Pros +
- Location. Very close to underground station and many restaurants, cafes and super markets.
- Location
- The bed was comfortable. The location was within short walking distance to Underground Station.
Cons -
- It is in desperate need of renovation. Hotel bathroom was very old, things were falling apart. Shower head was a mess. Also, I could not make use of the fridge as I was not able to open it given that the bed was in the way.
- The breakfast was dissappointing. This was advertised as a continental breakfast, however, no pastries such as croissants were present. Only one choice of sliced bread was available, no ham or any cooked meats were on offer. So overall unsatisfied. The air conditioning unit in the bedroom did not operate when the remote control was used to set room temperature.
- The heat was unbearable. It was winter and the radiator was running full blast. There was no way to turn it off. I could only open the window a tiny crack. Also I ordered a wake up call which never came. Thank goodness my cell alarm worked. When I got to the lobby the attendant was sleeping on the sofa so perhaps that was why the wake up call failed.

I’ve stayed here before so knew what to expect. The location is absolutely great, close to parks and metro stations. The staff are friendly and kind. I would stay again.

People very friendly. Strategic position. Clean rooms
Best location, simple breakfast but enough, okish bed
The room was a little bit outdated but comfortable and clean
Great location. Excellent price for London. Clean and quiet. Friendly staff. Appreciated mini refrigerator and kettle.
Room extremely hot. Couldn’t turn down radiator and window only opened a crack. Breakfast not worthwhile. I ordered a wake-up call by going to the front desk and the call never happened. Thank goodness my phone alarm woke me.
The hotel is very well located to shops and transport the staff are very helpful and accommodating
Quiet place, big room, breakfast ok.
Superlative position. Big room for what we expected, very kind staff (especially the lady who welcomed us at the check-in), I’ll consider this hotel when coming back to London
The shower was a bit narrow, but still managed to use without issues; perhaps the breakfast buffet would need to add something more, but we were still satisfied every morning
The hotel was scrupulously clean. The staff were excellent and helpful. When I was unhappy with my bathroom and the excessive heat in the room I was upgraded to a better room at no extra charge for the duration of my stay. The location was great, across from Hyde Park, near to several bus stops and several tube stations. The hotel was two short blocks from the Queensway, the main drag of Bayswater, and had plenty of decent eateries, markets and other stores.
In the doubles room the toilet was placed only two inches from the wall so that it was difficult if not impossible to sit squarely on the toilet. There was no shelf, tray, niche or anywhere in the shower to put my bar of soap. The room was very hot through the night so that I had to sleep with the window open and still, if I slept under the covers, I woke dripping with sweat. There were problems with the lift. It could not go up to the top floor or down to the basement breakfast room for most of my stay and several did not work at all so that I had to climb flights of stairs and as I have a bad knee and walk with a cane this was a real problem. It is supposed to be permanently solved and fixed with the next few weeks. Lastly, the breakfast was ample but insipid. I felt that I was paying for more than I was getting.
Location, space room.
No vegetables for the breakfast.
Location was great. Nice welcome, good standard of decor and bedding. Very quiet. Plentiful pillows. A good breakfast.
The shower controls were a little temperamental, and the bed mattress could have been turned.
Friendly reception and a nice single room which was clean and comfortable, Excellent location for visiting Kensington Gardens and the Royal Albert hall, which was an easy and very pleasant walk across the park. A good choice for the continental style buffet breakfast. Something for all diets really.

Location is great, and the Kensington Gardens are just across the street. Bed was comfortable. Staff were helpful and friendly.
We had a great stay at Troy! Close to everything included two different tube stations and a commuter train station. Scandinavian breakfast, Helpful staff!
No veggies on the breakfast table.
The bed, the shower, the location, the tea and the kettle in the bedroom.
The water to make tea at breakfast wasn't very hot.
