Royal Cambridge Hotel

There was human blood in the hotel, the hotel had rust, stains on pillow cases and walls, no AC/Fan, room incredibly small, and rude hotel manager.

Location !!

Someone is going to die in that shower. When the shower floor gets wet, there is ZERO GRIP. It's so slippery it's a hazard, and there is not an inside grab bar on the shower door to hold on to.

I really appreachiate how kind the gentleman was at check in. I had a weird issue that my suitcase wheels broke on the way in and I had asked for a room near an elevator because my bag was so heavy (23 kg). He was so understanding. He really made my day

The guest were a bit noisy. Not the hotel's fault at all but it's the only negative I had with my stay.

Since I have to say something positive - I liked that it didn't have bedbugs.

Was totally shafted by hotel staff - young lady that answered the phone for bookings assured me there was an early train to Heathrow no problem despite the rail strike. There was not - checked out after 3 hours and had to sleep at the airport.

The location was nice, walking distance to bus tour and public transit, as well as dining options. Staff tried their best to help us with issues.

The hotel was listed as having AC, but we learned that some individual rooms do not. We were placed in a room with no AC because the booking conveniently did not specify a room with AC . This led to a poorer experience than advertised. The room was dirty.

The staff was very nice and the station and food places were walking distance.

Breakfast was not available but is listed on the website. The airport shuttle costs money and the hotel would not pick up the phone or answer any emails. The room was very small. The ac was very slow.

The TV was not working. the opening to the balcony was stuck up and I had to sleep with the open door with the noise and the cold. The bathroom is not practical! They try to minimize the use of water and power! I had my worse night for a long time!

It's location to bus stops.

There was dust balls everywhere. The room was never really clean and the towels and bedding were questionable.

Could be a bit neater but overall it met my needs and expectations.

Position excellent. Room small but has everything necessary for a short stay. We were in the area for an early hospital appointment (live on South coast so travel tricky) and decided a theatre trip the night before. We are on a budget so this worked well.

I liked that it was next to Hyde park.

I was put in a room on the bottom floor closest to outside where laundry is done. I was woken up at 2 in the morning by a drunk male banging on the door to be let in the hotel. Then a huge bang woke us up again at 5 in the morning dropping BAGS of laundry. Also the room in front of us seemed to be a staff room as we heard staff coming in and out. Also our bathroom had no air ventilation. It smelled like human waste when we entered and the smell stayed throughout our stay. I don’t recommend this hotel at all.

The location

The rooms were extremely small. The bed covers had stains on them, you can’t fill the kettle to make hot drinks unless you use a small cup to fill it from the tap. The room we stayed in the air con system leaked water on us as we were about to go to sleep which obviously was very upsetting and disturbing for my child. We phoned reception who eventually after me refusing to stay in the room as felt it was unsafe for me and my child to stay in sorted it and found us another room. But at first wanted us to stay in that room and just puts towel down to soak the water up till morning. But as the aircon system was over the bed I said we could not sleep in that room. Over all very disappointed in the stay having stayed in several different hotels in London for hospital appointments over the past three years.

A comfortable place to stay in a good location. Staff were pleasant and helpful.
