Pros +
- The location
- Convenience for St Pancreas train station
- Very clean, great staff, good facilities.
Cons -
- The rats!
- The sticky floor, the constant noise from other guests, someone setting the fire alarm off at 5am on purpose, the dirty bathrooms with no toilet roll, the exceptionally small room and £25 to play shuffle board.
- Mattresses could be better, and the light/charging station in my bunk didn't work my entire stay.Wish it was allowed to bring drink & food into the hostel, like it would be nice to be allowed to buy bottled water & have it next to your bed.

It was in a very good location in Camden. You just have to watch where you’re walking at night because you don’t want homeless people to talk to you.
So men came out of the women’s bathroom at two in the morning. The facilities weren’t up to par. When we walked in the first night, it actually smelled like someone died. It kind of smells like feet in the bathrooms were messy, and they also charged 5 pounds to use towels. If you want foot fungus, defo the place to go!
Close to the tesco and underground station, 5 minutes by walk
They don’t allow do bring food from outside, i don’t recommend, the price it’s not worth it almost the same price as another hotels, they don’t have microwave to warm food we were forced to buy at their bar and the prices are high
One of the best hostels I’ve stayed at! Super friendly and helpful staff, great entertainment on offer plus fantastic location. Highly recommend a stay here.
Location and breakfast Staff specially guy in breakfast very helpful
Short time
Friendly staff, good location.
Property was fairly dirty and some facilities out of order.
The location of the hostel was good and the beds themselves were comfortable. However, it was very difficult to sleep because the heating was not working. The portable heater provided the next day was not sufficient to properly warm the room during winter, so the temperature remained too low to feel comfortable at night.
Unfortunately, my stay was very disappointing, mainly due to a serious heating issue. When we arrived, there was no heating in the room. It was winter and the temperature inside was extremely low. The room was very cold and humid – even the bedding and personal belongings felt damp. I went to reception to ask for a solution. I was not offered a room change or a portable heater. I was simply told to come back in the morning.I asked them at least to note my room number so the issue could be addressed first thing in the morning, but no action was taken. The next morning, after raising the issue again, I was suddenly given a portable heater — the same one that supposedly “did not exist” the evening before. I also noticed many portable heaters standing in the corridor, which suggests that the heating problem is widespread and known to the staff. There was also confusion regarding the late check-out fee. In the evening, my friend was told it would cost 5 euros. However, when I went to arrange it in the morning, I was told to pay 15 euros “for three people,” even though I was alone in the room that last night, as the other guests had already checked out.Cleanliness was below expectations, especially in the bathrooms. Additionally, there is only one elevator for six floors, which causes long waiting times. The staff were polite, but not helpful. No proactive solution was offered, and every suggestion came from me. It is clear that the heating issue is ongoing, yet no proper support was provided.I would not recommend staying here during winter if the heating system is still not functioning properly.
Room, locker, bed lined al clean and great. Lucky to have respectful roommates. Lots of facilities, bars, plenty of seating areas. Check in very swift.
Two of the gents showers on my floor were out of order which resulted in queues some mornings. The bathrooms in general need a bit of TLC and of course maintenance. A hot drink machine on some floors would be useful as the bars can be busy and there's really no need for staff to have to stop everything to make my coffee!
Great location for what I was visiting for, comfy beds and staff were so friendly!
toilets always smelt dirty, no curtains on the beds
Comfy bedsClean sleeping areas and showersShowers work well and are well ventilated Toilets are cleanFood is niceStaff are lovelySecure area to store luggage in paid lockers Great location, well lit and close to Kings Cross Local restaurants and shops
Hairdryers didn't work in the basement ladies shower roomToilets ran out of toilet roll too quickly Kitchen couldn't handle too many customers Guinness was poorCleaners didn't clean the sink in our dorm during my stay and I was there for three nights
I like absolutely nothing. I regret lodging there.
The environment was so dirty. Poor staff communication in another language, congestion of rooms as room size is inadequate.
The location
Cold, bad internet, loud
Location
Bathroom were always dirty Never any toilet paper Staff was very rude as well They talked to me like I was a homeless person trying to get inThey didn't believe I was staying there They were very rude Literally told me to leave as I was not staying there I said I was, showed my card They didn't apologise after that I asked if they talked to everyone like that,I didn't get an answer Very shocked
The location is the only good thing.
Rooms too small, understaffed, dirty, no place to be chill, everything costed money. Won't let you bring food.
The property is in a really good location, very close to a nice little pub with a good vibe and close to st Pancras and kings cross station and close to Russel square tube station. The cafe area played good music.
I am extremely unhappy with this hostel and regret booking here. Had we known exactly how bad the place is I would never have booked it. For $596NZD for 3 nights in a two bed room that does not have a private bathroom, it is extremely steep for the lack of cleanliness, safety and warmth a hostel is meant to offer. To start off with some of the issues we are facing, the ladies toilet and shower facilities on our floor are abysmal. The showers do not have working locks on the doors, some of them do not have locks at all and the doors do not close properly. I have had someone walk in on me whilst using the shower and I have never felt as uncomfortable, unsafe and humiliated in my life. I do not feel I should be scared to use the shower facilities in fear that someone will walk in on me whilst in a vulnerable state. They lack space, having to squeeze behind the doors just to get into both the toilets and the shower and have no area to put your belongings without fear of them being taken or getting wet.We also had issues with the elevator door not opening multiple times when arriving on our floor which feels rather scary and unsafe to use as we felt like we were going to get stuck inside of it. As the door was not opening we would have to go back to reception and use the stairs, which was extremely inconvenient as my friend has an injured leg and can’t use the stairs very well currently. I notified reception, but was met with no urgency to fix the issue. Our room is also extremely damp and cold, and the heater in the room does not work. There is enough condensation on the windows to fill up a glass. After the first night, there was pools of water on the windowsill that has made lots of our belongings wet. While i understand the UK is currently in their winter season, I don’t feel that we deserve to be damp and cold in our room after the amount we have paid. I also have photo evidence of the condensation in the room.
Location is great. The staff were very nice.
Wi-fi didn’t work for me at all.Party music downstairs could be easily heard in bedrooms upstairs. So it was not that easy to sleep.Bathrooms and toilets had issues with pipes, clogging, or were just fully broken. This place was definitely great before, but wear and tear appeared everywhere.
Friendly and vibrant atmosphere
Bedding was thrown on in a way that I couldn't tell if someone had slept in it or just really messy, there were bits in the bedding suggesting it wasn't clean and the bedframe was unclean with bits of food on that a previous gust must have dropped. Suggests beds are rarely cleaned properly. Hairdryers in women's bathroom didn't work.People were allowed to congregate and smoke directly outside if the form window do was really loud.Check in seemed to take ages at the desk, slow service.Bar area was busy but a bit unkempt and messy which should have been managed better by more staff.
Excelent service and very clean . Staff very friendly and the location has facilities for disabled people .
