Pros +
- Comfy, modern rooms with a short walk to the train station. Shops and restaurants nearby!
- I like almost nothing about living in this hotel, unfortunately — one of the worst experiences I've had so far. First of all, photos are made with a fish-eye lens, and the room is so small that you bump into the walls and something else all the time. I literally experienced claustrophobia there. The second I've decided to open a wardrobe or a cupboard with all the kitchen furniture, the room is blocked, and I can't go anywhere in the room.
- The location was incredibly central and convenient, with a bus stop and tube station just steps away. We loved having so many great Middle Eastern eateries nearby and enjoyed two fantastic meals. There’s also a small Tesco and Sainsbury’s close by. The room had everything we needed for a short stay.
Cons -
- There is not enough space for a normal human. The room is extremely small. If I wanted to live in a hobbit's apartment, I'd have chosen it. Instead, I believed the photos and my wife and I felt as if we lived in a closet. The second problem was with the sink. The water didn't wash away properly. We asked them to call a plumber, but no one came. The third problem is the room service. We had to ask for toilet paper, because for some reason they think that 2 rolls of it are enough for a week for two adults. One more disgusting thing is that they put regular liquid soap as a hair shampoo. My hair felt awful after that.
- The room was quite warm, and we couldn’t adjust the thermostat, so we had to open the window despite it being winter. They advertise secure baggage storage, but the bags are left in reception, which didn’t feel very secure.

Very clean
Edgeware road was not v nice area
Very uncomfortable. Does not reflect the score it has on booking.com
AC was dysfunctional, rooms got really sweaty at night. Staff was very confrontational and we overheard there were mice in some rooms. Google reviews confirmed with pictures. Area seemed really unsettling. Beds were really uncomfortable and we didn't really sleep throughout our time at the hotel. Had to even buy a fan to be able to cope with the temperature at night when they turned the AC off. The outside temps were around 13°C. Staff was keen to start fighting about how you don't have a right to a refund no matter what, even when politely enquiring about the dysfunctional AC.
Everything looks new, very pretty. It looked luxurious
That the room was very small. It was the two of us wait two big luggage and one carry-on and two backpacks and we felt like we were in a very tight space.
It was clean
Our stay could have been pleasant, as some staff were polite and helpful, but one situation ruined the experience. The hotel previously listed that rooms had AC (as shown on Google when I booked, which I have screenshotted). Our room’s AC did not work, while another room in our group did. When I raised this with staff, one employee denied there was any AC at all. He told me to email the manager, which I did, but I never received a reply. Only after getting no response did I ask again at reception — for either a phone number or a move to another room. Instead of helping, the same employee threatened to shut down the AC in the other room.Later, I noticed the hotel quietly removed the AC feature from Google.Other staff were nice, but this was handled very poorly. If it hadn’t been peak London season with no availability elsewhere, we would have left.
The location
The towel were smellyThe room very small i gor hit many timesThe staff charged me for an extra 1 hour they don't have any consideration. It was only 1 hour late and most hotel they check out at 12 they check out at 11 and changed me 20 bounds for it.They got the 20 but lose a customer.
Great location. Friendly staff. Clean rooms.
Expensive for what you are getting but competitive for London prices.
Modern, clean room with nice bathroom and a handy kitchenette. Conveniently located 30 mins walk from Hyde park, where I was doing a swim event. +10 min walk to Paddington station.
There was a loud hum that sounded like a generator constantly through the night. It didn't bother us too much as we have earplugs, but it might be an issue for others.
-convenient location -nice staff- comfortable bed - overall perfect for short stay
- little stuffy in the room - but I kept the windows open, and everything was fine.
Room is new and toilet facilities
The location is very creepy You walk out and everyone stares at you Also no place for taxi to park in front of the hotelYou always need to walk 3 mins to the petrol station to get in ur uberThe staff is very rode and not helpful at allI asked for check out at 12 which is 1 hour pass the official check out time they told me you will pay 20 pounds Also when I checked in there were no safety box in my room and they told me it’s fine wait until tomorrow to change the room Had to stay and nag and complain to booking to solve this minor issue Don’t recommend it at all Pay a little extra and stay closer to mayfair
Sazida in the reception was kind and helpful. And the hotel is clean
No free bottle of water
it is perfect place for its money. Good location, near metro station, lots of arabic/lebanese restaurants nearby, which I like. Train station is very close too. The hotel is new and very stylish. You can also leave your bags if you are waiting for check in, or after check out.
Great location close to the tube station, we were able to leave our luggage and go explore the city before our check-in. The staff was great and we had a nice chat with the receptionist who recommended some places to eat locally. Access to our floor with a lift, everything was quiet and super clean. The room and the hotel were newly decorated/refurbished and looked great. We had enough space for two, with our mini kitchenette and a 5* shower ! Plugs next to the bed were a great touch for the connected traveler too. But seriously, great shower! I have stayed in 4*-5* hotels before that did not have that quality in the shower. Also the bed was very comfortable and the air con welcome as it was a warm weekend. I will come back next time I am in London!
We forgot to bring our own tea/coffee. There were 2 tea bags (+ suger+2 biscuits) on the tray in the room that we used on day 1, but we would have liked it to be refilled on the second day. Next time we will bring our own tea bags to make sure we can have a brew in room :)
The room is clean and the ventilation is perfect Good value
The towels weren’t clean and fresh. No telephone to contact room service. Room was too small and the area isn’t safe enough.
Horrible
Absolutely horrible experience. My room smelt terribly of mold/damp to the point I woke up with a headache and sore throat. I had to sleep with the sheets over my head to try and escape the smell. This room should not be in operation and I’m disgusted. I asked to switch rooms and the receptionists said no. I then asked him to come to the room and smell the horrible smell and he said, with a cocky smile, “I don’t smell anything” which was a complete and utter lie as I had two colleagues also staying in the hotel come to my room and said the smell was horrible.
As someone who constantly travels and regularly books places in London, I’ve seen it all. I’ve paid for places that have been just forgotten. However, NOX was a complete surprise. It had every single thing I needed. The kitchen in the room was very complete. All was new and clean - something rare to find these days.Appreciate the comfort. Will already be staying in another NOX in just a few days!
This was a budget driven stay, we could go home after the show or have a drink and stay. We found this, it was excellent. This part of Edgeware Road doesn't look great, but is safe. Once you are through the door, it is pristine. 5 mins walk to Bakerloo, Circle and Hammersmith & District lines. Will actively seek these places again.
Exactly as pictured, this room was spotlessly cleaned, modern and well maintained. It had fantastic facilities including stove, fridge, microwave etc. the location was right next to both buses and the subway so it was very convenient for getting around all of London easily. It was a hassle free booking and we would highly recommend it.
It would’ve been nice to have more natural light and some air con as reception stated there was no working air con however this didn’t impact our stay drastically.
