    Pros +

    • Location, excellent breakfast, friendly staff, value as advertised
    • This Hotel is in a great location. Unfortunately, the service over all is just about "OK". Staff was found usually to be on the defensive vs. apologizing first for things gone bad. They come up with various excuses and were short on correction.
    • Nothing the room smelt of raw sewage was in a basement with no natural light Did not have any facilities in the room A triglycerides dreadful hotel The fact you promote it is not good

    Cons -

    • Shower head had a spray defect but not very significant; mattress and pillows somewhat firm and uncomfortable
    • The carpet needs cleaning. Change of towels, window curtain not hung up properly. Staff needs Training with "best practices in the Hotel Business".

    Location

We were switched over to a sister hotel because they had apparently overbooked (even though we booked 2months ahead). We were told we were going to get their best room as well as complimentary breakfast for the inconvenience. It did not live up to the

    Modern small clean rooms.

Request to use dining area to work was rejected.

The location was undeniably convenient—just steps from Paddington Station, which made getting around the city incredibly easy. The room was also clean and generally well-kept, which I appreciated.

the room itself was extremely small. I barely had space to move around, and I ended up storing my luggage under the table because there was nowhere else to put it. On top of that, the room was quite cold throughout my stay. I actually had to wear a jacket indoors to stay comfortable, which wasn’t ideal.

Night shift reception staff was good and some of the day staff was nice

Terribly small rooms even as we booked the triple room.. no phone to call the room service. No water given regularly in the room.lift isn't working since Christmas but it wasn't mentioned when we booked in Jan hence unbelievable inconvenience carrying the big bags in the small stairway with no help.

The shower was really goodThe location was close to Paddington Station and heathrow express

If you wish to keep promoting this property on your site you should add disclaimers or lose credibility1. Room; 1.1. double bed was wrapped by 4 walls with 2 feet between door and bed; 6 inches on tv side; less on window side1.2. room did not resemble pictures on web site1.3. bathroom was so small that when you tried to turn around you bumped into the sink, shower, toilet1.4. there were two little towels1.5. windows did not open2. Elevator: just about big enough to squeeze 2 in, someone with large suitcase or overweight might not make it3. Billing process: suspect as it added a few dollars to the confirmation stated amount caused by credit card company! lol lol lol

Location was fantastic, a short walk from Paddington Station but also so many iconic London locations. The room and bed were comfortable.

The rather old lift was not working properly - I was able to use it for my luggage, but it was described as not safe for people. My room was on the third floor, not a huge problem for me but could have been for some people.

    9PamelaPosted on: 12-6-2025

I loved the location and the nice, clean, welcoming hotel.

    The room was very small.

    10RiggPosted on: 11-14-2025

Probably the location. Was well positioned between Lancaster Gate and Paddington Station so easy access to all parts of London. Very good choice of restaurants and pubs in easy walking distance.

Be very careful with your choice of room type. Some rooms are extremely small as well as the bathroom and storage space (no closets as such - just a hanging rail) so if you are there for an extended period there may not be enough room for your clothes. I actually had a ground floor room on the street and have to say it was remarkably quiet. I think that’s because in general, drivers in London do not tend to lean on their car horns!

The staff is very professional and works for comfort of the guests. The location is amazing, close to the train station that makes it even better. Rooms are clean and kept tidy, overall a great place to lodge.

The best thing about the hotel is the location - 5 min walk from the rail and underground stations. A lot of places around to eat or to have drinks. Easily found a nice place for breakfast that was cheaper than hotel offered. At the same time the area is quiet, no crazy traffic and not noisy during the late hours. The hotel is maintained in good condition and the staff is very helpful. The room I had was quite small but worked fine for me as I was the only guest. The bed was very comfortable and bedsheets fresh and clean. Cleaning was done everyday with a change of towels.

Since the hotel is located in the classical English building the corridors and the lift were very narrow. Also the lift was only up to 4th floor and to make it to the 5th guests need to take a very narrow stairs, which is quite difficult with a suitcase. This might be a problem for people with reduced mobility or heavy luggage. Another problem was with a water supply in the mornings - most probably because of a big number of guests occasionally there was no water in the shower and it lasted for 10-15 min.And finally, the cleaners absolutely were forgetting to clean the coffee machine from the used coffee capsules. Not a tragedy but...

    Location. Very nice room.

Very hard mattress and pillows. We were on the ground floor and the street noise was too much. Our room was behind the kitchen. The breakfast preparation noise started early and kept me from sleeping in.

The location is the only plus to this hotel

The room was claustrophobic, they gave us the smallest suffocating room in the 4 th floor. I suggest to say no to any of the 4 th floor rooms. I learned from experience.. The ceiling is extremely short and not the value for money for 800 pounds 3 days 3 nights. This doesn't give you a feeling of staying in a 3 star London vibe hotel. There wasn't even a chair. Did not meet any standards for a decent room.

    8KevinPosted on: 9-15-2025

Clean. Friendly staff. I accidentally booked two rooms and they were kind enough to cancel the second when I arrived. Great location to Paddington Station.

    3PatriciaPosted on: 9-15-2025

Location was great. We wanted to be near to the train station.

Tiny bedroom, very cramped. No air conditioning only a fan in extreme hear of London summer

    7MichaelPosted on: 8-26-2025

The rooms were clean, it did have wifi, and 2/3 of our rooms were close.

No AC, so it was pretty hot, though there was a fan. The stairs were tight and steep. There was a tiny elevator but you couldn't fit more than 3 people with luggage in it. and it was slow. Our kids' room was pretty far away, though still on the same floor.
