    • Location
    • Great location.
    • Great location, free wifi (contrary to what was believed), relatively quiet (using earplugs).

    Cons -

    • The room was very small and the sink had two taps for cold water and warm water - very very uncomfortable. They didn't provide any shampoo.
    • They offered free WiFi, but it was purposely extremely slow and there was a data limit, which was all done just to get you to buy a faster connection. Also, the bathroom was tiny, and the basic continental breakfast was overpriced.
    • Can be noisy if no earplugs (walls seemed to be quite thin), unclear if staff changed towels and sheets every day, steep stairs, repaired lift all week while we were there (which was really noisy) and started relatively early (about 8-8:30 AM).

The location was very central. Very close to restaurants. One block walk to the subway (underground).

No bar soap in the bath. No shampoo. We could hear everything outside the room as if the walls were paper thin.

    The location is great.

    Small room.

Great location, walking distance to Paddington and Edgware Road stations.

The room was great for the price we paid. Clean and all we needed for our stay.

The staff did a poor job at getting a drunk client out of the hallway at 11pm. Rang the front desk and they came and checked on him and then let him sleep in the hallway for half hour before checking and getting him to his room.

I liked the way reception handled my initial feeling as I did not feel comfortable I felt claustrophobic in the room they offered and they moved me to a larger room with view of trees and much more airy room with a higher ceiling by the window.

Initially when given the key it was not explained that my number was 416 but it was on the 3rd floor so I did get alittle lost. But what concerned me the most was the mouse stick pad under the bed it gave me a huge fright as I found it by accident as I moved the bed. But I do understand it's a safety strategy as London is a busy city full of homes restaurants people eating in hotel rooms etc.

Great location, clean and spacious for a London hotel.

Luggage room is unsupervised which increases security risk. Drain in shower was dysfunctional. No low light lamps in room.

    Location near Paddington Station

BED BUGSThe first night, I told myself I was imagining it. The second night, I saw them, and spent the next day walking around London scratching my skin. The third night, they gave me a new room. Judging by the nonchalant reaction of the two people at the reception desk, bedbugs were no surprise. I sincerely hope I did not transfer bedbugs from room 16 to the next room I stayed in, but it’s bound to happen if they do not take this seriously. Thanks for giving me another room, I’m on my way home to quarantine my luggage and finally get some sleep. I would not stay here again if you paid me.

Location and price were perfect for our one-night stay.

The property is simply dated, and the room was so small I couldn't even open my suitcase all the way anywhere except on top of the bed. The tiny shower had a broken shelf, so there was nowhere to put the soap except on the ground, which was awkward.

Housekeeping inexplicably removed the fan which is the only source of having air circulation for this ground level room and left our window opened. The hotel seems to allow smoking in the courtyard (facing our room) which filled our room with cigarette smoke. What kind of staff leaves a customers window open without their permission??(which is insecure and puts the guest’s possessions at risk and made our bed and clothes smell like cigarette) The shower is smaller than an iconic London phone booth. It’s impossible to turn and move around inside.

The beds were comfortable and the staff were great.

The room was so hot and stuffy. We slept with the window open to get some air.

    9BettiePosted on: 10-13-2025

    Great location and good staff.

Perhaps a bit on the shabby side in the public areas.

Very little. I only stayed for one night after suffering a serious injury in an accident.

While lying in hospital I contacted the hotel and cancelled the booking. I did not ask for a refund but I asked that a member of staff deliver my luggage to the hospital. I stated that I would pay for a taxi to the hospital and back and also said I would pay a charge for this service. Helping me in this way would have taken less than twenty minutes as the hotel was very close to the hospital. I was told the the hotel did not normally offer such a service, to which I replied that this was not a normal situation. My pleas fell on deaf ears. Given that I had paid for three nights stay and I only stayed for one night, I felt that this was very poor service. Thankfully the hospital staff realised my predicament and was able to collect my luggage. I won't stay there again.

Easy access to Paddington station. Beds were comfy

Bathroom way too small. Shower was pathetic!

definitely location is the main pointperfect housekeeping

breakfast - very simple without variation, missing fresh vegetableluggage storage - there was an open access without any lock for a while, I have to force the receptionist to find the key and lock it

The room with en-suit bathroom was a decent size for a single person. The room was clean and ready early which made it so much easier for me. It had the essential stuff I needed. The staff were very friendly and happy to help and I was so happy with how close the hotel was to Paddington Station!

I found it a bit mind boggling to find my room at first, there are to ways to get to the rooms depending on which room number you are with very little signs to help. There wasn’t many facilities in the hotel so if you fancied a drink at a bar you would have to do it off site. The lifts and bathroom shower were a little outdated and need renewing. I found the shower also very cramped and don’t advise for large/taller people.
