    Pros +

    • We were able to check-in very early. Staff was very helpful and pleasant.
    • The hotel is perfectly located with a great staff (especially great was the woman working the front desk during the day). Well worth the price and ideally situated for all sites.
    • The hotel was centrally located. Easy access to the tube stations, both Holborn and Russel square, as well as British Museum. The room is quite small, but the beds were comfortable.

    Cons -

    • Could hear the guests in the rooms next to us. Very thin walls.
    • The air conditioning, though better than nothing (which is the norm throughout Paris) was not strong enough to deal with the mid-80 degree days.
    • Wi-Fi not consistent. booked 10 day trip, and my mistake, I booked off by one day. I showed up one day early. I asked if I could slide my 10 days forward, but they would not allow that, and instead charge me for that extra night.

Hotel was very clean as well as the staff was helpful and friendly.

Everything in London is fairly close. The location was a little bit of a walk to Buckingham Palace and Big Ben. But hen again it is a walk so that is still a benefit.

Location was great, walking distance to everything and food spots directly opposite and a little park across the road

I stayed in room number 7 and it had a window directly above the bed with no blind and view of outside. Honestly the strangest design ever and if I had realised sooner would have definitely requested another room. The light in the room woke me up due to the random window and made me feel slightly uneasy thinking someone could see in considering I had a view of other buildings.

Great location and the staff were friendly!

Very dated decor in the room we had. A hole in the net curtain and the shower was broken and was unusable!

Location was excellent. Easy walk to Russell Square and Holborn tube stations. Breakfast was good and because the hotel wasn't busy at the time of year we were there, there were only a few guests in the dining room. Reception staff were friendly and helpful.

The room was really, really small and I was expecting more for the price we paid. No view. There were hardly any other people staying there, so they might have given us a nicer room, especially considering it hadn't been cleaned properly when we arrived.

Location was great and staff were very friendly and helpful

My room overlooked a pub which was quite noisy and had very bright lights. The blind did not completely stop this light.

Went down for breakfast, told breakfast was not included in our stay, which it was on our booking, breakfast was overcooked, cold and not fit to give my dogs

    As above

Allocated a room at the back on the 7th floor, so surprisingly quiet for central London, room did have some restricted headroom and was quite small, but comfortable and with an opening window. Staff were friendly and helpful and breakfast had good choice and was of good quality. Close to Russell Square and an easy walk to Theatre land and Trafalgar Square, which was great as we were attending a New Year function just south of there.

Hotel had changed its name since we booked, but we did not get any notification of this which led to a bit of stress and we walked straight past it initially. Could do with more than one hot drink machine at breakfast

    Location. Clean too.

Noisy. But that’s london I guess

    Not a lot

Lights didnt work in our room, we then switched to another room where the lights still didnt work, and the fridge didnt work either. Lights and fridge were eventually fixed. There didnt seem to be enough staff. I waited 20 minutes in the bar area for a coffee. It was a shambles. This trip was funded by an Army Charity. My husband has Parkinsons disease and was having tests at the neurology hospital queens square. That was our reason for this trip. Never again

The staff were pleasant and helpful. The room was cleaned extremely well. I was on a work trip.

The room was very 'tired'. There was no room service or dinner though this was advertised on the website. The carpet and curtains could do with a clean. The location is great but the price could be a bit cheaper reflecting on the state of the room.

Reception staff friendly. Big room but bathroom a let down

Bathroom needed attention. Neglected paintwork. Toilet situated in a small corner area.Bread supplied at breakfast cheap. Good selection of items

Zing in reception was personable, friendly and helpful. Also the bar staff was really lovely, amazing!the location was AMAZING!

Room was very small, dark and old fashioned, definitely needs updating.

    Everything was fine.

Location to Eurostar terminal.Staff were very helpful and polite

Room was very shabby. A wet towel was rolled up in the window to stop the water coming in that was running down the wall. Paint coming off the walls.Holes in the carpet and it looked dirty and cheap nasty furniture. I didn’t put my bare feet on the floor.
