Pros +
- Very close to Paddington Station!
- Breakfast
- The staff was very helpful in addressing an issue with our room. The breakfast was excellent, and overall the hotel was a good value.
Cons -
- It was small but adequate for a nights sleep prior to departing home.
- Too narrow bed. Very tiny bathroom
- We were actually placed in the Kingsley Hotel, 2 doors down from the Admiral. They are owned by the same people, and things ended up fine, but they need to be more clear about that situation.

LocationComfortable/friendly
Bedroom very hot, no thermostat, window only opened slightly
The location is perfect and the breakfast is amazing!
The shower was a little difficult to manage.
Location to the Tube station
Having to check in at a different hotel 2 doors down, Poor access to hotel and room via 5 flights of narrow steep stairs even when advised one of party not good knees. Inadequate breakfast room for size of hotel, no table available when to breakfast and staff unhelpful. Felt like a youth hostel rather than a hotel. Manager not respectful when challenged regarding the breakfast reimbursement due to no seating would rather ignore and not resolve.
It was very near to where we need to be, to deal with embassy and stuff. That staff was nice they helped when need it.Its a basic hotel if you need something cheap. For the night
No soap in bathroom and bathroom wall were all full of marks,, very small room for the 3 of us,Asked for extra towels only got given the need ones. Not the extra ones. Baby cot was at the end the room because the room was smaller then expected, which made it hard to keep an eye so baby end up sleeping with us and the fridge was humming all night.
Location is excellent with lots within waling distance or numerous tube stations withing 5 minutes walk
All was what we expected baring the size of toilet / shower room. Very small - no good for any bigger framed people.
Location: excellent Wi-fi: excellent Breakfast : very good Room: satisfactory Staff: excellent
We enjoyed our stay at Admiral Hotel. The fact that the building and the room were a bit old and there is no elavator is obviously due to the age and the layout of the building, about which there is nothing much to do. Yet, apart from that, both the administration and the staff do their best to make you feel home. We appreciate their efforts.
Clean and tidy room, comfortable bed,
No lift
Kevin in reception was very friendly and knowledgeable.
Breakfast was very rushed
Staff was friendly but the...
The toilet had no air conditioner so the room was smelling bad
Staff were exceptional. Nothing was too much trouble.
Bathroom felt cramped and was an unusual layout . The sink was that big that getting past it to the toilet was a challenge.
5 min from tube, quiet and calm area.
Bathroom is crying for renovation. Old pipes you can see the rust in the sink. Window cannot be completely closed ( winter time). One small radiator on which only its bottom works.
The standard English breakfast was good and the breakfast staff was friendly.
The stairs are steep and narrow, but this is an old building and it can't be changed. The friendly man at reception helped us with our bags.
Staff assistance very helpful and location to Paddington Station.
Old style English hotel narrow stairs and no lift.
It was lovely and clean . Kevin was lovely, helpful. Breakfast was lovely and hot .
There was nothing
The location is perfect with restaurants
The room was very small even though we were upgraded.
Clean, friendly, good breakfast, basic but accessible.
I booked the hotel to stay the night before I ran the half marathon and checked out before bteakfast so I can't comment on that. The bed was very comfy but my room was in the basement on the main road so quite noisy. That said it was a great location ...very close to Hyde Park which was ideal for the London Half
