Exceptional Service, Great Housekeeping staff, and Concierge help to die for.

I did not like the restaurant. The shape of the restaurant is the problem. It is long and thin, and has no character. The staff were tremendous and the food excellent, but a great restaurant needs an appropriate space.

Staff was friendly and helpful. Great location. Nice, large and light-filled room -- which can be unusual for London.

Yes, the room was very small, bed was uncomfortable, the room was noisy, with lots of noise outside the hotel and construction taking place inside the hotel during our stay. The heating and cooling system didn¿t work properly. The room was very dated.

The location! Staff was very friendly. Comfortable old elegance property. Heated towel bars in bathroom.

Property needs some refurbishing. Carpets are getting worn and stained. Staff needs training on providing 100% accurate information. We had an issue with an ATM charge (was told there wouldn't be one) and scheduling a taxi, which led to huge stress.

The location was in a great location, steps from Harrod¿s. The staff were cheerful and helpful with a special shout out to  the concierge. He was extremely helpful! Whether it was directions or setting up transportation for the next day.

The Capital Hotel is brilliant. We loved the British character of the hotel. The staff was even more brilliant. They were fun, caring, and proficient. Congrats to the bar, kitchen and restaurant staff, above and beyond service. Cudos to the cleaning gals.

Space, location, staff

The staff were very helpful and friendly. The hotel was in a great location, and had lots of good shopping around.

The hotel room was extremely hot. We asked for a fan for our room and it made it feasible to sleep in the room. It was not that warm outside, however the hotel was kept so warm it was miserable

The staff!! They were the absolute best. There was always a friendly face to welcome us back after a long day of exploring and they helped us with whatever we needed. This has been my favorite hotel experience because of the staff.

The staff was excellent. The airlines lost a piece of luggage and the staff, were great in helping us to get it back.

I liked the staff and the proximity to Harrods.

Very poor air conditioning. It was noisey and obsolete. Didn’t properly cool the room. The classic double room was so tiny that I could hardly open my suitcase. The bathroom was tiny as well. The hallway into the room was very narrow. There was peeling wallpaper outside my room. On day two, the elevator stopped working. My view was to the back of the hotel and I heard garbage noise at night. The only saving grace was the outstanding staff.

I loved that it’s a boutique hotel with a cozy feeling. The staff were great, the room was lovely, and the location was perfect, close to Harrods, great shops, restaurants, a pharmacy, and a supermarket, all within walking distance.

There wasn’t anything major I disliked. My room’s standing shower was a bit small because that floor hasn’t been renovated yet, unlike the newer floors (5 and 6). I’m sure the floor I stayed on (4th) will be updated soon. Other than that, everything was great. the team was very helpful, always provided anything I needed, and the room service was available anytime.

A perfect stay. Unfortunately I ended up being sick for the 3 days I was there but had a beautiful suite to recover in.

Location and staff

The photos showed us a brand new and renovated hotel and our room was super old. The bathroom was nothing like the photos.

Location is so convenient & staff are beyond nice & cordial.

I asked twice by sending messages for a calm room as I am a light sleeper but was given a room overlooking the noisy street. Also hotel guests talk loudly after mid night in corridors. Rooms need renovation & my mattress was not comfortable at all with a curve in the middle.
