    Pros +

    • Location
    • Situated in a lovely residential area of beautiful buildings, 10 minutes on foot to both Portobello Street Market & Hyde Park. Very helpful & friendly staff especially at reception., and though my single room was really small, there was a nice lounge with a Barrista-style coffee machine with free access, and a water dispenser in the hall.
    • I had a pleasant short stay at this hostel. The check-in and check-out process was smooth and hassle-free. Breakfast was good and satisfying, and the location is nice and very accessible, which made getting around easy.

    Cons -

    • Beds a bit hard and squeaky
    • The bed was too hard for my liking, and the shower was modern & stylish, but very peculiar: good pressure at nearly scalding temperatures, but below that, going down rapidly in pressure, and you could only get a little dribble of cold water? I have a pain condition which gets numbed if I finish my shower on cold, so this wasn't ideal- other guests might not have a problem with this, though.
    • We were given a room on the top floor, which was fine since we had small luggage, but it could be inconvenient for guests with bigger bags. It would have been great to have a kettle or water heater in the room so we could make coffee or tea, as going down to the lobby just to get hot water wasn’t very convenient.

since I was only in the room to sleep and shower the room was more than enough for one person since it only had limited storage and a single bed and the location was perfect, I didn't get the chance to have breakfast because I went out most of the days but the facilities seemed lovely. the staff was very friendly and accommodated all of my needs. the luggage storage was good and even if you don't pay for the locked room like myself and leave it in the lobby there won't be any problems concerning security.

the room was a little colder than I expected and the water pressure was very low, maybe an additional hand towel would have been appreciated, apart from that there is nothing to add.

    Excellent location.

The breakfast. The instant coffee was vile. The tables were so small we couldn't fit our breakfast on it. Only went once. Never used the breakfast room again. Went to the bakery round the corner for croissants and latte. My granddaughter had a bacon sandwich. No lift. Had to drag the case up to 2nd floor. I was exhausted off travelling and could've cried. Not enough pillows for the bed. Only 2 , which gave us one each. I sleep with 2.

Clean in quiet stay in a suitable location in one of the most expensive cities (London)

    9VanessaPosted on: 10-21-2025

The location couldn’t be better — quiet neighborhood yet close to everything. The room was cosy, clean, and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was included and offered good value, with the option to add more choices for a small extra cost.

The stairs are quite narrow since it’s an old building, so carrying large suitcases could be a bit tricky. However, we managed fine and could leave our son’s buggy downstairs. It wasn’t a surprise since I had seen previous comments

Loved the location and had a comfortable and clean room. The bathroom appeared to be brand-new. Breakfast and check-in staff were efficient.

For those who can't do stairs, there's no lift (75 steps up to the 4th floor) Breakfast rooms are crowded and a bit loud.

Overall, the apartment was fine, but unfortunately the shower was not working upon arrival. The staff refused to change

    9PiotrPosted on: 8-20-2025

Great location with a nice room that was surprisingly spacious, for a 2 twin and a bunk bed. It was neat and clean with a few pleasant amenities. The common room with a coffee maker and comfy chairs and couches was also a pleasant surprise.

The breakfast was underwhelming, and we did not expect that we would have to wait in line to even get in just to get some bare minimum few things and be expected to pay a few pounds per 1 additional thing. Instead, we just went out to eat, but it wasn't a big deal for us, and maybe it's common there, just surprised us a bit.

Well located in a nice sector

Really noisy from the outside and the neighbours room. The bathroom was stinking. No A/C. The breakfast in a choice of 4 items.

Great location with lots of nice cafes and restaurants nearby. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Shower is decent and bathroom is nice.

There is no AC so it was very hot - this is not really a fault though as everywhere is roasting in London at the moment! The beds were fine, if a bit squeaky when you moved. However it was great for the price.

Clean, tidy, comfortable bed, local shops and restaurants, close to tube stations, breakfast included, 24 hour reception

Limited breakfast selection, creaky floors, no tea amenities in room

room had everything one would need for a short stay. it was clean too. was able to check in earlier with minimal fuss too.

can be physically taxing to reach your room with luggage if youre on an upper floor (in the other building)

    7FoteiniPosted on: 4-28-2025

Breakfast was quite good and the location was perfect! near tube station, in an elegant and quiet district of London, only one stop far away from Notting Hill gate.

    There wasn't an elevator

    7LicortigoPosted on: 4-20-2025

Room clean and comfortable. Good breakfast and staff very friendly. More than enough for short stay

    7TomasPosted on: 4-18-2025

Location was great, really nice neighborhood also the room, bed and bathroom was really clean which is appreciated.

Breakfast was pretty basic and a bit complicated, you had to choose options on a paper with a maximum of 4 which counting tea or instant coffee. The room was a bit small but I guess that you can expect that. There was also not any complements on the room, like coffee, hot water, etcFinally, we wanted to heat up something on a microwave at the afternoon but they only have microwave on the morning (?) which was a bit weird.
