk from Swiss cottage underground station; comfortable beds with large lockers directly below; showers/toilets clean; nice old building/atmosphere
stayed during December and rooms were absolutely overheated, beds were slim and a little small (~1.8m long)
The style of the place is interesting, it worth the visit. the stuff was friendly. Common areas(to work, to chill) are great, but maybe its not that big?
maybe that some rooms didnt have that much ventilation(i stayed in a 6bed mixed room, which is located on the rootop), due to that I felt humidity and it was cold to open the window((common areas arent always cleaned, so you might find dirty cups, but I think its more resoonsibility of the guests…
Very social hostel, met many great travelers from around the world. Great atmosphere, comfortable beds with plenty of privacy, rooms were very spacious and it was a super central location so you can get anywhere quickly via the underground. Also conveniently placed to grocery stores which was another plus.
The location is a perfect near to bus stops and underground. Staffs are nice. The building is a wonderful
there were no hanger in the room. I stayed in 4beds room, the sink was too small
This is a pure gem in the heart of London. I’ve stayed in many hostels all around the country and I can confidently say this was the best I’ve ever been to. All the staff go above and beyond to create a sense of community, from running Karaoke, to just encouragement to engage in conversation. The location is amazing too, two tube stations and plenty of buses within walking distance, and guides, posters, and very knowledgeable staff to help guide you on what you can do in London. I will 100% be staying here again!
Like with almost all Hostels, loud noise from guests and the pub goes late into the night. I was in a bottom bunk directly above the bar. I expect this from a hostel to be fair, and there’s also free ear plugs in reception if you need them.
This was my second stay at Palmers Lodge Swiss Cottage, as I had a great experience during my previous stay. Check-in process was smooth and extensive luggage storage is available. Each bed has access to a lamp and outlet with USB ports for charging devices. Curtains make for a more private sleeping experience and adequately block light from entering your bed area.
While I did not have a basement room in my previous stay, I stayed in one this time. Such close proximity to toilets, showers, kitchen, and bar meant lots of noise well into the night. Locker drawers under the bed were a bit awkward, as both guests in a bunk shared a drawer with two compartments, with the guest in bottom bunk stuck if the drawer was open. Still an overall positive experience.
It is quite good for a hostel: you get what you pay for and if you choose the breakfast, the spread is quite nice. The staff is also very friendly and there is a nice lounge to work in.
The curtains on the bed could be a bit longer so you can cover the entire length of the bed to block out as much light as possible.
Large spacious rooms. Clean bathrooms. Large common areas to work from or unwind
Almost everything, very beautiful building in a great location. Found some really nice friends and great experiences there. Very nice lobby and everything.
Only the kitchen, it was so small for that many people and it was hard to make a proper meal there. The fridge was also unorganized and full. And it was closed late nights.
I stayed in dormitory room 003 for three nights from the 14th to the 17th of November.Despite the storage space under my bed being padlocked, over 200 euros in cash and some clothes were stolen....
